    This video is to answer several FAQs.

      @@oleksiychekin6756 The guy in the video meant exactly what he said. He expressed his respect for their size, strength and ability to hurt him if they wanted to. You speak from of a position of inexperience. If you were ever face to face with one of these creatures and they didn't hurt you, you'd also feel the privilege that the man in the video is talking about.

    • @oleksiychekin6756
      @oleksiychekin6756 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EckBawkLive As for respect, we need to respect all living creatures, regardless of their size, strength and the presence / absence of their ability to harm us. Anyway, size of the animals is not make them more important then your parents, your family, your friends. I think its always better to spend you time on your important peoples or self education. At least then compared with "privileges to play for elephants".....
      Of course, maybe what I write for someone looks strange. And they either dont have (or not care about) these important people or they have so much free time that there is enough time even for entertaining elephants.
      I can only understand people who treat these animals or for example help them with food in case of any problems, such as with fires in Australia. This is really great people. Moreover, most of the peoples not care about making videos for TH-cam that show their help. They not waste time on making such videos, they spend the time on the help.

      @amed9476 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@oleksiychekin6756 I disagree, honestly. Sorry it’s long, I tried to bold the main points 😊
      → I believe his wife lives in Thailand, so it's not like he isn't spending time with family.
      → *Barton has been playing the piano for elephants for almost a decade now;* it doesn't seem at all like he's doing it just to gain subscribers rather as a way to join two interests in his life; elephants/animals and music.
      *→ Making a video where you're supporting a cause often is to help raise awareness which means more people are likely to help. Documenting a good deed doesn't tarnish the deed at all.*
      → You could consider this a hobby and *people need hobbies* for the sake of their own health and wellbeing. Many people play video games or whatever else which is fine, but you have to admit, playing music for animals seems a lot more productive. In any case, why should it be wrong for someone to spend some time in their life doing what they enjoy?
      → "Helping" doesn't have to be just reserved for people, it can also be helping animals, and that doesn't have to be restricted to giving them food or water alone. *Elephants are emotional animals and respond to music, they like it and like making music themselves, according to studies. He is playing for elephants many of which have been abused or mishandled* or are now suffering from ailments such as blindness. Like humans, animals have needs which extend beyond “food and water”; emotional needs are also important to consider.
      *→ You can spend time helping animals and still have time to help humans. It’s not like you have to choose either or.*
      → To be in the position to be near an elephant, given their sheer size, nature and intelligence, is definitely something to feel blessed about. To be in the position to play wonderful music for them and actually have them pay attention, even more so. It's not the same as playing for a cat, for example; they generally could care less. *Playing music for an animal, especially when you’re as talented as Barton is, and having them benefit from it (increased happiness, emotional wellness, raising awarness of their plights, etc) is definitely a privilege.*

Perhaps Paul has some experience to share on this ? just wondering... Regards and keep on the nice job

    I want to thank you for what you do. My father would play classical music when we were young, Beethoven and Mozart were our favorite. I showed my Dad your video playing to the blind elephant and we were both in tears. Your videos are beautiful, inspiring and heartfelt. Thank you for a new video to share with my Dad. 🐕🐾

    This is an amazing recognition of how music can bridge the gap. To lay down and doze to the piano? It must be healing, thanks to the "masters" and Paul's intuition. My favorite moment is a video where a momma and baby enjoy music together. It might be interesting to see if baby elephants respond to classical children's pieces such as Children's Corner or Carnival of the Animals. Would baby enjoy Baby Elephant Walk?
