I need help. I’ll be happy to pay for it but I’ve never seen you in MI or IN and I need to explain what’s going on w my dog. He’s bitten people 4 times now hard enough to draw blood. If he does it again I’ll have to put him down. Please tell me how I can talk to you and explain the problems and maybe save his life. We can’t trust him around our grandchildren. Help please.
DD is a good trainer, he is good at what he does and understands dogs and how they think and will behave. It’s more people training than dog training, the amount of folks that don’t understand dogs at all is astounding. If you’re going to own a dog, you should learn as much as possible about the breed/breeds that are in your dog and somewhat understand a dogs psyche. Also learn training basics and reinforcements and how and when to apply them.
Every time I watch you Dog Daddy, I realize more and more how many dog owners have untrained dogs. I am now aware of all the dogs around me where I live, and I would say 1 out of 10 behaves. It just boggles my mind that some dog owners do not see how much anxiety their dogs have, and how much anxiety they give to other people that are near them. Everyone should be watching your videos and taking classes. Enviando Amor from Florida! 🐶
these dogs have untrained dog owners. 90% of the time the dogs are not the issue. and .... it is a bad combination to have a smart protective dog and a dumb naive owner.
Dog Daddy you’re always great with the dogs. In this case I want to commend Artemis’s owner too for being so well mannered and willing to do what’s best for Artemis. She deserves the best dog that Artemis can be.
I seriously thought this guy was nuts and abusive. I then watched him. He really really knows his stuff. Iv got a French Bulldog. He’s a baby boy compared with some of the dogs he trains. Xx
You just need to watch through to the end. Most people judge because of those first few minutes where DD is showing the dog that its antics won't work on him. And once they calm down enough to be able to listen, that's when the real training begins. DD made a PR mistake in showing abridged reels that highlighted the difficult first minutes and jumped towards the end to show the transformation. People are too influenced by optics and are quick to judge and don't bother to analyze what they see at the end of the reel.
He is amazing, seriously. I'm still shocked every time I watch him & see the dogs have a complete change of attitude within minutes. He is literally saving lives of countless dogs by working them through their fear and aggression & by teaching their owners to do so, as well. I'm happy to know that your opinion changed. Agusto doesn't deserve the hate & criticism he receives so often. Thank you for keeping an open mind! 💕💕💕
Thank you for teaching owners how to teach their dogs. Dogs can be a wonderful part of the family if you are not constantly confusing them with your behavior. I have owned dogs from the tiniest Yorkie to a huge Rotweiler. Have never had my dogs attack anyone.
Augusto, I love your confidence. These beautiful dogs immediately realize that they are safe with you. Just as you respect them they respect you. You give them and their owners the confidence, respect, and direction they both lack. I thank God for giving you this wonderful Blessing. I pray your journey of sobriety is going well. My prayers are with you daily. Much love and respect to you always.😊💜🤗
Please make sure that collar is positioned correctly UP towards her ears on her neck. She'll do better as long as you do exactly as DD is trying to teach you. Please take him seriously for a better life for everyone involved.🥰 It'll be so worth it.🙏
This lady represents the few dog owners that understands SHE"S the problem and with more help for her the more help she can impose on her dog. She will be a great owner over time and actually has the ability to help other owners in my opinion.
The owners seem to look so calm as they watch the lesson with their dog. I know I would be a nervous wreck watching my dog and worried something would happen (not good). So these lessons are amazing to view and such a teaching
I actually don't own a dog. Sounds silly but I began watching your videos due to a severe fear of dogs. You are believe it or not helping with my fear. I did fence my entire yard due to neighbors dogs. The fear is overwhelming sometimes it is crippling and controls alot that I do because of the fear that a dog might be there and attach me. So I just want to say thank you for what you do.
Same for me, I'm also scared of (certain) dogs and can get very tense when they bark behind a fence etc. I love watching these videos in order to understand dogs better. I also find it impressive how calm Dog Daddy stays, even with the most aggressive dogs- and how the dogs respond to that calm and secure presence. I started to practice relaxing my tense muscles when I walk by a fence with a barking dog behind it. I think they actually even bark less aggressively when I am calmer (or at least I imagine that 🙃). Thank you for sharing!
...Just stumbled across this video & was quickly hooked. My new girlfriend has a protective/aggressive, big 2 yr old mastiff & we're working on us to all get along. So this content really helps me w/ the process. If you have suggestions for us that would be amazing. Great content...I definitely subscribed.
Agreed, he is also very respected by other dog trainers. Some of his methods may seem a bit unusual, but they apparently work. One of the things that he doesn't always remember to reinforce with owners is that if they don't get control of their own emotions with their dog and stay firm and resolutely consistent with the training as far as interactions with other dogs and humans, they and their dogs will fail.
Like watching this one was like sad to be honest at the beginning because you could see the dog like truly struggling. I hope the owner was able to learn and take what you taught home with them and that the Dog and Owner are doing much better now.
I don’t know why that Zach George thinks he’s something I think you’re doing an amazing job no matter how your training is. It doesn’t hurt the dogs whatsoever and if the other trainers are mad because you were so popular so keep doing what you’re doing people your training.
I think Artemis's owner will need more training as she is too emotionally vested in Artemis being her protector. She also needs to move from just seeing safety as an Artemis happiness issue and move towards understsnding her obligations and responsibilities to people-safety. If there comes a moment where she has to chose between Artemis's happiness and her nephews safety she will have to choose the latter.
After hearing what the owner had to say, I can't help but think that she's doomed to fail. Apparently she thinks that praising works better for her dog than scolding. If her dog is as smart as she says, the dog will understand that scolding marks undesirable behavior and will then avoid said behavior and replace it with something that will get her praised. I'm assuming though, that by "scolding," she means verbal corrections.
Why would DD include that if it’s bad advice and goes against his teachings..? I think you misunderstood her. Scolding is more like yelling in an agitated manner “YOU’RE A BAD GIRL!!! STOP IT RIGHT NOW! BAD DOG! BAD DOG! BAD DOG!” Calmly but firmly saying “No” or “leave it” isn’t scolding so I highly doubt that’s what she meant. I think she was just saying what part of the training she learned she thinks will work best for her dog which is giving praise when her dog does something right. That isn’t to say she’s not going to utilize other parts of the training ie giving corrections when her dog does something wrong. She even talks about the prong collar right after which we know is used to reinforce verbal corrections.
@@stancexpunks First of all, I don't think my comment contradicted what DD taught. I don't recall him saying not to scold? But anyway, I did qualify my comment by saying I assumed she meant verbal corrections. But judging by her mild energy and her tendency to coddle the dog, I have to wonder if she will be able to be consistently firm with her dog. Her dog looked to be looking for leadership which is why, in spite of being fearful, she seems happy to follow DD. And yes, I was impressed that she was willing to use a prong collar. Honestly, I hope I'm wrong about her failing. She clearly loves her dog, and I think her dog isn't a mean-aggressive dog. She just needs leadership.
You did misunderstand. Artemis is very sweet, loving, and obedient when she is at home. She responds well to positive reinforcement and I am firm with her. But I don't believe in actually scolding her by yelling or calling her a bad dog. The issues arise when we go out. I haven't used the prong collar because I wanted to learn how to use it first, because she's already had enough pain in her life, I will not cause her more by using it incorrectly. I am so grateful that DD showed us how to use the collar. Now it's going to be about practice. But I appreciate your concern, but no worries, I am more dedicated to Artemis than most people are to their kids. Lol. If you're interested in updates on her progress, I welcome a message and am happy to share.

