I just got this tablet for my 13 yr old daughter. I was torn between the 16 2.5k and the 24 4k, but after watching your review and seeing the improved ergonomics/drawing space, it made the choice easy. My kid is a huge fan of anime and manga and has been drawing on an iPad for the last two years with Procreate, so this 24" drawing tablet is a huge step up! It was definitely worth it to get the larger size and, as an added bonus, my daughter has found a new manga artist to follow! :) Your art is stunning btw.
i am so happy for your child! let me tell my story. when i was 13 my parents forbid me drawing, because it could distract me from studying. i still was drawing sometimes and they kinda got softer on the restriction rule. i was drawing with pencils, but it always was my dream to be able to draw digitally. it was in 2000s so we didnt have choice of tech and it was incredibly expensive. they told me i could buy a tablet after finishing university and then continue drawing, but my spark dulled over time. i had a basic screenless tablet as a gift from my ex, but the hard-to-press pen and trauma from parents restricted me from experiencing much. a year ago my husband bought me a screen huion tablet (pro 13 (2.5k), and since then it was my main time occupation and i can feel like following childhood dreams once again! i really hope your daughter is having fun with the tablet, and i am incredibly happy for her!
What an amazing drawing, I must say the way you incorporated the texture in the Jean jacket was flawless! Not too much but not too little. You are by far my favourite illustrator
Huion and XP pen have caught up to Wacom and make affordable displays that are cheaper and competitively priced. I remember when Wacom was the monopoly and there were barely any competition in the market. Goes to show you that competition not only drives for better improvement but also better products and more affordible products
Perfect review. You answered for all my concerns (if Huion is loud - fan noise and if it’s get hot during working) I was wandered if I should buy Wacom 24 or Huion 24 4k but now I’m certain I go for Huion.
Really missed seeing your drawings/speedpaints ~🌼 And also thank for the review I was recently in need of a graphic tablet and huion was sitting on my mind for a while .. So it was helpful
I have a Cintiq Pro 16 (2016 edition) and I love it. It does get hot but I don't have many other complaints other than a driver glitch every once in awhile. I wanted more screen area so my Kamvas 24 Pro is coming this week and I'm very excited. My setup is my workstation laptop with 2 monitors hooked up to it. It easily recognized my cintiq pro when I plugged it into my usb-c port so I have the laptop screen, 2 monitors and cintiq screen. I am hoping and praying that the huion drivers can handle this same setup.
I have the same tablet set up on a monitor arm and love it as well. Agree, that the drivers need some tweaking when dealing with displays. Mine, will default the active surface to the non-tablet monitor whenever the system goes to sleep and not go back to the Kamvas automatically when things wake up.
Review aside, you did a great job on this painting! It has everything going for it. Texture, blending, artistic, yet fun! Nice work. Your'e a pro. The landscape in the background is priceless!
I had a Huion kamvas 22 (2019) and to be honest, I had a lot of problems since the start, and about two months ago I was seriously debating between this huion and the Cintiq pro 24. I almost got this one but in the end, I went for the Wacom. The reason is that I didn't want to deal with Huions messy drivers once again. So during my research from tech specs, from Reddit, and different other sources I found out that this Huion was branded as 4k, 10bit color display but is not, looks like in order to have that color gamut the tablet is looked at 30hz so you cant have 4k at 10bit and 60hz. The other issue was that people were reporting different problems with drivers. The only known issue I found about the Cintiq pro 24 is that it was having a loud fan noise problem supposedly as loud as a vacuum and apparently Wacom released a fix for that to download, and now days looks like it is completely fixed and my guess is that they change the hardware somehow in the new models, the current model is the DTK2420K0. I haven't experienced any problem with my Cintiq so far. This video just reinforces the decision I took. Sometimes you need to pay more not for luxury but for security and comfort.
Very valuable experience. I'm in trouble. I'm not sure how to choose between Wacom Cintiq 3221 and Huion Kamvas Pro 24(4K). The price of Huion seems very attractive. By the way, 4k resolution that only at 30Hz is a big problem.
@@nadiawu1125 Yeah, it is very attractive. I even had that Huion in my car ready to check out but then I remember my previous experience with Huion and the reason why I was changing screen tablet and I decided to just go for the Cintiq. Now that I have both perspectives I don't see myself going back to Huion. And Wacom has different third-party financing options to get the tablet.
Interesting that 30Hz is a big down side honestly, i rather 10 bit color at 4K 60Hz via DP, plus Wacom offers 3 years warranty agaisnt 1 year of Huion. My only question is that a crystal screen protector needed or the screen of those display doesn't scratch by the time?. Regards.
Is your Huion 22 colour accurate enough for printing?I suppose Huion's price difference from Wacom comes from cutting corners in panel quality and capability.
We should be thankful, not to any single company, but to all those who were willing to give a chance to companies other than Wacom and bought their Wacom imitations. Huion, XP-Pen, and all those seedy Chinese companies... their existence forced Wacom's top executives to stop prioritizing unrealistic profit growth, and instead focused on cheaper product lines that still provide the very basic usability to try to maintain customer base that otherwise would have been snapped away by the Chinese. Competition is good for us as consumers.

