Johann Sebastian Bach walking around in Paris with only one organ pipe, sorry horn, sounding like the cello, this suite was composed for - great idea and so beautiful realized. For me this interpretation was one reason to finally buy me a baritone sax. And it is - like all your other videos - a continual inspiration in questions of sound and playing. Thank you very much! I dreamt that someone was playing Bach’s cello suite and bari sax, so I awoke and looked it up on TH-cam… suffice it to say, you are quite literally a dream come true 😂
I've never heard a baritone saxophone being played like that with such dark and beautiful classical sound. This was the exact style of tone I've been searching for!!! Thanks for sharing your voice with us.
I’ve been working on this piece off and on for about 7 months now on bari sax, I’m not super advanced, but it’s so beautiful and I’m getting the hang of it. This is a really good and inspiring example to set for the piece

Such a challenge to play a pice written for cello, sound like a cello, and breath enough to have the air support for such beautiful tone quality! Bari Sax players who are content to honk and fart need to listen to this. You do baritone sax proud!

La partition vous l'avez mémorisée! J'en suis à essayer de mémoriser les 8 premières mesures après 1 mois. Écrite en 4/4 en double croche, le pattern du début s'apprend bien mais après ça Bach casse la routine et sa mélodie est du tonnerre. Ce que vous rendez à la perfection. La rétention des graves fait sortir une contre mélodie. J'espère que vous viendrez vous produire à Montréal à la Place des arts.
Beautiful sound! I wonder if you tried playing with a Rascher mouthpiece? It’s much wider in size (indeed requires a bass ligature), but it produces a clean dark sound akin to the bassoon that’s hard to replicate on a Selmer or Vandoren mouthpiece.
That tone is insane. I guess if Paganini can sell his soul... only unfortunate thing is when you have to breathe - lol. It's less distracting than an interesting highlight of that this magnificent sound does come from an actual human. Those leaps... one day I'll stop blaming the tenor on smooth leaps like that. Bravo.
I miss playing the Bari so much! I rented a Cannonball back in highschool and now I can't even dream of affording one. Your playing makes me really really mad at myself for not making the most of the time I had with my Bari. You are a master of your art.
