In Regent Park, the joyous spirit of Eid filled the air as residents came together to celebrate the conclusion of Ramadan. Rabia Alsabaie, founder of Happy Mom Happy Children's Group and a Regent Park resident, organized a lively Eid event featuring activities like a photobooth, henna, and handmade Eid cards at Daniels Spectrum building, every detail reflected the spirit of togetherness and celebration that defines this special occasion.
Ramadan holds profound significance for Muslims worldwide, symbolizing spiritual renewal, reflection, and solidarity. In Regent Park, where a significant number of Muslim residents observe Ramadan, these celebrations underscore the community's commitment to diversity and inclusivity. By coming together to honor and support one another's traditions, residents strengthen bonds and foster a sense of belonging and mutual respect.

Thanks very much for organizing such a wonderful Eid event. The. Kids are having fun .the Moms are busy and everyone looks happy. This is Toronto isn’t it. Well have fun and enjoy the day. I just have a question: when ever there is a Muslim festival men and women are in different areas which is understandable and normal in our society.But what about the singles,men and women ? There’s a problem that we Muslims have to consider because they need to choose and marry again because some of them are widows/ widowers,and others are in the marriage bracket. We have been very inconsiderate in this respect. All of them have to wait for an elusive moment to meet in a park , a corner or a restaurant! All other opportunities are risky to say the least. Eid IS THE ONLY SUITABLE OPPORTUNITY to make friends,in the presence of proper gatherings. We should introduce this aspects as soon as possible. Or,at least put it up for a discussion/ consideration. Am I making sense? Thanks for reading this. It should be made a part of the gathering,how? I have no idea but I think it’s beneficial in many ways.❤
