I’m new to basketweaving and I’d like to know- can the dye bleed if the reed gets wet? I’m part of a reenactment group and a lot of what I could make will get exposed to the elements. Any insight or advice would be helpful, thanks!

If you rinse with vinegar water thoroughly you shouldn't have any dye bleed.
I would love to see what you make!

Looks amazing! Do you know if there is a place you can get willow for weaving? Ive always wondered if the techniques for reed are usable for willow.

I’ve found willow from some shops on Etsy. If you find a local basketry guild they probably have access to willow. Sounds like a fun experiment ahead 😃
