Thank you for finally showing direct comparisons between the three. Reading reviews generally leave me feeling the Wacom/Huion/XP-Pen thing is like Chevy/Ford/Dodge, one step from religion.
Wacom set the price because loong time was only one and almost first who did this and with good quallity, but they dont want to go low on price to keep they brand price. And most of all artist use their tablets like even disney.
What a wonderful video. This type of direct side-by-side comparison helps a lot when choosing. Would be incredible a video like this for 16-inch pen displays: Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 x Huion Kanvas Pro 16 x XP-Pen Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2).
I tried Huion but I had to return it. Wanted to it work but sadly had a horrible experience as the tablet would not read my Mac. However I got the XP which I teach on at my school and I have to say that if your looking for a pro tablet on a budget I would go with XP. They are reliable and consistent
+1 here. I'm also a professor at an art school. I went with XP-Pen for their rock solid drivers (driver issues 5mins before class? No thanks). I expected compromise at such a low price point but there simply haven't been any. They're the real deal for sure. Same experience with my first XP-Pen device. Built well, great drivers, reliable all around 👍
I had an XP-Pen 22" (2nd Gen) that crapped out and quit after only 2 years of use... just a couple of months after the warranty went out. All XP-Pen would do is offer a bit of a discount on something else. So... just know some of their stuff isn't very reliable.
Nice video! About 4k. It CAN be good but on a 24 inch screen it can cause issues with the size of panels or text. 1440 is probably the sweet spot for now. And 4k is good if it is a 32 inch screen.
Not on a mac. PS makes the panels and text normal, but the working area is a perfect 1:1. Windows scaling is still a decade behind. I am using my 5K monitor at default (27") so the panels are the same as a 1440p monitor (perfect) but the drawing area is 5K (perfect).
@@77dris Windows scaling works just fine. The UI elements are scaled but not the canvas in most drawing apps I've tried, so it's basically the same as what you describe on Mac.
I lost faith in huion when i needed to buy replacement styluses for the first kamvas pro and found their no longer making them which is bad support for a product thats only 3 years old...so i got myself the cintiq 22 which looks awesome and works way better...i dont see myself needing a 4k version since ive been accostomed to using hd for the last few years...but if i had to go 4k i wouldnt bother with huion ill just invest in a long term investment of a wacom...even if its a lot more...but the 22 is a great cintiq Ive had zero complaints....and i can use my old styluses from my old intuos tablets on it...but my old kanvas pro once them styluses are done and gone it will be nothing more than an expensive hd monitor...and its that very fact that ill never buy a huion again no matter how good they get...ive lost trust in the company...
hahah I had a UGEE tablet and the company just disappeared.. its unfortunate but yeah I decided to go back to Wacom to see if their 24 pro is as good as people say it is and I do trust their products just dont like their prices.
I think support is important to consider. My 4 year old Xp-pen has driver issues but xp-pen has said they are not going to do anything about it. I paid less but here I am needing a new tablet. No regrets tho when I got it I wasn’t sure I needed one at all. Now it’s an essential tool. This review definitely makes it look like a more even playing field but I’m leaning cintiq just because I expect in 4 years they’ll still be there.
I run an animation studio, wacom support is the worst of all the other brands out there, we've purchased dozens of cintiqs, and almost all of them died within 2 years, half of them barely made it 6 months in, wacom only honored the warranty on a couple even knowing it was build problems and wacom cheaping out on the internals that was generating the issues, warranty Replaced them with new units that failed in a couple of months so the only way to keep them operational was to constantly mash toghether the working components or importing generic parts and modding them... The 120 units of mixed , bosto, xp pen and huions we got roughly at the same time are still going strong and i'd say 90% have never been serviced or repaired, having outlived 2 different wacom batches thats easily costed 3X as much. wacom is great, WHEN IT WORKS! and my case is not that rare, just look up the 24 model it has complete third party kits to replace the wacom cheap build parts, replacement panels, power button, power board, ports and power bricks. even in warranty they wanted to charge for repairs, like 900 usd for a panel replacement, 300 for the power board, 250 for the power brick... we just ended up fixing it ourselves with imported parts, but still added extra cost to almost all of the already pricey units. with the new generation of huions i see no need for ever buying a wacom. even if we replace every huion once its still a better deal, we are already in the process of replacing the couple of slowly dying wacoms that remain with the new 4k huions.
@@DanielRedgrave huion is going to have to really blow my mind with one of their products to get me to switch from my cintiq which ive got no intention on doing anytime soon...
I think existing owners, it gets to a point of diminishing returns. It’s not like your pen will stop working. The biggest improvement I think is parallax and pen accuracy. If you are good with that on a current device, it makes no sense to upgrade. Now these are 24” displays so there is an increase in resolution which is an obvious benefit. In regards to xp-pen and Huion. They have made huge advancements in the last couple of years. Wacom has too so if you were comparing the older Wacom 22hd to a new Huion, that Huion is going to have a lot less parallax. So if we see a Cintiq vs. argument, it really depends on which Cintiq. Then of course, if that working for you, I agree there is no reason to upgrade.
