My grandma's trick is the best. We prepare fried onion in bulk and store in freezer in boxes. they stay fresh upto 3months. After slicing onions, place under sun for 2 days or under fan until they are completely dry. And then fry them..this way, onions will get fried in 30secs. Need not stand for so long to fry them. After frying, dish them out, wait for 5mins then put in boxes and freeze

If you keep in the fridge or freezer for longer time better keep in freezer it cud remain for years fresh and crispy n directly u can use it as i live in canada i keep in freezer for a year as i bring barista (fried onion)in bulk from my home town mumbai india
