    About this video
    In this video we will show you how grow a lemon tree in a pot (container) and how to care for lemon plants.
    Citrus ( lemon tree)
    Citrus are not hardy in Britain but can be grown in pots outdoors in summer and brought inside for winter. Of all citrus, most gardeners grow lemons; kumquats are the most cold tolerant; others, like limes and grapefruits, need more warmth. The fragrant flowers can appear all year round, but are especially abundant in late winter. Fruit ripens up to 12 months later, so they often flower and fruit at the same time.

I'm adding fish or meet washed water banana peel tea powder n egg shell powder. It's in a sunny plc but d leaves mostly yellow in cooler n the tree is not healthy. Yeah I Do pour lots of water. I'm from Sri Lanka. Can u plz give some advice

    Salaam uncle, I have a question about the teabags. You used them in your soil- did you include milk with your teas? I'm confused as, while i'm building my own compost heap, my research has advised to not include any dairy products or remnants of dairy, or animal bones for fear of contamination and rot. i had no idea about the fish bones and blood product.. but i'm very surprised about the tea bags.. are they milk free? You have a beautiful garden mashAllah- i hope to one day grow my own plants inshAllah- already started growing naga, green chillis, strawberries and tomatoes- the easy ones lol, thank you for the videos keep them coming.

    • @AliRajaBagan
      @AliRajaBagan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wa alaykum salam
      Nice to hear your growing your own vegetables and showing interest in learning about gardening.
      Used tea grounds and fresh tea leaves contain nutrients and tannic acid that, when added to the soil, create a more fertile environment for garden, landscape and container plants. Because tea grounds are natural, organic matter, they increase nutrient levels and improve soil quality as they decompose.
      Milk is a good source of calcium, not only for humans, but for plants as well. ... It contains beneficial proteins, vitamin B and sugars that are good for plants, improving their overall health and crop yields.
      Best of luck

    Question- AOA, i have a bangladeshi lemon tree from last season, it grows leaves last year but no fruit last season, i am thinking this year i want to transfer to a pot or new location, shall i use the same process and potting mix? It is about 2 ft tall at the moment with green leaves.

    • @AliRajaBagan
      @AliRajaBagan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most lemon trees can take about three years after planting to yield some lemons suitable for picking, that is long as they are cared for correctly. If you grow a lemon tree from seed, it may take from three-six years for the tree to be capable of producing fruit.
      The poting mixed I used works pretty well for me.
      Give it a try, it won't harm
      Best of luck

    • @AliRajaBagan

      The best time to repot a plant is in the spring so that actively growing roots will have enough time to grow into newly added potting mix

    • @AliRajaBagan

      As with all fruiting plants, there’s usually a reason that a lemon tree won’t bloom. This can be any of a range of problems, from how it’s growing to where it’s growing or even what it’s been fed. Here are the most common causes.
      Age of plant,
      Overwatering,
      Not watering enough,
      Not getting enough sun,
      Low temperature,
      Too much fertilizer,
      Best of luck

    How to covered lemon plant in winter in uk

    • @AliRajaBagan
      @AliRajaBagan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wrap the lemon tree's trunk in several layers of cardboard to insulate it against frost. Cover the trunk from just below the main limbs to the ground. Secure the cardboard with duct tape. Leave it in place until the last frost in your region

    Can you Grow Ghondoraj Lemon in UK;?

    • @AliRajaBagan
      @AliRajaBagan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never tried to grow Bangladeshi lemon. I know people who have and they seem to do well.
      Give it a try but don't expect lemon before three years.
      Best of luck

    Why impson salt

    • @AliRajaBagan
      @AliRajaBagan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because Epsom salts are a form of magnesium, they are an effective and convenient soil amendment for treating magnesium deficiency in lemon trees. It is important that your lemon tree has enough magnesium in order to thrive and produce fruit for years to come

      @@AliRajaBagan I was going to ask this question but I will add to it, I thought Epsom salt kills the plant? It is used to kill tree stump. So was slightly confused.
