I've learned more from your videos than any of the bigger channels that try to teach 3D. You explain all the steps so well that anyone with half a brain can follow along (i.e. me) I'm just an audio engineer but I feel like I can finally stop procrastinating and create a creature for my game. You need way more views!
I love these tutorials so far because unlike others they come in with the expectations that this will not be natural for the new people you are targeting here. You explain everything beautifully while keeping it at a speed where even I (who has never even seen blender until the last video) can keep up with the actions.
Great tutorial definitely not for beginners without previous basic knowledge i would of been completely lost . Really enjoying following along making my first creature model 😊
Following your tutorial I have made something entirely different that I could never dream of making before. Even while it's in the rough I am really happy with it. Thank you
Loving this series so far. Very informative and well made, with production value at or above the level of most big 3D art channels. Definitely looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Really glad you told us about the remesh thing and other intricacies because a while back i tried to make a creature for a college project. It was my own cg postosuchus (a dino like thing) and it was VERY well detailed but I was amateur and didn't know about all these other things so when i imported it into blender from sculptris, the thing crashed blender everytime it tried to move a limb. This i really hope helps me be able to nail it now so i can actually have the thing moving
hi^^ do you know any way to reset the origin point? i tryed some stuff i found from other videos but nothing helps, so i cant finish my creature i try to do with your tutorials.... i just dont want to start from zero again
I'm' stuck and need some help. I'm trying to use the curve modifier like shown at 6:30. I can apply the modifier, and the object bends initially but the curve and the object are not connected, and when I bend the curve, no change to the object. You said that it was very important to set the origin of the objects to the world origin. I've tried this multiple times and I just can't seem to get it. I am missing something. Is there any other longer tutorials on how exactly to do this? I've searched a lot of youtube and many videos only show sliding the object along the curve so it deforms and follows the curve, not what you were showing about using the curve to model the part.
So is masking i guess to easier understand, if i were to put it in other words, is it like when you select a layer for photo editing software so you can make changes to only a selected area except for 3d models here i guess? So I'd use make to select a certain area i want to edit without editing an area outside it? Just asking to make sure i really know.
I’m loosing my mind with the pose tool… it doesn’t anchor correctly for opening the mouth and when it does there is a sharp falloff at the masks edge regardless of if I set the falloff to smooth or smoother… is there a way to manually choose the anchor location?
Hey, im getting crazy about one thing, there is no way to make the spike and the curve get mixed, first, dunno how you "quickly" move the curve, because I select it and move it, but it goes separated from the spike, I did it almost 20 times and pressing the same keys as you, but hasn't a good end...Please, how you do it? Thankx for your videos btw, are helping me a lot to get introduced to blender, I got stucked so many times with little stupid things that i cannot solve because of not having enough knowledge about blender, but it's a big step for me. Thnks man!!
hey i an question, everytime i want to cut out the lower jaw so i can move it with my pose brush the jaw just glitches when i use the pose brush but it doesnt move down/open like yours
I'm sorry that I spent three months learning fusion360, now that I see what this program can do, fusion360 is very limited for what I'm trying to do, I can say that I made a very good 3d model of a fish in it and a mold for that fish, but I came to the next level when I wanted to add fish scales and other small details over the whole body and realized that I will never be able to do it in fusion, now I have to learn everything from the beginning, but at least I have a 3d model, I hope I will be able to fix it in blender, are you working 3d models on a website?
Love your content, but you can't be calling this a tutorial for beginners man. I'm a genuine beginner with no prior experience in blender other than a single other tutorial, and I've been stuck for hours now trying to figure out how to get the mouth done. Your first tutorial was great, but even there your just skip over steps expecting me to know a bunch of tools that I've never heard of and expecting me to know how to use them and problem solve when they don't. The pose tool you used never worked for me, and so I tried grabbing the mouth and just pulling it down, and now the frog is all screwed up. Again, love your content and am going to continue using this series to get better, but as a total noob, I keep getting completely lost with the tools don't work like how you're using them and have to spend hours trying to figure it out.
Begginer means know about somethings but still be a begginer. In your case, your a total noob at it (no offense), begginers should know to sculpt and the basics and you should aswell, but good luck and hope you get things right man! Blender is one of the best things to work on nowadays and I'm sure you'll have fun on it and make interesting things if you really go that deeper in 3D.
Excellent tutorial, do you make animated things for others? I am trying to source someone to help me create wings in a short clip in my first film. Is this something you could help me with? Many thanks
Well, I think there is noone to blame :) But you should do some other tutorials on basics, in order to follow. Maybe this tutorial is just not that well suited for beginners? I don't know, but thanks for your feedback.

Likewise. This Guy is a Guru ❤❤❤❤❤❤. Just watching his videos has given me a huge clue and understanding.

