    Really enjoy your videos. As an Akron born and bred youth (Buchtel graduate) also enjoy and relate to your humor. 50 years ago my Dad own the laundromat in Magic City shopping center. Have no engine codes and an ESC SERVICE LIGHT, ABS issue, Steering control, and hill warning. Vehicle shifting properly and running fine. Cruise control not working. Taking the follow steps. Checking all ABS sensors and wiring. Getting a blue tooth code reader with more features. Have heard brake light switch can cause these issues. Anything else I should check. Don’t have much confidence in dealer. Greeting from Seattle. Thanks for your time.

      Magic City shopping center has had some rough years, but the whole of Barberton is suprisingly hip and improved these days. Way less "Barberton" than it used to be. Very common complaint is a random hill holder warning and msg. It's some kind of weird gremlin that I've never been able to figure out because it always resets the next time you start the van. Your issue sounds more concrete. Cruise control not working is indicative of a wheel speed sensor not working, and that would definitely generate TC and abs codes. Brake light switch is possible, but unlikely - and your brake lights wouldn't be working and I'm guessing they are.

    Installed an engine cover from another Pentastar engine to protect the engine. Cowl design on the Promaster is like a screendoor on a submarine.

    Thank you for the video, at Specialized Truck & Auto we have replaced alot of the oil coolers on these trucks and everything else that 3.6L motor comes in. I was going to remove the upper and lower intake the way you showed us in the video, but once you removed them together you stated to just take over to the vice or table and drill the bolt out, I thought, well if we still have to drill the bolt out why not just drill it out at first? We looked in there with a camera, center drilled the bolt and an extractor pulled it right out.

    • @promastersonly1419
      @promastersonly1419  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your logic is sound, and I have a video showing how to adapt some little roller bearings to a die grinder to drill it out in place. The problem is that the shank of the bolt is often rusty too, and either snaps off at the upper intake or snaps off in the lower. The angle that those two wells are at makes it hard to see, and even harder to keep a bit straight. We are in the process of building a solid jig for the drill press, so once you have it off you don't even need to think about it - just drill baby drill.

    If I sent you a video of the new manifold cover used in the '22, would you be generous to use it in a video where you narrate over it saying which bolts should have grease put over them to prevent this issue?

    • @promastersonly1419
      @promastersonly1419  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure. But to address the problem at the root, put a piece of gorilla tape over the cowl and seal it to the windshield. Then the water is never there in the first place.

    We need a video on heater core replacement , mines leaking on my 2019. Can smell antifreeze when the heaters on.

    • @promastersonly1419
      @promastersonly1419  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To date, we have never had to do a heater core. A damn good thing, as it's a MAJOR piece of surgery to get to. Everything has to come out from the dash. I would try to be absolutely CERTAIN that the smell isn't coming from some other leak. The bleeder screw can leak, there could be a leak at the belt side of the motor and it's drawing in fumes there. I mention this, because when it's set to A/C it still draws air through much of the same stuff, and should still smell a little like antifreeze if that's the problem. Also, you should see some evidence of antifreeze in the heater box which is behind the lower cupholders. Another approach would be to put UV dye in the coolant, and look for leaks with a blacklight. Be 100% certain it's the heater core BEFORE you go tearing everything apart.

    If your talking about rust how about the E brake. I just fixed it on a 2019 simple to do, what grease would you use? Part should have a grease fitting.

    • @promastersonly1419
      @promastersonly1419  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Almost any grease work. I'd use white lithium grease, only because it comes in a can with a stick like WD40, and would be easy to shoot down into the length of the cable.

    So are there heads on the rusty bolts to get them out?

    • @promastersonly1419
      @promastersonly1419  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The heads corrode, and round instantly when you try to turn them. They are tiny 8mm bolts.

      @@promastersonly1419 i used a wood 3/4" plug to drop in the hole to center my drill bit. Once drill i used an easy out to remove bolt. This was a precautionary measure i had nothing wrong but did not want to be stuck with rusty bolts if i did have to change a coil or oil cooler. Nothing was taken apart just drilled bolt and replaced.

    I got 2019 Promaster 2500 my back and front marker lights went out completely and the fuse is fine and also I installed a front light bar before they were out is it because of that ?

    • @promastersonly1419
      @promastersonly1419  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unlikely to be related to the light bar, but I don't know exactly how you wired it. The running lights go through fuse F34 in the interior fuse box, and you may have the upfitter box in the passenger pillar behind the passenger seat. If so, they all go through relay there as well. I'd check those first if they all crapped out at once.
