Incredible footage. Still not over it’s closure. Such an iconic ride with not only historical value but aesthetic as well. It’s a damn shame such an amazing ride bit the dust too early.
The scream machine. Really was one of my favorite rides at that park. Man. I miss it. Yea it was rough as hell but couldn't get any better than a classic arrow mega looper. The best sounding chain lift ever. The screaming breaks on that thing. The jerk break before the batwing and that slow dive down into it almost had the feeling that you wherent gonna make it through it. Boy. Watching this really takes me back and giving me major nostalgic feels. This ride wasn't only a huge important part of six flags history but it was a huge important part of Arrow Dynamics history in my opinion.
I worked at the scream machine for two seasons and really enjoyed my time there! I still have dreams to this day working there, or riding the ride in a different version as it’s now sadly gone. Thanks for posting!
This was probably my favorite of all time. My first ride was around 2001 back when I was still a kid and is still my standard to compare all other looping coasters to. I remember the huge difference in the ride depending on where you were and how many riders there were. What a classic.

When I was 15 me and a bunch of my friends rode SM about 20 times in a row one slow night ... It was the most head pounding best time of my life 🥺 I loved this coaster definitely brings back some awesome memories Thanks 😀👍😀👍
This was a fun coaster, I’m glad I got to experience it. I was 14 years old and rode this at least 5 times, along with viper because I wanted to experience Front/Back Day and Night Feels
Did anyone else ever get to ride it on slow days when they would let everyone just go again and change seats? We would ride with everyone in the front, then everyone in the back etc. I remember with everyone in the back we would seem to hang in the final corkscrews for a long time. It was great.
This coaster in it's last days was way better than the majority of the coasters at six flags, including it's fill-in "replacement." Might as well ride an epic arrow even if it's head-banging than ride another B&M too many stand up with headbanging also crushing your crotch when you can just ride Bizzaro/Medusa. Nothing would be better than sending green lantern to a smaller six flags (and make it floorless or sit down, maybe america or darien lake?) and building a roller coaster like steel curtain as a replacement that'd be an actually good successor to GASM.
It was rough, a real headbanger but it was still fun. Green Lantern sucks if you ask me. The stand up restraint system is so uncomfortable, especially for men. I wish they could have refurbished this ride and kept it. Although I will say, Vortex, at Kings Island was my very favorite Arrow looper. Haven't been on Viper at Magic Mountain but hopefully someday. I'm amazed they haven't torn that down yet to be honest.
False. This one was removed in 2010 or 2011 I believe. Viper is the only one left of the three that were built. My parents rode this one in it’s later years, back then I was still in a stroller.

This ride is a classic. I grew up riding it and it was pretty uncomfortable but truly iconic.
This ride had the best sounding arrow lift hill. Especially loved the sound when it slams onto the lift hill around 3:01.

I live in NJ and was about 13 when I went on this with friends. I loved it so much I went back on by myself. I thought I was such a badass lol!

I miss this ride. Only part I didn't like was that point after the third loop just before the first brake run. Knocked the hell out of you.
