    Hi I have thyroid gland I'm on the sector to operation it good or bad to do operation

    • @ArogyaPhysioTips
      @ArogyaPhysioTips  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Whether a thyroid gland operation is good or bad depends on several factors, including the individual's specific medical condition, the reason for the operation, and the potential risks and benefits associated with the procedure.
      Here are some considerations:
      1. **Medical Need:** Thyroid gland operations, such as thyroidectomy or thyroid lobectomy, may be necessary to treat various thyroid conditions, including thyroid cancer, large thyroid nodules, hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), or severe thyroid enlargement (goiter). In these cases, surgery may be the best or only option for treatment.
      2. **Risks and Benefits:** Like any surgery, thyroid gland operations carry certain risks, including bleeding, infection, damage to surrounding structures (such as the vocal cords or parathyroid glands), and potential complications related to anesthesia. However, the potential benefits of the surgery, such as resolving thyroid-related symptoms or removing cancerous tissue, may outweigh these risks.
      3. **Alternative Treatments:** In some cases, alternative treatments such as medication or radioactive iodine therapy may be available as alternatives to surgery. The decision to undergo surgery should be made after considering all available treatment options and discussing them with a healthcare provider.
      4. **Individual Factors:** The decision to undergo thyroid gland surgery should be based on an individual's medical history, overall health, preferences, and goals. Factors such as age, the extent of thyroid disease, and the presence of other medical conditions may influence the decision-making process.
      Ultimately, whether a thyroid gland operation is considered good or bad depends on the individual's specific circumstances and the expertise of the medical team involved. It's important to have open and thorough discussions with healthcare providers to understand the risks, benefits, and potential outcomes of the surgery before making a decision.

    • @ArogyaPhysioTips
      @ArogyaPhysioTips  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not a doctor, i am a physiotherapist but I can offer some general guidance. Hyperthyroidism can indeed cause a range of symptoms, including the ones you mentioned. It's essential to consult with a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan tailored to your specific situation. Here are some steps you can take:
      1. Consult a doctor: Schedule an appointment with an endocrinologist or a healthcare provider experienced in treating thyroid disorders. They can conduct tests to confirm hyperthyroidism and recommend appropriate treatment.
      2. Follow Treatment Plan: Depending on the severity of your condition, your doctor may recommend medications, radioactive iodine therapy, or in some cases, surgery. Follow their advice closely and attend follow-up appointments to monitor your progress.
      3. Manage Symptoms: While undergoing treatment, you can take steps to manage symptoms such as hair loss, weight loss, and joint pain. Eating a balanced diet rich in nutrients, getting regular exercise (if approved by your doctor), and practicing stress-reduction techniques like meditation or yoga can help.
      4. Hair Loss: Consider gentle hair care practices, such as using mild shampoos and avoiding excessive heat styling or tight hairstyles. Your doctor might also recommend supplements or topical treatments to support hair growth.
      5. Weight Loss: Focus on consuming nutrient-dense foods and maintaining a healthy calorie intake. If your weight loss is excessive or concerning, discuss it with your nutritionist to provide you with a healthy diet plan.
      6. Joint Pain: Gentle exercise like swimming or walking can help alleviate joint pain. Additionally, your doctor may recommend over-the-counter pain relievers or prescribe medications to manage inflammation.
      7. Support Network: Don't hesitate to lean on friends, family, or support groups for emotional support during this challenging time. Managing a chronic condition like hyperthyroidism can be overwhelming, and having a strong support network can make a significant difference.
      Remember, every individual's experience with hyperthyroidism is unique, so what works for one person may not work for another. Always follow the guidance of your healthcare provider and communicate any concerns or changes in symptoms promptly.

      Cut gluten, dairy, sugar. Avoid iodine (in table salt, egg yolk, sea food...).
      Make sure to cut anything that you are allergic to, take a test. Take care of your gut, this is vital. Take probiotics high in numbers like 50 billions.
      The powerfull herbs are bugleweed and lemon balm (tincture or supplement).
      You need good quality selenium, containing selenomethionine. Vit. D, zinc, magnesium, vit b12 or b complex. Good quality fish oil. Vit C.
      Check if you don't have gut yeast (candida) or bacteria in your gut.
      And I forgot most important thing, eleminate stress and exercise.

    Is it not recommended to go to the gym with hyperthyroidsm ?

    • @ArogyaPhysioTips
      @ArogyaPhysioTips  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Individuals with hyperthyroidism should approach gym workouts cautiously and ideally under the guidance of a healthcare professional or a qualified fitness trainer who understands the condition. Exercise can be beneficial for managing certain symptoms of hyperthyroidism, such as fatigue and weight changes. However, intense workouts might not be suitable for everyone with this condition.
      It's essential to consider the individual's health status, symptoms, and energy levels. Moderate exercises like walking, yoga, or light strength training could be more appropriate initially. It's crucial to listen to the body, avoid overexertion, and pay attention to any adverse reactions during or after exercise. Always consult a healthcare provider before starting any exercise program if you have hyperthyroidism.

The docs said i have to remove it but i was hesitated since the TSH was normal and didnt do the surgery.
