4:23 I love the subtle little touch between Shax and T'ana here. My personal head canon is that Shax knows where this is ultimately going, and is pleased to see another gold shirt/blue shirt relationship bloom like theirs. The baby bear is growing up.
What I love so much about Shax's and T'ana's relationship is how Shax's is the sensitive one in the relationship where he wants them to go to counseling and talk about their feelings and T'ana is the balance who acts out more on emotion.

Well obviously the alien had managed to compromise the limbs cellular integrity. Any use of a laser scalpel would have resulted in extensive sympathetic burns and heat-related trauma that might have compromised any implant. 2:35 It bugs me when Bullets are depicted like that AFTER they're fired from a weapon. The casing would be on the ground nect to Shacks. Not still attached to the bullet and across the room.
You can thank broadcast standards & practices for that. Something about firing the full cartridge means that the violence being depicted on screen cannot be imitated by children.
It's also plausible to me that 24th century holodeck programmers have genuinely forgotten how bullets work. 😁

I like to think that since it's the future and don't use bullets anymore they thought the full casing was shot out. But then I am just giving the animators too much credit
What did you expect out of this show? Its a devolved modern audiences version of Star Trek in a parody of the trek world where instead of competent inviduals everyone is a random ordinary millennial or zoomer that they tried to dress up with member berries. Not a terrible show in and of itself, but an embarrassment to old trek and not exactly a smart or detail oriented show.

You see, animating the bullet tip is a no-no, because it's violence that can be imitated, whereas the whole casing being fired from the gun is not, because its not possible.
