I recommended this laptop to a young girl on Tuesday before black Friday, it. Was only 1299$ at BB. God buy at that price...at $1900 definitely no...she loved it...
@@GizmoSlipTech Rtings measured typical brightness around 450 nits, but up to 1200 nits for HDR highlights and such, just nowhere near 1200 on the entire display.
My almost four year old RTX 3080 16GB gets about the same Timespy score. The mobile 4070 is not good value for money, unfortunately. Stick to 4060 or go for 4080, is the sad truth. A shame that there is pretty much no competition in mobile GPUs. Hope that changes.
lovely review and I saw your livestream it was amazing I got this on sale. the only disappointment are screen, high cpu temps and for some reason they messed up the IGPU and DGPU thing so I'm now running only with the Nvidia GPU now it's been 2 months I'm OK with it but looking for changing next year cuz of the screen colors or I might just get a monitor as if anyone is looking to buy this, just at first see what other companies are offering, maybe look for the legion 7i, 5i or check Asus ROG STRIX since they are the most close options to this one, and they offer better laptops with the same equipment and price. And if you care about build quality this is a solid choice + it is not heavy, so you can move around with it and it fits the back bag (I had to buy a mountain back bag for my old Alienware which made me look silly moving around with that on my back XD ). And the tech support are amazing
Yeah, that’s why I mention that flaw right at the beginning to save people like yourself the time. Hurts my watch time on my channel, but makes the video more helpful to my audience, which is my focus anyway
@@GizmoSlipTechI appreciate it brother! I just recently picked up the Acer predator Helios 18 with the 14th Gen i9 and 4090 in a black Friday sale and really am enjoying it so far! For a price of 2199.99 (no taxes in my state) shipped I'm blown away at how fast it is!
@@GamerzZone0212nope. But I'm not gonna personally pay more for less🤷♂️. To each their own but I look at the entire system before I buy. Including the screen. If I can get something just as good or better for the same or lower price things like this low of a screen brightness are hard passes for me
@@GizmoSlipTechI would love to see a 14th Gen I 9 undervolting guide if possible. Even with my gt600 laptop cooler it will boost to 5.2ghz pretty consistently and reach temps in the high80s/low 90s while playing BG3
Hope you enjoyed the review! You can find the Alienware M16 R2 here: go.magik.ly/ml/1zp24/
that display, what are Alienware thinking, they continue to underperform

I use that LG OLED monitor daily. I love it. Bought it in June.
Seems brighter to me than 304 nits, probably because of the contrast OLED provides

Incredible video!!
Display and Speakers are a 7/10 in my opinion. Only downside I found in my M16 R2 is you cannot use the screen anywhere truly bright
i recently noticed stutter on 8700k in fortnite
here before day 1 video release time hits 24 hours
I love mine
Thanks B
For 1299, the Black Friday price, its a really good deal at almost 2000 yeah NOPE
Yeah, that’s basically what I said in the review. On sale, it’s pretty good choice for a lot of people

Wish these companies would throw in a numpad. Lenovo can do it..
nice vid

Good thoughts
Wow , alienware with non-inverted cooling system... Easy to watercool the crap out of it :D
haha, I like how you think lol
@@GizmoSlipTech most of my laptops are on water so why not this one ? :D
I almost got this! But it still felt a little bit bulky!
270 nits isnt even an option for me personally in 2024.....makes this laptop a 100% ignore in my book.
Are you playing outside under the sun 😅 that amount of nits perfectly fine indoor

That LG Monitor has bad PPI.
In 1080P mode, sure. In 4K mode, absolutely not. I use it in 4K 99% of the time, but yes, when in 1080P mode, it is less than amazing PPI.
