Ive been struggling for 3 days in a row now getting recked by Gilga everytime. Will try this build tomorrow. I am so fed up with the bullshit what feels like unblockable moves by Gilga. I have perf block materia and i can`t get the damn timing right. Such a bullshit fight if your not good at parrying. Pray for me 🙏

THE BEST STRATEGY. Good setup, breakdown, and demo. This was like a hybrid of every other strategy I tried, but those ended in failure and dozens of re-tried battles. Your strategy is very realistic and achievable; I finally beat Virtual Sephiroth after my 3rd attempt. Subscribed!

@@Elon-n9q You just have to get lucky, I also struggled on Odin, but if sometimes he loses interest in Yuffie and you can spam brumal. You have to watch the enemies not just spam it blindly.
Ive been watching Optinoobs videos on brutal and ive sailed through the content so far thanks to his help. However, this build seems better for outer worlds (havent tried it yet) so gonna give it a go and see if i can beat it. Thanks.

@ try not to get hit a lot and hit him hard enough to stagger him. Shows in video. You have to have the right material and max level. It took me numbers of tries to get this done. I sure any gamer has been through this.
A million thanks BltzZ. Suffered through this for weeks. Not screwing around with shadowy chains made all the difference in the world. The guide was full proof. Didn't even have to use faith. Finished at 3:06. Need to still do the Cloud and Zack, Cloud and Sephiroth legendary. Going to wait on you to drop guides before trying to go through ten rounds.

Spent the last two days struggling with this onslaught using Tifa's dive kick - got Sephi to about 30% & couldn't finish him. After a couple warm-ups with this I did Sephi first try & the whole thing in 4 minutes! Cheers
Mate, after about 20 overall attempts (and about the 4th time of getting to Sephy) I did it!!! Sephy didn't get chance to do any chains or anything, he got staggered and annihilated!! Thanks for your amazing guide!! Now onto legendary challenges!!😊
Took about 5 hours using this method. Odin was being a Gott-blocker and doing crazy stuff that ended my run every time. Finally broke through, only had to face Gilgamesh twice, and beat V. Sephiroth on the first attempt. This method made all the difference!

Because of players like you, a story lunatic with bad game skills like me can get the gratification of beating the hardest challenges... minus the sit ups; fuck that lol. Since I can't resist morbid theory crafting, I got another one about 'girl Kefka' lol. What if, per Scarlet's suggestion to Rufus, Elmyra for the assurance of Marlene's safety, is coerced into doing an international broadcast endorsing Shinra's fight against Avalanche, scapegoating Avalanche over Meteor, blaming them for Aerith's death, and claiming that Aerith worked with and supported Shinra. The commercial closes with a shot of Elmyra standing with the board of directors. Scarlet is holding Marlene like she's her daughter. With this, Shinra attempts to quell fighting by uniting the world against Avalanche, gives the party a covert warning about what could happen if they interfere, and Scarlet is further able to get under Tifa's skin. Revenge for when she kicks the crap out of her on the mako cannon. In OG Cait Sith made it clear when he was busted as a spy that Shinra has access to Marlene. This time, let the psychopath do it... Here's what fascinates me about Scarlet. From what she's done in this world, she is not as evil as Hojo, but I'd say she's pretty close. However, she's ten times more aggressive.
This method works incredibly well. Took 2-3 tries to really get the pattern down so expected to die as I was trying it out. By the 4th try made it all the way through while beating Gilgamesh and Sephiroth the first time I actually faced them. Even though this is a daunted fight hated by most, actually wanna do it again for fun!
Tight Tight Tight! I completed this back in April with Yuffie, Tifa, and Aerith with a fairly similar load out. Going to try this method and see if I can get my completion time down. As always, thanks for the bad ass combat guides!

