There's a good trick to thread your needle if you roll the eye over the thread it picks up the thread and pushes it through. I'm sure there's a TH-cam video to show you, but it has helped me since my eyes have gotten worse with age. Be Safe on your Travels Rowan. That’s a good idea- I’ve never heard of that! I haven’t had too much trouble with condensation. I think the fleece on the outer side of the window covers helps absorb some and then throughout the day it dries out. If it ever gets too damp feeling in the car- like one time my water cooler spilled lol- I use something called damp rid which works great to absorb extra moisture!

I've worked so hard to keep my home since I was 31 whether it was hard work or renting out rooms and I'm tired . Some close family has passed, my close sister was one..mom and more .and some family barely come anymore.. can't see my grandkids as much as I thought so Im on the fence about renting my house or selling getting a promaster but I can't leave sad but maybe it'll make me feel better..ugh part of me wants to get a different education and work a good purpose the other part wants to quit it all together 😅😢😅
Maybe you can rent it out for six months or a year and travel to see how you like it. You wouldn’t necessarily need a big van- you could start with a minivan or an suv just to try out nomadic vehicle dwelling. And if you loved it- sell the house and get a van. If you really missed the house, you could go back to it. It might not feel as sad, and maybe more exciting, knowing you have options.

Why are Vanlifers so adamant about being STEALTH? IS it for safety or for legalities? Do people get tickets.. Ive been researching vanlife in case i want to sell or rent my house..
Hi! Thank you for asking! I can’t answer in general for vanlifers because I’m sure there is a variety of reasons but I’m happy to answer for why stealth is important to me. A big part of it is for safety. I practice stealth because I figure the less attention I draw to my home on wheels, the less unwanted attention I will have to deal with. This is my home. I don’t have a private yard, or even very much space between the walls and the outside public world. It feels safer for me to keep the fact that I may be inside hidden from the random passersby, who may become curious if they see a light about who is inside. Sometimes, such as at campgrounds, I don’t feel the need to be quite as secretive, although the idea of someone shining a light inside on me while I’m sleeping usually keeps me putting the curtain and covers up. Sometimes I sleep in an overnight approved street parking spot, and in a state where sleeping in your vehicle is allowed, and I still practice being stealth for the reasons I mentioned. These days I seek peace. That means following laws to the best of my knowledge, and also practicing stealth to avoid potential issues arising. I hope that helps!! I am happy to answer more specifically if it helps and I certainly can’t answer for every vanlifer. There are many reasons people choose to live in their vehicles, and as many reasons why a person would choose to maintain stealth living.

I think sometimes too there is a level of stealth when people don’t want to share that they are living in their vehicle. When I first started my serving job i had last summer I didn’t necessarily want people to know that I lived in my car because I didn’t want the questions, until people got to know me as an employee a bit. For that reason it was important to me that my car blended in with the other cars.
