🌟 Brace yourselves, Buffy fans! Join me on an exciting adventure as I dive headfirst into the supernatural world of Los Angeles with the iconic spinoff series, Angel! 😇 Whether you're a seasoned viewer or a fellow newbie, this video promises to capture the essence of my initial reactions, surprises, and emotions as I experience Angel for the very first time. Join me as I react to season 1 episode 14! Angel suspects a demon has taken possession of a seemingly normal family.
Angel to Buffy: "I did a lot of unconscionable things when I became a vampire. Drusilla was the worst."
I guess we should be grateful he didn't turn his little sister into a vampire...
when darla died back in s1 of buffy the master said that darla was his favourite for 400 years, so she was at least that old
Always good to get some more Angel backstory. Not every vampire gets the benefit of having their sire waiting for them at the grave site. Liam was living a very hedonistic lifestyle and would have likely managed to die young with his drunken misadventures. Well I guess he did die young as he is technically dead. They sure could have titled this one "Daddy Issues", but I guess that would have been a bit corny.
Before he was even Angelus, he's still Liam to begin with
Such a great episode.
Prodigal was another great Angel episode where we see Kate lose her father who had a shady past, and Angel just can't save him. The flashback episodes of Angel and in BTVS S5 onwards are brilliant for the arc of the stories. We see Darla turn Angel, and there when he emerges from the grave. A bit of a continuity error here in that in BTVS S1 E12 Welcome To The Hellmouth, Angel said he couldn't save Buffy as he had no breath, but when Angel as Liam returns from the grave in this episode we can clearly see his breath as he is gasping for air. A small point but interesting nonetheless. We see Liam, or Angel as his mother called him, as pure evil killing both his parents now truly soulless.
You cannot stop actors from breathing and the The Buffyverse shows were on such a tight budget taking it out would be more expensive than they could do. Both shows went over episode budgets too often as it was. This is an issue all vampire movies and shows cannot avoid, unfortunately.
I think the main takeaway from this one is backstory. 😉
Please turn up the volume of the episode.
Could you bring the volume of your voice and the volume of what you're reacting to closer together in future videos?
