    Salaam, great videos keep it up.. I have couple of bottle gourds at home around 5ft do you think it’s right time to plant outside? I am
    In Manchester..

      Wa alaykum salam
      Sounds like you propagated your bottle gourd seeds too early. Best to start your bottle gourd indoor no more than 6 to 8 weeks before planting outside. To give you a example my bottle gourd plant are about 8 to 12 inches tall and are ready to go in to the ground when night temperature stays above 10 degrees. I propagated the seeds six weeks ago. You would need to harden off your indoor plants before planting outside otherwise it will die. Watch our video, how to harden off indoor plants. Timeing is very important.
      Best of luck

      You can apply Fish, Blood and Bone every 4-6 weeks to sustain good soil fertility. Apply 70g/sq. m around the base of established plants. Gently fork into the soil surface without disturbing the roots.

      Add handful of Epsom salt when you're planting around the base.

  • @moezarty
    @moezarty 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Assalam wa eleykum, I love your organic methods. Do you have an eBay or amazon store where you sell reliable seeds that you yourselves save each year? I’ve been buying packet seeds from Bangladesh but the germination rate is really poor. Also, I’d rather buy seeds from organic growers like yourselves. Id even buy plug gourd plants from you as they take forever to germinate and I can’t seem to get it right.

    Do you have slug in your garden

    • @AliRajaBagan
      @AliRajaBagan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Slugs and snails are very important. They provide food for all sorts of mammals, birds, slow worms, earthworms, insects and they are part of the natural balance. Upset that balance by removing them and we can do a lot of harm.
      Just use some slug killer around the base of the plant.

    Can I grow bottle gourd in my conservatory?

    • @AliRajaBagan
      @AliRajaBagan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want to start growing your own plants, fruit or vegetables, a conservatory is the perfect area in your home to do so, as you can be in control of the temperature, unlike, in your garden.
      Just make sure it doesn't get too hot, allow plenty of air.

    Did you say salt what kind

    • @AliRajaBagan
      @AliRajaBagan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's Epson Salt,
      Its not your table salt.
      Epsom salt helps improve flower blooming and enhances a plant's green color. It can even help plants grow bushier. Epsom salt is made up of hydrated magnesium sulfate (magnesium and sulfur), which is important to healthy plant growth
