I really love that mod! Everytine you build smth it's something absolutely new. I really really appreciate that. Wish I had more time. Lately I could make it to garage for months now I guess. With the 91mm depending on what you plan, you can use liner with closed 4th hole and use a screw you can secure the layers who need the 4th pin and drill the screw from inside to outside maybe with small threading in the liners or outer scale. It hols with peening too but it's a mess to do. Also you'd need to widen the springs a bit of you decide to go for a m2 screw for example
I would like that in just a 2 layer with the scissors. I don't think the extra layer with the can opener and flat/multi does much other than make it a bit more symmetrical.
That replaceable flipper blade would be really nice to have in the official SAK's. Also I would like to see the pins replaced with screws and some kind of modularity, so that you could open it and easily change the other tools too.
I've been collecting knives, khukuris and SAKs all my life ...sort of a difficult prospect here in India as having an EDC knife just isn't the thing in general, so availability of good knives is a big issue. Just bumped into your channel and I am just amazed at the mods ! Now I'm wondering if should venture out and try modding one of my SAKs to accept a better (or replaceable) blade !
From an engineering standpoint it's amazing and the kid in me wants one! As an adult I don't see the need to combine an scalpel and fast deployment. Whenever I need a scalpel I take my time, sit down and have all the time in the world to take 3 seconds and use both hands to deploy the blade. If I need to have a knife quickly it's usually a more forceful task or where precision is not necessary. I don't see the benefit of fast deployment outweighing the risk of injury with a scalpel blade. So for practical reasons I stick to tedious scalpel deployment to force myself to take care.
Such a great idea. I hate using the main blade on my 91, always feel like I should save it for those times I genuinely need it. The replaceable scalpel mod really let's you use it without remorse. Officially on my birthday list if anyone's interested 😉
Thank you! Same thing here! I like having my blades in pristine condition, so I don't use them if there's a risk of damaging the edge or scratching the blade. 😅
As much as I prefer the spydiehole for deployment and have been very inspired by your Spydienox mods, a replaceable scalpel makes more sense in a tool like this. I have no idea where to even begin, but I hope I'm able to do something like this - someday. Great idea and great work!
I would have never guessed it's possible to put a flipping scalpel on a SAK! And deploying it sounds so flipping awesome! All I could manage to do is mod a Nitecore NTK05 scalpel holder on a classic SD, replaced the file and blade. Aaand while doing it the scissors snapped and now I have to try again on a new classic SD *facepalm* ...
I wonder how difficult it would be to mod the classic SD into a frame so that it would just be a single layer with their smallest blade. Without any scissors or file so it’s basically just the smallest blade Victorinox makes basically almost like the Spyderco bug but Victorinox style. that would be sick if there would be a way to do that and somehow make a super small miniature scale to go over it since you wouldn’t be able to use the original Victorinox scales because they would be too wide. I’ve always been into having a miniature version of things. So it would kind of be like the mini champ, but just one blade in the smallest possible form that you could have for Victorinox. I’d love to see that on this channel, if it could somehow be put together.
Thanks. Check out my website for information on how to order one. I'll be auctioning off this exact knife on my Instagram account here soon. You can find a link in the video description.

@@FittoSurvivethey couldn’t sell your mod on many markets because of knife laws. Victorinox are sold around the world, the US 4% of this planet’s population. The versions they sell are basically legal everywhere, from england and their very tight laws to japan or the scandinavian region. I would love a knife like that in this video, i think it’s amazing and the flipper a cool touch. But i couldn’t carry a knife like that in the cities without the risk of running into problems, and for a knife you carry in the woods there are other options I’d prefer…

Hmmm... Very interesting idea. I can see how that could possibly work, but definitely lots of work.
Absolutely genius, I like that the blade can be removed and switched out for different cutting edges plus TSA friendly option.
Theoretically should be TSA approved, but the scissors might cause issues.
@@FittoSurviveIt's not, the TSA confiscates utility knives without blades too
@@Benzion-x3q I've seen the TSA confiscate finger nails clippers before... No kidding.
Absolute genius idea! Love this. I would love to see an assembly video of this one. Perfect combination of tools!
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome! The small pen knife would be a great add-on to have one solid blade in addition to the swappable scalpel
Smooooooth like butter, well done Sir 🫡

Yes, I agree! It would be awesome for Victorinox to add something like this. And stock torx screw assembly would be out of this world cool.
Cool. It's the Flipppin Surgeon's SAK. Great work!!!
Indeed it is! 😅 Thank you!
Really nice mod. It looks like it came out of the factory that way. Flawless 👏
😎👍🏻 Thank you sir! I try my best to make the integrated tools look/feel/perform like original.

Hi absolutely excellent awesome moding you do 👍👍😁
Hey! Thanks! I really appreciate it!
Where did you get that liner lock scalpel holder flipper from?
I ordered it from Amazon.
Awesome modification FtS!
Thank you sir!
Missed the custom 91mm springs for the dragonfly blade, please tell me you will be doing more!
Yes! Amazing mod!
Just ad a nail file somewhere and you've got the perfect tool!!
I would buy it and sell my SAK!
Thanks! Hmmm... Should be able to add a nail file, but it'd make the tool a bit wider.
@@FittoSurvive
Yeah, the liner lock does add to the thickness of the SAK. Anyways, a good looking tool, like a fine Ferrari!

Interesting idea. I could definitely do it with two tools. But with just the one tool, I'd have to figure out a new spring system for it.
They make a model called the escort, I think, which just has blade and file.
Awesome mod! I love it! Great workmanship! 😎👍🏻
That is simply awesome!!! 👏👏👏
Thank you very much!
Quelles améliorations chez Victorinox vraiment c'est extra !! ^^
What to did you source the parts for the scalpel holder and liner lock from?
I used an Olivans scalpel.
@@FittoSurvive”Olitans”?
Which Olitans did you use? Was it the T029?
Lol this actually makes me want 1 now lol nice build and video
You previously mentioned that you couldn't put the cigar cutter from the 85mm in a 91mm. Would it fit in a 93mm in this configuration?
I just sized it up. There is the same issue as with the 91mm. The cigar cutter rests against the pin and sticks out of the knife quite a ways.
@@FittoSurvive bummer, thanks for checking!
What model Havelon did you use? I’ve never seen a flipper.
It's not a havalon. Hence why he was saying havalon blades fit when they usually don't.
This is not a Havalon scalpel holder. It's an Olivans.
Après toutes les inventions de Victorinox. Apres les Spidernox,, le Squalpelnox !! Génial !! ^^
Wow❗️That is a great one👍🏻
Thanks!

Tell me, what PEN is that on table? Is it a Parker? What model is it?
That is actually a titanium permanent marker from Marksmith. amzn.to/4dXOeiT
is it possible to have a back flipper mod on a 58mm with spyderco blade or an original one or is this only for the scalpel?
@@alexsotirakis897 A flipper definitely wouldn't work on a 58mm. This is because the springs on opposite sides press against each other..
