Vendorians might be my favorite new old stock species. Their lore is now that they just like to mess with other species and make them do morality tests of friendship.
Personally I like to think after isolating Carter Winston and his subsequent tale, they took a long look at their society.... and THEN went to putting people through morality tests in the some hundred odd years after. Hey, if Uhura and Scotty can hook up between movies, ANYTHING can happen between the years!
Moments like these strike a pretty good balance between comedy and drama. Even Shax scaring everyone at the end doesn’t take away from the genuinely sweet interactions between this friend group.
Honestly, one of really important points of this episode in hindsight is showing that Tendi was very much the heart of the group and the glue that held them all together. Which makes her leaving even more of a challenge for everyone left behind
Yeah, but the fact that her first day on a starship ended with her lying in a pile of the three best friends she's ever had probably helps a lot when it comes to maintaining it :)
I LOVE this episode. This is perhaps the most meta-episode of Lower Decks. A "cave episode" about "cave episode" is both a meta-reference plus a flashback episode combined, to parody episodes created to save money.

Shax, "I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU!"
Gives them all heart attacks.
Shax, "I'M HERE TO TAKE YOU TO SOMEONE WHO CAN SAVE YOU."
Dr. T'Ana facepalms.
I feel like this happens with decent regularity on the Cerretos.
That's why T'ana is so grumpy all the time.
🐈: SHAX! This is the 5th time today! STOP SAVING EVERYONE SO EFFECTIVELY!
I'm glad there is a show that FINALLY addressed the whole peeing in the corner of a stuck elevator scenario.

What corner? The lift is a cylinder.....

The sleep pile was really cute, I love this friend group.
Shax: "I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU!"
That ending is a great summary of this friend group dynamic.
One minute: Sweet bonding moment.
Literally the next second: Confused screaming.
lol, it really is

That moss forcing Tendi to tell her story out of frustration is such a mood.

Everyone in the Lift: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"You got it in two!" Adorable
It must be so hard for tendi to be so positive all the time

Tendi is so wholesome, and I love it.
The way Mariner had her arm around Boimler😏
A little jealous of Mariner right now. She got to cuddle up with Tendi.
Wouldn't Rutherford NOT remember this? Didn't he loose his season 1 memories?
Might remember this wrong but didn’t he get bits and pieces back of all his memories in that one episode the old him tried to take over his mind?
Tendi was telling the story, Rutherford's memory has no bearing.
Wouldn’t these memories be backed up or something?
@@redrasegardenthe memories from season 1 weren’t backed up, so when Shaxs ripped his implant out it caused him to lose those memories

Rutherford's a father?
Badgey. Technically now, Goodgy.
Also, a tragic loss for Logic-y. Press F to pay respects.

So where they in there for 4 hours, or for 9 hours?
Evidently 9
Shaxx is same here as in Destiny. Bomabstic. Wants to destroy things. Screams.
I don’t like the last few episodes
thats ok, i loved em so it all balances out
Being stuck in an elevator for four hours and having pee in the corner is not fun! 🤢
