Thank you so much for showing exactly where the screws are, how many & size for removing the back bench seat & backs! You made this removal look fsirly simple. I haven't been able to find this particular info anywhere & I appreciate it so much. I'm 67, not mechanically inclined, but I think I could do this! I might need a grandson to help me remove the seats. My next issue will be getting the size info correct to purchase the 1/4" plywood & have them cut it for me at Home Depot or Lowes. It would need to be cut in two pieces so I can add the piano hinges so I can access the storage that is available underneath. (I only have the donut tire.) I have a 2017 Kia Soul Plus (which I believe the only difference is between Base & Plus is the 2-0 Liter engine, automatic, in the Plus.) I'm going to look for your other videos!
Located In the center of your seats is a disconnect tab that you flip up then you can individually remove each seat and on the jamb sides of the car it has pivoting /retaining posts slide the seats to the center of the car to remove each seat ! Then when your seats are out you can easily get to and remove the seat brackets !
I did same modifications to my 2010 Kia Soul plus. Just left the bottom back seat and filled up the back where the tire is at with hard foam level Up throw some couch pillows and and very comfortable now. If i don’t Cary much passengers. I also recommend flipping the front seat facing to the back making it useful to seat or put stuff open a lot more room. Can also slide in closer to the back seat making the bed long enough for ur legs to rest If you buy a separate driver side seat and put it on the passenger side facing to the back. You will have a fully working seat with seat belt. That will be the only benefit. The seat dont line up all 4 holes but two from one side do. Front and back making it thighs enough. The other holes need to be modified screwed in to a metal peace that has other hole lined up with the seat holes to screw in place. But you can just leave the seat with two bolts front and back still seats firm.
Lynn, did you do this yet? I'm planning to do this with my 2017 Kia Soul Plus. I was just wondering if you had any advice and/or a TH-cam video or photos of your build. I'm 67 & want to do this. I hope to go to Arizona.
Thanks for watching! The only thing I could come up with is if one of the upgraded models has a fold down armrest in the rear seat. Are you filming or photographing your build? Would love to see it! I hope to have part two of my bed build out in 9 or 10 days.
Ahh that can be a possibility and it makes sense . I’ll let you know if is it something different. Im not sure if i am filming but photos i am taking. It will be after the 18th of April. I want simple and be able to store away. I know a kia is hard but i can be around things just stuffed inside. There is one video that comes close to what i want. Let’s see. Thanks!
hey, do you have measurements from the bottom to top after you removed the seats, as well as the trunk to the back of the drivers seat in normal position? I plan to do a half bed in one, if the kia I want isnt sold yet

Not yet. I'm not sure it will ever happen. I'm 60 and dreaming of the open road. Let me know if you do it.
I saw those two little things poking out and i cant figure it out. Thanks for the video I am in the process of converting my Kia soul
