From what I understand, ppl who have untreated narcisstistic personality disorder have a sort of compulsive need to exert control over others, to manipulate and put them down, in order to feed a false sense of superiority. This narcissistic self image is very brittle and needs constant validation through this kind of behavior, and it's also the only thing that protects them from their actual traumatized self, which is actually more like a lack of self, because their development was stunted. Essentially they were made to feel so worthless that they don't even see themselves as human, and the narcissistic behaviors compensate for this and allow them to keep functioning, so they can't stop, which means they also end up in self destructive cycles. The "supply" is the person or people they latch onto, in this case Kirat, to control and manipulate. It's disturbing but it's also a defense mechanism, they don't really have another way of functioning, unless they can get help.