I would like a comparison test between Kamvas 24 Pro and their new Kamvas 24 4K. This latter tablet is still cheaper than Wacom's offering, so I am interested more in the responsiveness between it and the Kamvas Pro.
!!! YEEEES!!! FINALLY, PADS WITH VIDEO INPUTS INSTEAD OF TYPE C HELL!!! Thank you. I have Mini Displayport so I'll get a Mini Displayport to full Displayport cable and get the Huion. Windows 7/8.1 saved by the high end.
Hello from the future, I own a WACOM Cintiq 21 UX and it’s time to look for an updated device. Your review helped me to see what features are import and which model would give me the most value for my budget. Thank you.
I am not a professional artist. In fact I just want to jump into it for my drawing and animations works. just confused now cos the info here just blew my mind away. Nice video. great!!!
Huion Kamvas 13 pro , is asome, i have one, and don't see nothing of parallax (sorry english is not my language) curiously the other tablets that not have parallax are the 21 and 24" versions
I like this comparison! Do the same with the 22" tablets. The $1200 wacom 22? I have the Huion Kamvas 22 Plus and it is awesome, I do have a wacom Intuos Pro that gives you the pro pen 2, both pens feel very similar. Oh by the way, I do have the wacom remote, and the $35 XP pen remote, for some reason I like the XP pen remote that I use with my Huion.
Great review. I have a cintiq 21ux...the original one. But it no longer works with my new pc(windows 7 only) I went with a gaomon 16 inch, essentially a huion.... I am now looking at the new cintiqs. A decade of that kind of luxury and precision is hard to step back from.
Don't buy XP Pen if you use light strokes and quick strokes in your art. Light strokes have trouble registering and when you do quick strokes, the beginning of the line will always be lighter than the rest of the line unless you do the stroke slow. I felt like the initial activation pressure is too high.
I do, that’s why I disagree with the OP. The pen for the artist 16 is even better than the 24” model. So I’m saying, I don’t think you can just say xp-pen has trouble registering light strokes. It’s too general a statement.
9:00 slight correction. having USB-C on your computer may not be good enough. USB-C simply denotes the shape of the port. you must have a USB-C Thunderbolt port on your computer. Thunderbolt ports are capable of pushing video & data. most USB-C ports can only push data. they are not powerful enough to push video & data
Sort of, what I called out was that you would need an addition cable for power. In other words, none of these can be powered by usb-c whether they are thunderbolt or not. Usb-c (at least on these) only serves to eliminate one cable (data or video). Hope that makes sense.
Really useful, detailed info, exactly what I was looking for! Hate the music. It's like being stuck in a time loop on an elevator. On the good side, at least it's a good level relative to your voice.
The support at XP Pen is absolutely fantastic and comparable to Apple. They always respond to me within a couple of hours and go beyond helpful. But I use the German support so not sure how it is for other countries. The only issue I have is that the warranty is only 12 Months long. As a German I'm used to a minimum of 24 Months.
Id go ipad...i love working on art on my ipad...but for a pc art screen...i have a bias towards huion do to manufacturing choices but my experience when things were working optimally the huion wasnt a bad device I mad a lot of art on it.. but as i posted elsewhere my styluses are showing signs of giving out since they where the battery op type and i went with a wacom as a replacement cuz i know the support for the long term is more reliable with wacom than huion...plus wacom is more comapatable with their products where huion stuff seems to be a bit more reserved for the product it was designed for this isnt a bad thing at first but when stuff starts wearing out and needing replacement thats when this rears its ugly head...
@@rebelangel8227 I have the ipad and I love it as my portable drawing tablet. I hate the iOS and the inability to change my keyboard shortcut in Procreate but its still better than the experience I got with the other portable drawing tablets. Once CSP changes their stupid price model and do a one time purchase I will probably switch to it and stop whining about lack of customizable keyboard shortcuts. I would however never use it to replace PC as thats where I do 3D and my actual 2D work.
Very informative, thank you! I'm not sure if it was covered, but I use a wacom graphics tablet with Photoshop and Zbrush, will there be any kind of compatibility issue with Zbrush for example if I were to go with Huion over Wacom?
I'm using huion kamvas Pro 24 and huion kd200 at the same time. The latest V15 driver can support two devices at the same time, but it is not ideal to switch them manually. When I use Photoshop, Sai, krita and other software to draw, when I switch the device, there will be a bug, the specific performance is the lack of sense of pressure or unable to draw lines, which needs to restart the drawing software to solve. But when used in ZBrush, it can switch smoothly. Another common fault of huion driver is that when using ZBrush, when opening the new version of Photoshop, the pressure of ZBrush will be disturbed, the lines will become intermittent, and when closing Photoshop, it will return to normal. These two defects should be driver problems. I have contacted the technicians over there and I don't know if I can solve them. I use a translator.