Thank you so so much. I was frustrated after trying dozens of times through various TH-cam videos. Then, I watched your strategy video today and succeeded in just a few attempts. In particular, I was surprised that I could easily get to Sephiroth using your strategy. You are a genius. I was scared because it was so difficult, but I eventually succeeded. thank you.
I ran this same team, only I made both Cloud and Aerith fire mages. Additionally, I had Cloud equipped with Prayer, Barrier+All, and Haste. But largely similar concepts were employed.
I got through half the Legendary Bouts and all Brutal challenges except Rulers of the Outer Worlds without looking up other people's methods. The method I used for Rulers was very similar to this, though not nearly as consistently effective. It still took me about a dozen tries.
Hey man, I just wanted you to know that I beat rulers of the outer world and im never doing it again. Haha! After at least 100 tries, I finally did it thanks to your video. Like no joke, sephiroth got in like 2 hits in and after that he never had a chance to do anything else. And it was my first time getting to him and i beat him first try. Ha! So now I can go through hard mode. Thanks alot man! Oh, and my time was 4:08.
Makes me wanna go back and try this build . I did the platinum twice for me and a friend using aerith lb recycle and yuffie atb battery and dark side melee cloud
Update: I finally beat this!! Took me 3:36. I put Magnify+Healing on Cloud instead of Synergy. And put another vitality up and Time on Yuffie so she can be re-hasted. Gilgamesh started with Daemon Wave so I Brumal it and ATB Ward under her and got the combo going. For Sephiroth, your strat work for Yuffie to Brumal his attacks and got the ATB Ward on her, got Cloud starting the combo, he didn’t get to Shadowy Chain anybody! He did change his affinity to fire tho
New sub here man, thanks a lot for this video. Beat it in my first time reaching Sephiroth, like 5th time trying the challenge. I had to go back and fight Sephiroth again to assess him. Are you putting out a video for Cloud/Zack & Cloud/Sephiroth as well?
It took me several tries but I did it in 2:43! The last 2 rounds were definitely the hardest. Gilgamesh would randomly aggro Yuffie with whirlwinds and frog, that's instant fail. Any tips on Sephiroth if you fail to dodge the initial triple slash? It sucks to fail essentially immediately if that happens. Otherwise, GREAT guide!
One thing with the Hermes shoes, you have to watch your 2nd ATB bar and make sure your haste don’t run out otherwise you’re screwed without a Time materia. With Speed Demon Keychain, Yuffie have to be hasted which is an extra step, but your bar stays at 2 ATB. Gilgamesh is a make or break for my runs. Gotta anticipate his attacks and not be too hasty. Sephiroth is a pain too. Gotta get that -aga spell down before he Shadowy Chain someone. If Yuffie gets Chained, it’s over
@@BltzZactually, the Fuma Shuriken would be better for this because it has the Weapon Ability ATB Recovery skill (requires max weapon level) which is the same effect as the Speed Demon Keychain - with this setup, no need to cast Haste with Hermes Shoes and Yuffie doesn’t lose ATB

My magic attack is 507 on cloud. Aerith gets up to 560ish with plumose. Tifa has the second best magic stat in the game when using attack magic attack swap because with the Kaiser knuckles she has like 530 w/weapon level 9 but yeah since this is rulers nobody's going to be level 9 unless they're revenge running (me lol)
Your build is perfect, but I run out of MP quickly, and I end up losing to Gilgamesh because of it. Could you suggest something to solve this problem? (By the way, some of the blue and green materials are not fully upgraded yet.)

Thanks for this guide, I still get hit hard and there is no way to heal my teamates, and cloud constantly runs out of the arcane ward which makes it more dificult to do damage\,
Blitz this build is crazy! Can get to sephiroth in 3 minutes but can't get past seph. I can get him to about half health then I die. Is it just bad luck? I can't keep cloud and/or aerith away from him and one keeps getting locked. Will keep at it though! ☺️👍🏻
You got this dude, Sephiroth is all about delaying the magic between cloud and aerith and keeping him pinned down from one or the other. then ATB boost with yuffie to keep atb flowing. You are close

Hay Bltz, How long do you think it will be before they bring Rebirth to PC, I have been wanting to play this title for awhile now, And from what I heard it wasn't going to be as long as it was for remake, however, I'm hearing conflicting stories now saying it wont be till the end of 2025 or even early 2026, what a bummer if true😒😒
Lowers the damage at the highest level by -25%. But you can erase that from happening by using Magic Focus materia and pair it with the same materia thats paired to the magnify.
@@BltzZ Ah! Great, I finally did it within an hour. Turned off magnify during the fights with Gil and Seph but also played on the console and not my portal… I think there was a delay and it kept getting the best of me…. Or I’m just getting older.
Could you not technically cast faith as Yuffies first action? Sometimes, other than throwing her shruiken out, shes just waiting for Aerith to cast ATB ward.😊