it should be noted that a DisplayPort/DP (1.2+) connector has two-way like USB-C 3.1 and newer; which is why it only needs one cable for that connection. (If the USB Port says SS10 for instance, it should have DP compatibility via USB-C.)
Great review! I wanted to ask two things: How's the parallax? Have you tested aftermarket cables that are longer and noticed any screen tearing or flickering?

I had the 22plus before getting the 4k one and the 22 plus didn't have the grainy effect. I honestly don't know why they add that, it makes the screen look terrible and I don't notice any extra texture from it. A trick to reduce the look of the grain is putting a Bellmond matte screen protector for 12.9 ipad pro in the area you draw. It blurs the grainy rainbow effect and adds a lot of texture. The cords drive me nuts because they are short and on the top bending at a weird angle. They seem like they will break because of it. Other than that it's really a great tablet. I personally can't get used to the grainy effect and need to use screen protectors which is annoying. Maybe one day they will get rid of that.
I love your painting! The canvas texture on the shirt/jacket is a great stand-in for denim. My current tablet is a Cintiq, which I use with the "Flex" nibs. Do you know if Huion offers anything similar?

If you are considering getting something to help you draw, consider these terms and options: Pen Tablet/Drawing Tablet = A small pad that you can draw on, that needs to be connected to a phone, Computer Tablet, or Computer. This does not have a screen. Just a drawing surface. Cheap. Small. Easy to carry. Does not come with software, other than drivers needed to make sure it works with your main device. Pen Monitor/Drawing Monitor (like in the video) = A screen that lets you use a pen to draw on it. Needs to be connected to a Main device (usually a computer or laptop). When not used for drawing, can be used like a normal computer monitor/screen. More expensive, but usually hovers around the $300-800 range depending on size, resolution, and features like touch sensitivity. Pen Computer/Drawing Computer = All in one. Its a computer (so you can use it for gaming, browsing the internet, etc), but the screen is built in. Basically a very big, very fancy computer tablet (think Ipad). EXPENSIVE (we're talking at least $2,000) A lot of confusion comes from people still using "tablet" to describe everything because there was a fairly long time where screen-less drawing tablets were the only thing on the market, and drawing monitors were just... "cintiq"s. But when it comes to drawing devices ...Tablet =/= tablets like most people think of, they are not small handheld tablets like the Kindle, Ipad, etc. ________ In short, if you bought what was in the video, you'll need to have another computer ready to connect it to. Oh these are very old so I don't remember where I bought them but they are sennheiser hd598 headphones. They are comfy and sound good which is why I got them but I don't really like the look of them anymore
Are Kamvas Pro 24 (4K) fans noisy? I own Cintiq Pro 24 and it's very noisy, so I was wondering how they compare.
Does it have touch
Thank u

Nothing comes even close to a wacom product.... the difference between any Huion and any Wacom is abyssal

Why would anyone take a paid review seriously? Lol
Marry me
Bruh you came back just to make an ad for huion, pretty sad
It's pretty sad that they aren't allowed to post what they want when they want, and some loser on the internet has to complain about it. 😂
@@eddie3140 ?? Loser about what ? she is doing just an ad
It's a good review for those of us considering getting it and there's a neat speedpaint attached to it 👀
Sunako asked for video suggestions. If you’re upset that a TH-camr isn’t tailoring to the needs of a single viewer who doesn’t even state what they want to see it’s ironic to see you grumbling
@@ibrahim0167 are artists not allowed to do reviews of tools?
Nice ❤❤❤
What an amazing drawing, I must say the way you incorporated the texture in the Jean jacket was flawless! Not too much but not too little. You are by far my favourite illustrator