My Wacom is cintiq 13hd … and quite small(hurt my eyes 👀 while working)…. I want buy bigger size but Wacom is quite expensive(when I bought it it’s was pretty cheap)… I want to know which one is better Xp pen or huion?? Please help me
Hey, Lulu~ I'm in the same exact predicament as you! I know it's been a year since you commented, so I was wondering what choice you've made and how it turned out for you?
ive been working in the board games / video games industry for almost 13 years now , Ive always used wacom tablets , but I'm not giving my money to them any more . They robbing us for a few improvements. Not this time wacom.
I am currently looking at the Huion 22" 1080p with etched glass and XP-Pen 24" 1440p with anti glare film Pro tablets. I dont want to regret buying an inerior piece of tech so i wonder if 1080p would be sufficient at 22" or if i should go for 1440p at 24" straight away. My last computer monitor before i started drawing was a 32" 1080P screen and in the last years i noticed more and more that blurryness was a thing but i got to say that was 32" vs 22". So now i wonder if a 22" 1080p drawing tab would be sufficient and how your experiences are with devices of these or siimilar specs. Also: Would the XP-Pen andti glare screen OK to use compare to the etched glass?
I'm curious on what you picked. Personally at least on monitors, 1440p is the sweet spot between 24"-27". Though I also have a 27" 4k monitor and admit I do see a difference. 32" monitor NEEDS 1440p MINIMUM, with 4k as the sweet spot.
I wish someone would be a “x years later” review. I’ve never had anything other than a tablet. But would love to know how these displays hold up. I’ve read a lot of the durability of Wacom displays lasting 8-10 or more years. What about Huion and XPen?
I had individual reviews of all 3 as well. I dont filter comments so I would think if any of them had reliability issues, the comments would blow up. From a brand perspective, both Huion and XPPen are much different companies than even 5-6 years ago. Now that they are all using EMR instead of battery pen garbage, I think your biggest risk is the LCD panel which is a risk in any display.
For sure but that price jump is steep. The point I hope I made was that the other brands aren’t less viable, just a little different. Wacom is a good option but it’s not the only option.
@@CreateNowSleepLater agreed! Wacom will ALWAYS be OP. The alternatives came to the market to hit a much needed audience. Artists, well, hobbyists/upcoming artists. Wacom was TOO steep a price for many people, but wacom charged a premium price for having the tech and a monopoly in the market. If Huion really wanted to, they could match that quality, but they have to take price adjustments. People are looking for Wacom quality at the alternative price point.. I will go for the Wacom products mostly, as I tried a Huion and the activation force is a bit much. My 13HD has better activation force. I'm going to wait for Wacom to release updated, or better iterations of their Cintiq 16 and Cintiq 22. Hopefully they'll add buttons or something lool.. If someone has NEVER uses a screen tablet and has no comparison.. Huion is literally the CLOSEST thing to Wacom for such a low price..
i wish they'd use a different aspect ratio. I know it's the default for TVs and monitors, but i don't know any paper/canvas in real life that's 16:9. They could at least give us a screen with an A4 shape.
Hello. Did you noticed difference in drawing feeling between Huion and Wacom? I mean does the Huion have the same screen feeling as Wacom. I mean structure of "glass" and feeling in touching pen tip to the glass? thanks
Yes but the initial activation force is different. Wacom feels like Wacom. Huion is a bit different on the light and hard ends.

Hi What about fan noise? I had to return my Cintiq because of that. Do the Huion and XP-Pen have the same problem? I hope not since they're only 2k. Thanks
No fan noise on either. I’m surprised about the fan noise. With mine, I have it on an arm and I keep the back off. I’ve never heard the fan and it gets super hot in here.
Thank you so much for this test. Few reviewers dive into the main aspect of any pen display, which is draw performance, line behavior, and so on. You did and in an expert and insightful way. Great job. And yes, the Cintiq is better, but boy, you gotta pay a hefty price for it. What about the fan issue with the Cintiq, BTW?
I do get a comment now and again about people complaining about the fan. I always ask themn if they turned the setting down to low in the driver. Its hot as hell in my room and my fans literally never come on so I don't know if its a YMMV thing.
@@CreateNowSleepLater My Cintiq pro 24's fans woke up just today from their hibernation when the room temperature reached 23 degrees Celsius. Two high rpm side fans were not spinning during the winter when it was 21 C inside. Only the always on middle fan was spinning during the winter but it's reasonably quiet, not silent but the sound it's bearable. The Cintiq will become totally unbearable to listen to as the summer approaches and all of the fans will be on almost all the time. And obviously I have set the fan speed to the low setting but it only affects the fan curve a little bit and keeps the side fans from spinning for 10 minutes after the display is turned on. My workspace is silent apart from the Cintiq (my pc is totally silent) and my hearing is still excellent so I don't know. Either it comes down to the ambient noise in your workspace or the hearing ability or how much noise you are able endure while working or maybe the Wacom quality control is just terrible.
@@CreateNowSleepLater Thanks for the reply, sir. I would like to pull the trigger on the 24 pro. The Huion 24 4k is quite interesting, but I gotta see it in person to make the call. Keep up the good work!