Can you do a video about why other dogs get jealous and/or territorial? When my BF and I moved in, his dogs attacked my dog twice and we have to rehome his dogs. I have a TRAINED male poodle mix that is 25 pounds. He has a female mut that is 40 lbs and looks like a mini black lab. The other dog is a female hound mix that is 90 lbs. They were all fine together before we moved in and they attacked my dog trying to kill him twice for no reason after we moved in. They both started growling at me after the attacks. We even hired a trainer and it didn't help at all. My BF is too trusting of his dogs and is denial that they are jealous and territorial. They have become so jealous of my dog and now me when my BF give us attention. My dog is trained and did not deserve to get attacked. The mut is with his parents now and she is fine with them and their other dogs. No aggression, jealously or attacks. so it was a territorial issue. The other dog is being rehomed with family as well. My dog recovered and is all better. I tried to tell him about you and hire you, but he thinks his dogs are not "aggressive" but they ARE.
URGENT DD we've all been following a facebook page we think is fake & asking fan's to message you on a blog page to thank them for their support. We need you to clarify this in a video please ❤
Why did the dog's demeanor change so suddenly right after thevmuzzle came off? It was like a completely different dog. She went from aggressive and barking to confused and scared. I thought it would have been more aggressive when the muzzle came off because now she can bite you
Omg, mom with the 5 year old pit looks paralyzed when he tells.everyone to.walk forward with their dogs. You can't do that. You have to walk your dog with confidence and let them know who is in charge or they are going to take charge and that's when you have a problem dog.
Ok So this is what I need for my GSD, so then what is the correction, what do I need to do without ruining his confidence, I'm wanting to send him to do bitework, he's good with everything else, but the reactivity with a person, but moreso with other dogs...

I love these videos with no music and explanation and getting to know the subject. Great DD!!

So many evil trainers spreading misinformation.
So many evil people profit off the misery of thrse animals.

Very good lesson by a very good dog handler. Hopefully the owner can keep that sweet dog on track with proper guidance.
He does a hell of a job with the dogs. 😊

Thank goodness there exists pet parents like this that will spend time and $ to help their dog instead of giving up on them!

Dog Daddy, you do an amazing job with animals, good work!
Helps me to understand my babies
the fact the lady is continuously petting and touching the dog is causing the dog to be hyperaroused and reactive.
Stop judging the owner, thats not a normal dog and its not the owners fault. Go judge yourself.
Exactly .. they all want owners to be robotic with dogs @@NikkisTarot
Dog doesn't trust herself. She went looking for the muzzle.
Awesome. I think her muzzle coming off even scared her😂
A dangerous dog with a leash that they can slip off of and a muzzle on too loosely

A pushover owner with a strong willed dog is always going to fail.
Bad part 42
Sorry, I should say reinforce it strenuously and many times.because he is a bit of a fast talker and trainer and some.owners may not retain it all.
Funny how strangling a dog scares them,, awful
too many dogs and too few children
Its animal abuse nothing else.
Sorry to say this but mom, you are definitely the problem, not.the dog.
