5 Month Old Dachshund Transformed In 2 Weeks

Well Peeps! Lil Trooper is back home with his fam, ready for a life filled with REAL freedom! He is now equipped with an unbelievable obedience foundation built on respect!
Trooper came to us stubborn as an Ox, and was showing early signs of fear-based reactivity. Having had 2 other dogs previously trained with us, Troops family wanted to start by being proactive with his training, rather than reactive to any unsavory behavior, so that they could start taking their little guy everywhere with them, without hassle!
We talked about how Trooper will continue to need daily practice and continued exposure to maintain what he’s learned. He has learned a whole new skillset, but without daily implementation, will easily slide back into pushing boundaries if not held to the same standard. The key to this is in patterning his choices to match our personal desires, while staying mindful to what we so often unintentionally reward. Creating healthy habits is critical in these early stages of growing! Preventing bad habits from being practiced is immensely important. Then, you magically have a dog who’s default state of mind is CALM!
Trooper is well on his way to having that amazing bond all of us dog owners crave with our pets! I am so happy for his new fam to experience the everywhere dog they’ve always wanted. It’s so amazing to see the true nature of our dog’s when they are in a calmer, more balanced state of mind!