Your videos are amazing, thank you for sharing! Could you do a comparisson of the latest wacom 16 pro and the xp pen artist pro 16? Like, is it really worth paying that much for wacom?? I'm really intrigued by that new pen chip technology that xp pen is using now. Exciting times!! What do you think??
I reviewed the first version th-cam.com/video/MZAvtmejENc/w-d-xo.html The drawing experience is exactly the same. They tweaked the screen settings and removed the need for the Wacom Link so that is great. The same holds true for the Xp-pen pro. I reviewed the non 4K model and loved it. I dont feel like the drawing experience gap is what it once was. Some people though, if they have the money, prefer to go with the Cintiq. Thats why I stay neutral.
@@CreateNowSleepLater Thank you so much on your thoughts! The Wacom I feel it still has the premium feel to it, and obviously the 4k resolution, but quite honestly I'm more concerned on the pen response. I come from traditional mediums and the lag has always been brutal to me. The price is also super important to me. This Xp Pen checks out all the boxes for me. I really appreciate your answer, thank you!!
I actually don’t have it anymore. This review game is hard. With all the new tax stuff it’s really hard to resell to buy new stuff. I’ll be doing additional content soon to try and round it out. I really like xppens pressure curve. I wound up keeping the Cintiq because I would have taken a beating reselling it.
Great video and it sure helps me on selecting a tablet. I plan on buying one very soon after I compare them a bit more. Who knows, I just might buy all 3 of them!
I'm not an expert I don't use tablets nor i will but I'm buying one as a gift is the XP 24 better or an Ipad for someone who'd use it with Adobe on windows ?
@@CreateNowSleepLater I have the money to buy the cintiq. Question is for her going to college primarily drawing 2D, is the extra 1200 worth it? Or will the ExPen pro do the job? Been reading it has display issues and customer service sucks
The way I usually go about recommendations is usual budget first. The gap between the pen experience is no what it once was. When you are talking about other things, sone folks will have buyers remorse if they think they settled. Any of the three will do the job but if money is no object, go with the Cintiq. $1,200 is a lot so worth it subjective. You can’t do any better than that though.
@@CreateNowSleepLater thank a bunch. I always tell people to buy your second purchase first. I'm sure I would have buyers remorse if I didn't buy my soon be adult child the better one.
Does huion have the problem where the black isn't deep black? Because when I compared my huion 24" Pro with my apple devices the blacks aren't that deep. I sold that tablet and planning to buy a new one.
I’m not sure that is a 1:1 comparison. I don’t think Apple publishes their color gamut but none of these are problematic. I’d think if they were, these comments would be filled with complaints. When you say Apple, you mean iPad or something else?
@@CreateNowSleepLater Hey there! Thank you for responding. I have an Ipad, Iphone and a Macbook Air and I use them side by side to check the colors. I do notice a little bit of foggy look. Like the blacks aren't as deep as the apple ones or my asus monitor. I checked the huion 4k series and I saw that they had specified that it has deeper blacks and whiter whites. I'm looking into that atm. Thank you so much for this review! It helped a lot!
I'm used to the Cintiq pro brand. I think they're gonna get this money again. Sigh. FYI: I'll be the one selling art at the offramp, with bright red lipstick & welcoming tips😂😂😂
Are they all made from the same materials? I have a problem with using macs, for example, due to an allergy to some metal in the alloy of the chasis. I prefer quality plastic anyway and was curious about this.
I really couldn’t answer that. Where safety is involved, I’d probably check with the mfg but I’m not sure if they would know that. Especially if you don’t know the metal. There is likely metal around the lcd just to mount it inside the casing but that’s just a guess.
@@CreateNowSleepLater I mean is the general chasis made from metal or plastic? You know how like some laptops (like mac) are all metal, while others are all plastic? I think the Huion is supposed to be metal on the back yeah? But I couldn't find an answer about the xp-pen on that.
So they are all decent? Because I was wondering if the feel of pen on the screen feels different with cintiqs. (I don't know what I'm thinking ... Maybe that the wacom has a more quality drawing feel since they've been known as the best) But is there really not that much of a difference?
It’s a very subjective thing. There are nuances sure but some people see them as slight while other people go crazy. Wacom has the most mature pen but you can see from the tests that the other 2 are more than capable. Things like pressure curve can be adjusted. Initial activation is probably in Wacoms favor on the light end but these aren’t world changing, unless they are to you. There is a cost to that though so it’s really up to the buyer. Are those things worth X= amount of money? To some. To some they don’t see the value in spending that much more. I think it depends on what your art is as well.
What I really want to know is does the Huion Kamvas Pro 24 4k produce as good lines - when drawing very lightly and slowly - as does the Wacom Cintiq 24 Pro? Line sensitivity and variety is very important to me.
There are varying degrees of value when it comes to buying something like this. For example, if the Huion gets you 90% of the same functionality, would you get the Huion? The point I made in the video is that is really the question. All 3 make great pen displays now but Wacom is still going to be the most refined. That said, they aren’t the same price so that’s really the question. If you have unlimited funds, get the Cintiq. The others as I showed are really good. If you chose either, I wouldn’t feel like there is sone large gap. It’s a very subjective thing.
