This video introduces 2 workable partition recovery solutions on how to recover deleted or lost partition data step by step.
Solution 1: Using "CHKDSK"
1. Pressing down the windows key while you press "X" on your keyboard, and then select "Disk Management" from the menu that pops up.
2. After the tool opens up, do a right-click on the drive with the lost partition and navigate to its properties.
3. Check the affected disk for errors or optimize the disk fragmentation by navigating to the “Tools” tab at the top of the properties menu.
And let's go a little bit more advanced.
1. Click the Windows icon or hit the Windows key to launch windows start menu and type “cmd” into the search bar
2. Right-click on “cmd.exe” and run the program as administrator
3. Type chkdsk followed by the letter of the drive, a colon and “/r” or “/f” e.g. chkdsk D: /r. /f fixes errors on the drive while /r locates and fixes bad sectors on the drive.
4. Hit the Enter key. Press letter Y on your keyboard if the program asks for further permission. Type "Yes" if prompted for approval during the process.
Here's the full command list. /r and /f arguments should do. The argument is entered after the chkdsk keyword.
Solution 2: Recover Lost Partition Data with Recoverit Data Recovery
Step 1: Select the lost partition disk
Step 2: Click "Start" to scan the disk to discover lost data on the partitions
Step 3: Preview and save lost data from the deleted partition

the deleted partition is not showing in cmd prompt also it says cannot direct access. but the partition still un-touch in disk management.

btw ... in chkdisk you cannot specify partition letter if it is a lost partition ...
The first thing I did was panic!
And why? Because there are pictures of children and life for me. For the past 10 years we have been on HDD. Sad because it’s so, virtually, not in the album on the shelf.

@@molotov6960 well... I think that I have found a way to solve this problem. First you need to have a disk with a bigger size that the disk you lost (your pc storage will do if it's big enough). Then you create an unidentified space or so(because I don't remember the right terminology), then you download a program like partition master. By checking the previous versions of the disk you lost and replacing the unidentified space with that version you will regain your partition (then you move the space you borrowed to its original place. I don't know if you understood what I was saying because I'm bad at giving explanations but there are videos that can help you(you just have to type the right key words).

doesnt recover the partition unless you smoking something and believe partition recovery is file recovery. partition recovery should mean just rewriting partition table
if you have removed the partition, you cant scan it in chkdsk as there is no drive letter allocated to it...... your just treying to sell your software here.

Yesterday i used easeUS data recovery and selected my drive and let it scan and it found all of my files on my drive that i couldnt open and said that it needed to be formatted. I saved the recovery file on my desktop because it asked me to pay €60 to recover the files or enter a license code.
Then i went to sleep and today i wanted to reopen the file again but now it says scan session might be corrupted. And the drive doesnt show up anywhere anymore only in my device management it shows the drive. In disk management it says that the disk isnt initialised. Please i need help because it had 100 gb of important files on it.

Let me tell you what causes a partition to get lost:
You find a file that seems to be corrupted on your HDD. So you go to your HDD tools and run a simple "check". And then your HDD becomes RAW because Windows just deleted your partition because of that one single error.
Basically Windows tells you to get FUCKED!
Now you have to get some recovery software, a free HDD as big as the one that is wrecked and a free night to try to transfer those lost files to the new HDD.
Chkdsk is NOT going to help you!

When you go to disk management and its says unallocated or if you can no longer find the drive capacity in your file explorer
So I reformatted my drive due to poor instruction after changing my user file name in my c drive, this then entirely wiped my D drive, i tried every single software at this point besides recuva and all of them are insanely overpriced, what else can I do?
For context, this drive is highly important, it contains many many many project files for the games I am creating and game studios I work for... I can't get paid if I lose them...
Hi there, thank you for your question! Unfortunately all i can recommend is trying data recovery software such as Recoverit or try to find a trail version to see if you can retrieve your files I would also always recommend creating a backup of your files in future incase issues like this occur.

Go to disk management. Rigth click volume or disc that lost. Then click drive letter and paths to any letter you want. Thats it. Lost partition will appear on your computer again. Hope it works to you all.

my Drobo Pro lost a partition during a shutdown and move to another room. I'm up a creek with nowhere to go now, and I don't have $80 for this software. and even know the drive shows up in my disk mang. it doesn't have a drive letter, and right clicking there isn't any tools options so everything in this video is pointless and everything else I can find is MAC centric and that's a whole other issue. so panic is all I have. as I had the only surviving footage of my dad in there. well if I can't get this partition back, I'll have no footage of my late father left.

I wanted to do that thing to make only 1 out of 2 partitions, I wanted to save from F to D, I did that, then I said to delete what I don't need and by mistake I also deleted partition D (I have no idea how) then, being stupid, I continued that process of making 2 partitions into 1, I did, but I lost absolutely everything...😭😭

Sir, I have 1TB solid storage drive
(SSD) are 4 partition but GPT styles. MBR sytle Windows 10 are not supported. So I can do convert C: drive GPT to MBR sytle by diskpart cmd command. Then my hard drive partition are marge & full drive formated after install Windows 10. Now what can I recover my lost all data. Now what can I do free recovery all data & partition. Please tell me.

Hi there, thank you for your question! Stop using the affected hard drive immediately. Any further writes to the drive could overwrite the data you want to recover. Then I would recommend trying to use Recoverit to potentially recover your data.

Hi there, thank you for your question! I would recommend trying to update/reinstall your graphics drivers. I would also suggest trying to format the drive but this will erase all data on the drive.
