Safety, Safety, Safety are the 3 keys to drag racing like location, location, location are the keys to real estate! I absolutely love working on my cars, driving them, racing them, but I don't ever want to compromise on safety, as I love coming home to my wife and kids more than anything to do with my cars. I love the driver very much! Me! I also love the other drivers and cars so I will never knowingly compromise on safety. At the end of the day, that is true for 99.9% of racers for sure, but it is so easy, in the moment, to just think you or I will come back and "fix that one later". Look at the crash in this video, what if the car would have went right vs left, right into the dragster??
Great point. The rag joint was around 4 seasons old, but the front suspension wheel stands definitely put a beating on it. Go fast, go straight! Be SAFE!!
jocrp6 thanks so much for your question! I generally shoot for more than 5 degrees positive caster in my door cars, but not much over 7 degrees. th-cam.com/video/G8CGguZWpb4/w-d-xo.html Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!

Andy Jones thanks so much for your comments! It is all about the safety part of the equation for sure. Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!

Was that a 50 yr old rag joint? Was the crash the fail of a rag joint or missed maintenance?