@@CreateNowSleepLater Thank-you for your prompt reply! If Huion produces fine and sensitive lines at 90% the quality of the Wacom then that is fair enough as I don't have overflowing funds. Happy Christmas!
I’d say they are in the same area more or less. The initial activation force is slightly different between all 3 with Wacom still taking the lead. In either case, if you never had a pen display, it doesn’t matter. All 3 are great devices.
They did..but they partnered with Dell for it and called it the Dell Canvas. It had the Wacom 27" screen but a custom dell pen. Touch and this totem thing that runs like the surface dial. I foolishly purchased one. Worst purchase ever. It's a great device but Dell is Dell and has completely dropped ALL SUPPORT for it. Sure you can get 4 year old drivers that still work. But you can't get nibs, you can't get replacement pens. because DELL considers them "consumables" My pen died 6 months before my warranty expired DELL would not replace it nor could they even sell me a replacement so I have a REALLY expensive Touchscreen monitor now. It was cool while it lasted though, Mini DP, Mini HDMI, USB-C (Data + Video+ Sound) In and 2 USB + 1USB-C and headphone out. It was much better equipped, thinner and overall a bit of a step up over the original Wacom 27.
Xppen for me. Never used the company’s tablets, but it looks the best, has probably the cheapest price (I didn’t watch the whole video), and has hot keys. Boom
is drivers are better on wacom ? I am using wacom tablet more than 10 years and drivers sucks so much.... i hate it. so was wondering if drivers are better on xpen or huion.
I’m not sure why you’re having so many driver issues. I think Wacom is probably the most mature but they have been at it longer. I think questions about Huion or xp-pen drivers are pretty much resolved. Years ago there were issues but they have matured.
@@CreateNowSleepLater I see, I'm leaning towards Huion and Cintiq but I need to do a bit more to see which is better for 3d work as I'll mainly be sculpting and editing photos
Right, I don’t know if touch is useful to you but if so, you have one choice. Both Huion and XPPen have 4K options now but the pen experience is the same. They have better colors now though.
Can you do me a favour and tell me if the Xp-pen is a 1 and the ipad is a 10 where does the wacom sit? (not taking price into consideration). I currently have the Xp-pen but after using the ipad I really want something better than xp-pen. The tracking is so bad and after using the ipad and having so much control it's really not fun to use the xp-pen for anything. I need to use desktop apps for some of my work and I'm willing to buy the wacom if the tracking really is much better than xp-pen. Also the pen feels dinky on the xp-pen. Ipad has spoiled me.
That’s a good choice. Great devices. It’s a great time to be a digital artist. The pencil is simple in sketchbook. The only thing I wish they would have she is maybe line up the tools to more photoshop like.
The only real change to the Huion 4K is just that, its just a 4K panel in the same device. The Cintiq is still best in class but that doesnt take away from Huion or XPPen if you choose that. Its great to have options and we have a lot not now!
@@CreateNowSleepLater From what I understand (at least according to the advertising information) the 4K version also comes to 1.07 billion "true-to-life" colors and with a higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 as opposed to the original 2560 x 1440. So if one wants a huion instead of a Cintiq, but wants the similar resolution and color levels as the Cintiq, the 4K version would be your best bet.
Hi there! I have xp-pen 22r pro and I realize that I don't see a lot of tones and real colours. Cintiq is too expensive to buy all of stuff you need and im not sure i trully need it... do you have experience with this new Huion 4k according to the color? Are there any real improvements, or it's just on paper? Nobody tests them according to the color ratio((( and when you're drawing mockups (eg) it is so painfull to draw by percentage of hsb((((
@@ignatbivol7633 I think unless you color correct is with a spyderx or something, its hard to be sure. I know the Huion 4K steps up to 140% sRGB. Those number start to get higher than Cintiq but I'm not sure what exactly you are experiencing. I reviewed that XPPen you have and it is aimed at a budget market. Did you just get it?
I have never worked with such displays and is very interested in especially Wacom if there are noticeable delays when drawing quickly? There is an iPad 11 at home, an excellent device but lacks a screen and desktop software
There is emr lag but most people can’t notice it. Like if you move the pen back and forth super fast, the cursor lags behind. It’s not like the strokes itself lag. A different type of lag is more due to the rig. If you have a bazillion layers in photoshop open and 8gb of ram, it will lag but that isn’t the tablet.
I bought my artist 24 pro and a month later damn stylus wont work actually both pens dont work in photoshop and if so for a sec very aggravating. Now i wish i new these issues before buying it i would've went for waccom or something better. You get what u pay for and i paid for a piece of shit so i guess its fare i get shit quality.
I want to get my girl a tablet to draw on. She uses photoshop on a 2 in one computer that doesn't have a lot of power. She is really good so I wanted to get her something that has the power to go with her ambition. I would just get her a ipad pro and call it a day because all artists seem to swear by them but ipad doesn't support traditional photoshop which my lady and I prefer to use for it's photo manipulation capabilites. So ipad won't cut it. Which leads me to my question. Does all 3 of these tablets run on their own power? For example I don't need a powerful computer for them to plug into and run off of? If not. Do they make something like that? Something that's powerful and semi portable like ipad but runs PC programs mainly photoshop. Thanks in advance.