Dude idk what it is I've been at it for so long at first I got walled at Gilgamesh with my build I finished the game with and after looking up guides I consistently get to sphi without much trouble at all and I'm just getting shadowchained right after the first combo every time I don't understand cloud gets 2 atb and is just insta shadochained before thundaga fires off then aerith hits 2 then she's shadochained and it's back to the beginning I just don't understand why and on all the runs I see it's not happening to anyone else but I'm absolutely losing my mind over this
So you dont show any of the instakill moves the enemy does? 10 seconds into seph fight and he insta paralyzes my entire team and kills them at once. You dont even mention this?
Beat him just few hours ago for the first time. I think it is pure RNG bull*t ... if you are quick enough you can start showering him with Firaga / Thundaga before he can land a single Shadow Chain (in my case he blocked Cloud but i was already spamming Brumal Form / Firaga so he couldn't block the others). Once he is down the 'bout half HP he loses the shadow chain move and blocked pc's are released.
I’m worried the Brumal Form method has been patched because it I can’t spam it any more, I run out of ATB instead of it being essentially infinite like in this video.
@@BltzZ I did. For me the Haste granted by Hermes shoes was not granting enough ATB. So I tried directly casting Haste onto Yuffie and it worked, although I still have not completed the challenge because it’s very difficult to get off wards because Aerith is so slow.
I set Arcane Ward to triangle, and set the maxed out Auto-Unique Ability, yet Aerith still doesn’t teleport to the ward in battle. Am I doing something wrong? Also, Cloud’s MP always dwindles fast even though everything is set up like your example. I’m so confused.
@@petochin01 I have mp absorb on cloud so he doesn't run out. Also with aerith are you making sure the arcane ward is placed on the field? It has to be casted
@@BltzZ I also have mp on cloud linked like such in the video. Yes, I cast it in the same order you do. But no matter what I try, she doesn’t teleport to the damned thing.
@@petochin01 so the only thing left to ask. Are you casting magic from aerith while not controlling her? She won't teleport if you have her selected. You have to be on either cloud or yuffie and select magic with aerith in the menu to make her teleport.

Damn, this is a great strategy and setup. Looks like it bullies Sephiroth (and all the bosses) even harder than any other strats I've seen.

Gotta say this was the best tweak to the Yuffie brumal build for the Rulers challenge, beat it on my second try using this. Great work, thank you 🙏🏻

Doesn't work. In order for this to work, Yuffie needs to survive at least one attack. Odin kills her in one hit every attempt. Not real.

It took me several tries but I did it in 2:43! The last 2 rounds were definitely the hardest. Gilgamesh would randomly aggro Yuffie with whirlwinds and frog, that's instant fail.
Any tips on Sephiroth if you fail to dodge the initial triple slash? It sucks to fail essentially immediately if that happens.

My party is Cloud Red and Yuffie id love to be able to do this fight with that team, got the genji and all necessary matéria mastered already

One thing with the Hermes shoes, you have to watch your 2nd ATB bar and make sure your haste don’t run out otherwise you’re screwed without a Time materia. With Speed Demon Keychain, Yuffie have to be hasted which is an extra step, but your bar stays at 2 ATB.
Gilgamesh is a make or break for my runs. Gotta anticipate his attacks and not be too hasty. Sephiroth is a pain too. Gotta get that -aga spell down before he Shadowy Chain someone. If Yuffie gets Chained, it’s over
This gets easily bypassed with ATB boost tbh and dodging enemy attacks
@@BltzZactually, the Fuma Shuriken would be better for this because it has the Weapon Ability ATB Recovery skill (requires max weapon level) which is the same effect as the Speed Demon Keychain - with this setup, no need to cast Haste with Hermes Shoes and Yuffie doesn’t lose ATB
@@rsud93I like your video on this too, but like many who were trying to complete this, don’t have level 9 weapons. Did all side quests on hard and Yuffie’s is about level 8 1/2
Yeah with this video I was at level 9 I believe. It's full proof and works phenomenal without dedicating too much time to unlocking

My magic attack is 507 on cloud. Aerith gets up to 560ish with plumose. Tifa has the second best magic stat in the game when using attack magic attack swap because with the Kaiser knuckles she has like 530 w/weapon level 9 but yeah since this is rulers nobody's going to be level 9 unless they're revenge running (me lol)

The next one I want to see is Zach versus bonds of friendship solo with tips please he is amazing as a character and he's really powerful but he's difficult to use even with practice Didn't know you were back cool. I wanna rip ROTOW in a revenge run.

i do feel, that in this game, our char can't do 'miss' on enemy's attack.. instead we just always being able to block to 'immune' stats..

