How to remove the primary clutch from a Polaris Ranger or RZR
This method does not apply to a XP 1000 Ranger or Ranger 1000, the method is close and requires a different puller we do not make but sell another brand.

I just had some experience with what you said about putting a handle through the primary and loosening your spidernut, only I didn't realize I loosened it. Do mostly trail/mountain riding so I guess that's why I didn't notice a loss in top speed or really anything until my daughter was stuck down the road because it wouldn't move. When I got it home and took the cover off, I realized everything had come loose. The spider nut wasn't even threaded on at all. I couldn't figure out why it came loose but the only time I had the primary off, which wasn't long ago, I used a wooden handle through the middle so I could get 96ft/lbs. I'm pretty good at finding out what not to do lol