So I’m most cases a pen display runs on its own power, meaning a plug into the wall. Some of the small ones can run off USB. When you say powerful computer, you mean like the computer itself? The pen display doesn’t care as long as you have the right ports(hdmi, usb or whatever). The computer needs to be strong enough to run whatever software she uses. If the computer runs photoshop now, it’s fine. There isn’t much out there that is an all in one other than laptops. I’m not a big fan of them. The only other total, portable solution is the Wacom mobile studio. It’s a ton of money but that is all there is that isn’t an iPad. IPad does have procreate and clip studio. You can also run affinity photo so I’d look at them as well. I have a few iPad related reviews on the channel. Hope that helps.
I would like to remind you that Wacom specializes in its products for professionals. And the 24-inch cintiq is designed for professional use. And Chinese similar analogues are also suitable for beginners.
Wacom *markets* its products for professionals... And guess what? XP-PEN and Huion do too. They have a lineup, these models are aimed at professionals.
They are different use cases. I have both and did a few reviews on the iPad and screen protectors. I’m actually doing a review of the sketchboard pro for iPad now. I would definitely be interested in a larger iPad but it would be north of 2k for the mid range version for sure. Even the 2021 model. The 16GB/1tb model is $1799. You could get a great laptop and a 22” pen display for that. The iPad of course is mobile but you know what I mean. I wish they would just update iPadOS to be better. The thing has an M1 now. It’s as powerful as a MacBook but gimped by the OS. People thinking they will put macOS on there are crazy. No way they are giving up their monopoly on the App Store. It’s not happening.
@@CreateNowSleepLater no need to buy a high end model, just buy a ipad pro 12.9 base model, use it as a drawing display by use side car, and connect to ur Mac or PC, its so much better than a cintiq pro 13/16inch, but still too small for me, …so i bought the freaking overprice cintiq pro 24 and the ego stand, and it still 60hz and no HDR in 2021…….i hope Apple will make a big screen iPad
I wouldn’t count on it for the same reason they won’t make iPadOS15 useful. They see it as an accessory, not a laptop replacement. For larger size, they want you buying MacBook.
@@CreateNowSleepLater i mean…dont use the ipad os, yep, it suxk, i hate ipadOS too, but u can just connect ipad to ur PC or Mac, use it as a typical drawing display like cintiq, just forget m1, forget the ram , forget the Storage, forget the useless ipad version adobe app , just use PC / Mac full version software on ur ipad, the only “con” of iPad pro is: too small. for using desktop software, like photoshop, blender, zbrush…etc..most people need 20+ inch drawing display area for desktop apps, the larger screen size is the only “pro” of Cintiq pro 24/32 > iPad pro
I’m comparing the known 24” pen displays. It’s less of a you should pick this one because it’s the best and more of a buyers guide if that makes sense.

I don’t really do the bits anymore but kept doing it because people kept commenting how they enjoyed it. You can only make a review so engaging. Watch time is the key metric for TH-cam. Wacom set the price because loong time was only one and almost first who did this and with good quallity, but they dont want to go low on price to keep they brand price. And most of all artist use their tablets like even disney.
Fantastic breakdown. I really liked the fact that you displayed the logo of each while you were explaining each.
What a wonderful video. This type of direct side-by-side comparison helps a lot when choosing.
Would be incredible a video like this for 16-inch pen displays: Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 x Huion Kanvas Pro 16 x XP-Pen Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2).
good video: straight to the point - focus on the key details - add value with the commentary. I like it.
Doubt
I had an XP-Pen 22" (2nd Gen) that crapped out and quit after only 2 years of use... just a couple of months after the warranty went out. All XP-Pen would do is offer a bit of a discount on something else. So... just know some of their stuff isn't very reliable.
Great review u show a lot more details and cross comparisons to give us buyers an idea of what we’re really getting depending on what brand we buy
This was a great review. "more better" than alot of reviews and now I want a meatball hot pocket.
Sooo good.
Nice video!
About 4k. It CAN be good but on a 24 inch screen it can cause issues with the size of panels or text. 1440 is probably the sweet spot for now. And 4k is good if it is a 32 inch screen.
agreed. The DPI is good enough at 1440p on 24 inch...
Scaling is really good in most apps now, so 4K, even on a 16" screen is fine. Just set scaling in the OS to 200%.
Exactly what I do.
This was great! Thank you for taking the time and creating this content!
Wow this was an incredible comparison video. Thank you for putting your time into all these tests!
You’re welcome!
I would like a comparison test between Kamvas 24 Pro and their new Kamvas 24 4K. This latter tablet is still cheaper than Wacom's offering, so I am interested more in the responsiveness between it and the Kamvas Pro.
I would say the pen experience would be the same since it uses the same pen.
In all likelihood both the Huion and XP-Pen use the same exact panel.