Thanks for this guide, I still get hit hard and there is no way to heal my teamates, and cloud constantly runs out of the arcane ward which makes it more dificult to do damage\,
Blitz this build is crazy! Can get to sephiroth in 3 minutes but can't get past seph. I can get him to about half health then I die. Is it just bad luck? I can't keep cloud and/or aerith away from him and one keeps getting locked. Will keep at it though! ☺️👍🏻
You got this dude, Sephiroth is all about delaying the magic between cloud and aerith and keeping him pinned down from one or the other. then ATB boost with yuffie to keep atb flowing. You are close

I am stuck at heilion's atonement got to round 10 and got f ked up by tonberry king and joker currently maxing out my meteria i only need 1 dark matter to unlock the crafting recipes for the genji equipment but for the love of God I can't find it anywhere 😢😢
Hay Bltz, How long do you think it will be before they bring Rebirth to PC, I have been wanting to play this title for awhile now, And from what I heard it wasn't going to be as long as it was for remake, however, I'm hearing conflicting stories now saying it wont be till the end of 2025 or even early 2026, what a bummer if true😒😒

The 50th anniversary or sometime between now and never is my guess.

Just curious but does magnify change the damage or mp consumption on the Thunderaga and Firaga?
Lowers the damage at the highest level by -25%. But you can erase that from happening by using Magic Focus materia and pair it with the same materia thats paired to the magnify.
@@BltzZ Ah! Great, I finally did it within an hour. Turned off magnify during the fights with Gil and Seph but also played on the console and not my portal… I think there was a delay and it kept getting the best of me…. Or I’m just getting older.
Could you not technically cast faith as Yuffies first action? Sometimes, other than throwing her shruiken out, shes just waiting for Aerith to cast ATB ward.😊

this got me to gilgamesh twice and sephy once but now i’ve tried for the 100th time and i can’t get past odin and alex what am i doing wrong ive done it so many times i know the setup now but still its not going well!

Dude idk what it is I've been at it for so long at first I got walled at Gilgamesh with my build I finished the game with and after looking up guides I consistently get to sphi without much trouble at all and I'm just getting shadowchained right after the first combo every time I don't understand cloud gets 2 atb and is just insta shadochained before thundaga fires off then aerith hits 2 then she's shadochained and it's back to the beginning I just don't understand why and on all the runs I see it's not happening to anyone else but I'm absolutely losing my mind over this

So you dont show any of the instakill moves the enemy does? 10 seconds into seph fight and he insta paralyzes my entire team and kills them at once. You dont even mention this?
Beat him just few hours ago for the first time. I think it is pure RNG bull*t ... if you are quick enough you can start showering him with Firaga / Thundaga before he can land a single Shadow Chain (in my case he blocked Cloud but i was already spamming Brumal Form / Firaga so he couldn't block the others).
Once he is down the 'bout half HP he loses the shadow chain move and blocked pc's are released.
I’m worried the Brumal Form method has been patched because it I can’t spam it any more, I run out of ATB instead of it being essentially infinite like in this video.
There hasn't been any updates as of recent. Do you have the right accessories and weapon on yuffie with the same attachments as me?
@@BltzZ I did. For me the Haste granted by Hermes shoes was not granting enough ATB. So I tried directly casting Haste onto Yuffie and it worked, although I still have not completed the challenge because it’s very difficult to get off wards because Aerith is so slow.
Can you do bonds of friendship
I set Arcane Ward to triangle, and set the maxed out Auto-Unique Ability, yet Aerith still doesn’t teleport to the ward in battle. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, Cloud’s MP always dwindles fast even though everything is set up like your example. I’m so confused.
@@petochin01 I have mp absorb on cloud so he doesn't run out. Also with aerith are you making sure the arcane ward is placed on the field? It has to be casted
@@BltzZ I also have mp on cloud linked like such in the video. Yes, I cast it in the same order you do. But no matter what I try, she doesn’t teleport to the damned thing.
@@petochin01 auto unique ability materia only has 1 level. Are you sure you're not using auto weapon ability materia by accident?

@@petochin01 so the only thing left to ask. Are you casting magic from aerith while not controlling her? She won't teleport if you have her selected. You have to be on either cloud or yuffie and select magic with aerith in the menu to make her teleport.
I wanna watch this blitz after I do it myslef, I don’t wanna cheat 😂 and see everyone’s methods I wanna do it mysled first then look at other ways 😅😅😅

@@bellkins pretty much. The best thing is to focus with yuffie dodging away and shortcut control cloud and aerith so he doesn't target them