Much respect, your the first in a while to break it down properly
Great tutorial definitely not for beginners without previous basic knowledge i would of been completely lost . Really enjoying following along making my first creature model 😊
I am binging the shit out of this. I love this series and the youtube algorithm is horrible for keeping you under the shadows
Following your tutorial I have made something entirely different that I could never dream of making before. Even while it's in the rough I am really happy with it. Thank you
You got my subscription cause you explain everything with examples and simply.
at first i thought this was a timeplase but then i saw tutorial and i was so happy.this is so beautiful thank you
I saw this tutorial and is the best one I have seen so far!!!Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much :)
Your very much welcome

sadly did not hat the spike/teeth part, how to curve and so on...was to fast :/

How did you resize the cylinder in area? Right after CTRL+R, what shortcut did you use to resize within a circle?
tip: if your sculpt mirror is not aligned to center, click layout tab, then object menu (top left), set origin-> origin to center of mass
why after lasso the mouth of my creature turned green? and it won't go away on render preview
Thanks again for another great video mate
how do u delete it in 4:00 minute
how do you get rid of the blue color thats left behind?
Bro how to you replace the cylinder rich on top of the curso
hi^^ do you know any way to reset the origin point? i tryed some stuff i found from other videos but nothing helps, so i cant finish my creature i try to do with your tutorials.... i just dont want to start from zero again
To put the cursor to world center even faster, press SHIFT+C
Great tip, thank you :)

I kinda just copied them and bent them as I pleased and called it a day
Good video! Keep up the good work
Anyone knows why when im using mask tool for eyes i paint selected part but it also appears randomly on my model and there are 4 parts selected not 2

did you find the solution? I got the same issue
Ok I solved it. In the curve modifier when you add it you have to select NurbsPath in Curve Object box
hey i an question, everytime i want to cut out the lower jaw so i can move it with my pose brush the jaw just glitches when i use the pose brush but it doesnt move down/open like yours
I did lasso cut tool but it's made the inside of the mouth purple what do I do?

great video, but your curves part was confusing.
You said you prefer bezier, but then continue the tutorial using nurbs path.
Excellent tutorial, do you make animated things for others? I am trying to source someone to help me create wings in a short clip in my first film. Is this something you could help me with? Many thanks
Hey, sorry but I don't do 3d stuff for others. This is just a hobby and not my job :)
hi i am using start with lasso trim all system hanging bro any idea
What do I do if my blender crashes every time I try to do the lasso cut out? @in2vert
cut out shorter portions, thats what worked for me
Than you have to remesh to reduce the poly count. It is heavy hardware dependent.
How do u reduce the poly count?
HMM when i use the the lasso trim it keeps making blender not responding
@@in2vert oh ok
Help
@@Happymaxie balp
Is it normal that the inside of the mouth turned pink after using lasso trim?
Nvm, fixed it by going Face Sets - Shrink Face Set and chose the pink area. I love these tutorials, btw!!
The pose brush is only twisting my model around and isn't actually rotating it like it does for you. Any way to solve this? Thanks!
I had same issue i got frustrated i willl check this another time ;)
There is a setting in tool menu. You need to change it to face set. I can't remember which one, but it's one of the dropdowns.
Thanks For the video
Dude hey have a question, my curve doesnt work and i dete it and replace it, can u plsss help me???
The part doesnt move!
You mean the part that has the curve modifier? Or the curve?
From Brasil
You are a master!
my mirroring doesn't work with the sculpting anymore for some reason? i turned on the mirroring but it just isnt working
Die you check your origin (the little orange dot)? Try (in object mode) right click - origin to center of mass
alright, i'll try that! i completely forgot about that@@in2vert
i noticed two options for center of mass, surface or volume. which should i use?
Center mass.
whenever I use the lasso trim tool it crashes, is there a way around that or do I just have to leave it :(
YOU GOT A SOLUTION ???? , even i have the same problem
@@prithun I find I just gotta click off and then click back in, tends to take some time to process
How long does it take to process?
I just tried it and it takes 30 secs
Love you Sir 👍❤
King!
Is this game ready?
👍👍👍
bro draw sharp I cannot make the mouth, it doesn't do anything for me
Maybe you are masked and the mask is hidden? Or your model is not selected (sometimes hard to capture)?
I’m also having this issue and have, when I draw on the model it makes a very subtle difference and not the “drawing effect “ that’s desired. :/
Found out it was the stroke type. Lol
That background music is very annoying.
Are you watching the video for music or for learning??
explain what you are doing better, maybe I am just bad
Well, I think there is noone to blame :) But you should do some other tutorials on basics, in order to follow. Maybe this tutorial is just not that well suited for beginners? I don't know, but thanks for your feedback.
@@in2vert yes I will come back, I did make something it is not too bad