Thanks this has help me to pick the huion 24 pro for me this seems the best choice thank you

I like this comparison! Do the same with the 22" tablets. The $1200 wacom 22? I have the Huion Kamvas 22 Plus and it is awesome, I do have a wacom Intuos Pro that gives you the pro pen 2, both pens feel very similar. Oh by the way, I do have the wacom remote, and the $35 XP pen remote, for some reason I like the XP pen remote that I use with my Huion.
good comparison, but what a fantastic hoodie.
Have you tried the xp-pen’s innovator 16 and artist pro 16?
I reviewed the artist pro 16 on this channel and I don’t agree, especially with their latest pen.
@@CreateNowSleepLater I thought you said you liked the pen
I do, that’s why I disagree with the OP. The pen for the artist 16 is even better than the 24” model. So I’m saying, I don’t think you can just say xp-pen has trouble registering light strokes. It’s too general a statement.
@@CreateNowSleepLater what about the innovator 16?
9:00 slight correction. having USB-C on your computer may not be good enough. USB-C simply denotes the shape of the port. you must have a USB-C Thunderbolt port on your computer. Thunderbolt ports are capable of pushing video & data. most USB-C ports can only push data. they are not powerful enough to push video & data
Sort of, what I called out was that you would need an addition cable for power. In other words, none of these can be powered by usb-c whether they are thunderbolt or not. Usb-c (at least on these) only serves to eliminate one cable (data or video). Hope that makes sense.
Great video.
Idk how you afforded 3 24" branded graphics tablets but glad you did
I resell them but it’s why I don’t review everything.
Thank you!! Best review I have seen. Guess to comes down to price.

I'd rather buy a huion or xp-pen screen pen + an ipad with the pen than buying a Wacom cintiq pro
Makes sense. The good thing is, you have choices.
@@CreateNowSleepLater Awesome thanks!

That is too subjective to answer. Quality wise, they are very similar.
Not this time wacom.
great review, really helped with choosing between the tablets
Awesome!
Thank you. Great comparison 😃
What is the comparison of warranty? Do they all have warranty service domestic in the US?
muchas gracias por el video, nuevo suscriptor!! saludos desde colombia
I have to agree with the Wacom.
The best but costly. My god, what a great drawing experience I had when testing one.
At this size, that would be hard to do unless you meant in general. You could always throw a 22 or even a 20” on an arm and rotate it.
Would the differences between the wacom, huion, and xp pen 22" models be similar?
Excellent, Excellent review. Thank you!
You’re welcome!

I'm not an expert I don't use tablets nor i will but I'm buying one as a gift is the XP 24 better or an Ipad for someone who'd use it with Adobe on windows ?
The iPad has Adobe apps but it’s hard to answer without knowing more. It’s it’s own device where as this attaches to the windows machine.
basically it comes down to if you want touch screen or not
Some people will always prefer the Wacom pen experience. I get a lot of feedback from folks who bought the non touch version.

Do you have a budget? Start there.
My only concern is the lifespan of those products compare to wacom, if someone could do comparison of it that would be wonderful.
Comparing lifespan? I’m not sure that is an issue. These comments would be full of people complaining if these things were dying.
Cintiqs last forever, we know that much!
I’ve been using an older Huion screen tablet for 6+ years and it still works like brand new!
The back is definitely some type of plastic, I think on all of them.
So they are all decent?
Because I was wondering if the feel of pen on the screen feels different with cintiqs. (I don't know what I'm thinking ... Maybe that the wacom has a more quality drawing feel since they've been known as the best)
But is there really not that much of a difference?
It’s a very subjective thing. There are nuances sure but some people see them as slight while other people go crazy. Wacom has the most mature pen but you can see from the tests that the other 2 are more than capable. Things like pressure curve can be adjusted. Initial activation is probably in Wacoms favor on the light end but these aren’t world changing, unless they are to you. There is a cost to that though so it’s really up to the buyer. Are those things worth X= amount of money? To some. To some they don’t see the value in spending that much more. I think it depends on what your art is as well.
@@CreateNowSleepLater I see. thank you so much for the help.🙏
Amazing video thank you so much!!
@@CreateNowSleepLater Would you say there is a better line quality between the Huion and the XP-Pen?
I’d say they are in the same area more or less. The initial activation force is slightly different between all 3 with Wacom still taking the lead. In either case, if you never had a pen display, it doesn’t matter. All 3 are great devices.
@@CreateNowSleepLater Okay, thanks.
*Whomp Whomp whomp, whomp*
_thank you for the review!_
Lol, thanks!
Wacom needs to revise their Cintiq 27 2K for a cheaper price.
I doubt they keep that size much longer with the pro line having a 24 and 32”.
Boom
Great! Wait, what do you mean you didnt watch the whole video! I'm just kidding, enjoy the tablet.
@@CreateNowSleepLater I mean, I will use their tablets, but after I finish my current one, the Wacom One
Another good tablet. Such a great time to work digital.
is drivers are better on wacom ? I am using wacom tablet more than 10 years and drivers sucks so much.... i hate it. so was wondering if drivers are better on xpen or huion.
