The consequences of sin and crimes even if you pay a debt for it, the memory will always haunt you, it don’t discriminate, but Don didn’t even get in trouble for what he did, if it’d been anyone else they’d got thrown in the basement of the jail. A little public shame that can be brought up every once in awhile is all, small price to pay, in my opinion

The lawyer should have been held in contempt. Talk about muddying the waters! What happened with the girl was wrong. But he paid for that incident long ago.
On a lighter note, Dick Clark once testified in a trial. While he was still under oath, the judge asked him his age. That was a request from the judge's wife. Yes, Mr. Clark answered the question.

Them asking about an incident that many years ago is a sleazy lawyers' trick to attempt to discredit him and throw shade on his credibility. It isn't really related to the case, true, but it is relevant in that they were trying to show that he couldn't be trusted. Do you know what you have when you have 50 lawyers at the bottom of a lake? A good start.