I’m not sure why you’re having so many driver issues. I think Wacom is probably the most mature but they have been at it longer. I think questions about Huion or xp-pen drivers are pretty much resolved. Years ago there were issues but they have matured.
Great review. Looking at all three, I'll check your others. Thanks for posting fella.
Which one support multi touch with finger?
Only the Cintiq (with the Pro option) supports touch.
so, for the huion this needs to be connected to another device but cintiq can run on its own right?
No, all 3 are pen displays. They need a host computer.
Have you ever tried to use the Huion Pen on Xp Pen display to see if it works?
Won’t work. Same with Wacom pens. The tech would work but they control it with firmware.
What is better?
looks like the xp pen is the best value. the price tag on the other two is just ridiculous
If you could only have one which would it be?
If I had unlimited budget? I’d get the Cintiq. I think I made the point if you are prone to buyers remorse, get the best one you can.
I literally edge to this
thank you for this!!
Your only option then is Wacom but you will still have some things native to EMR like I mentioned.
good review, funny accent! (Must be from New York or somewhere up there in the NE.)
I am originally from NY but I have a lot of Jersey in me too. HaHa. I just can’t hide it.
glad you are using sketchbook pro for drawing. My favorite. I almost made the Huion Kamvas purchase but am more than happy with Wacom Cintiq Pro.
That’s a good choice. Great devices. It’s a great time to be a digital artist. The pencil is simple in sketchbook. The only thing I wish they would have she is maybe line up the tools to more photoshop like.
Would a pen tablet be a sufficient replacement for a monitor?
For general use? Sure.
I've used my ancient 18sx Cintiq as a monitor for years.
Well done, thanks for the info. GOD bless. HOPE THE NEW GLASSES WORK FOR YOU.
Haha thanks
I think the Huion 4K version basically improves all of these until it basically either beats or is equal to the cintiq
@@ADHDisYippeeeeeeeeee Yep, I think we are saying the same thing, Im not taking anything away from the Huion.
If she uses an iPad Pro for drawing she should use Procreate. If you need photo edition then go for affinity photo
nice joke about glasses, but laminated glass is matter in this case and you are not mentioned that difference, which make a doubt...
What’s the doubt?
Your audio is a bit low on this one
Roger that. Thanks.
I would like to remind you that Wacom specializes in its products for professionals. And the 24-inch cintiq is designed for professional use. And Chinese similar analogues are also suitable for beginners.
That is very subjective. If I led with that I’d get crushed. I know plenty of professional artists right here on YT that don’t use Wacom.
Wacom *markets* its products for professionals... And guess what? XP-PEN and Huion do too. They have a lineup, these models are aimed at professionals.
I know this is a weird comment but you have a very nice face
Ipad pro more better than them, 120hz + HDR (XDR), Retina res……but 12.9inch too small…..🥲
@@CreateNowSleepLater i mean…dont use the ipad os, yep, it suxk, i hate ipadOS too, but u can just connect ipad to ur PC or Mac, use it as a typical drawing display like cintiq, just forget m1, forget the ram , forget the Storage, forget the useless ipad version adobe app , just use PC / Mac full version software on ur ipad,
the only “con” of iPad pro is: too small. for using desktop software, like photoshop, blender, zbrush…etc..most people need 20+ inch drawing display area for desktop apps, the larger screen size is the only “pro” of Cintiq pro 24/32 > iPad pro
i like your tshirt too sir
🙌🏻🙌🏻
Just saw Wacom price and said HELLL NAHH
Yeah, they didn't get any better with the newer models and design decisions. I have a couple of videos on the channel about it.
You are comparing apples to sail boats...Wacom is 4k, Huion is not....not a fair comparison. You are comparing a ferrari to a ford focus.
I’m comparing the known 24” pen displays. It’s less of a you should pick this one because it’s the best and more of a buyers guide if that makes sense.
@@CreateNowSleepLater yeah
ye wacom cost right now 2700 euros the xpen artist pro 24 cost 700 euros lol who to choose ... geez how about f wacom how about that? and seriously whos using a biillion colors lol i only need 24x 4 max ffs lol u know why its named whackem its whackin my economy!
The even newer Cintiqs have an even larger gaps although Huion and XPPen has also increased pricing. It’s not close though.
@@CreateNowSleepLater i got lucky last night i found a wacom cintiq pro 16 pro allmost brand new hardly used on marketplace for 500 euros , snagged it and called it a day but i feel wacom is overpriced and so is that leech of a company called adobe, if buying a program isnt owning one , then stealing it isnt piracy. btw have u used Photopea? u think its as good as photoshop? its for free ...im new to the digital game but i just wanna buy a program thats pro and i only need to pay once for ownership.
Not bad, but the glasses 'thing' ruined it all.👎👎👎👎👎👎
I don’t really do the bits anymore but kept doing it because people kept commenting how they enjoyed it. You can only make a review so engaging. Watch time is the key metric for TH-cam. You have to try different things or people just jump to the end. It takes a ton of time to do a video like this. All those graphics are homemade.
