I used to use that cream Revlon palette some years ago for work. I wanted something subtle because some nude palettes are too pigmented that I ended up with a Smokey ey just because I wanted to add some definí in the outer crease. I would look like I deepened it too much so this palette was almost like I had nothing on but it definitely looked better than not having anything on. Only subtle makeup was allowed at my job so this actually worked out.
I’m originally from New York and have been living in Hawaii for 10 years. We’re moving back to my husband’s hometown in Michigan and he’s so confused as to why I’m so freaking excited to go to Meijer. Your channel has created so much hype for me 😂
Omg I was there this summer and went to the store, this one location was sooo big! The employee they said it was one of the first 4 to open. I'm like why aren't they in New York?!
Hi Jessica 😊 In one of your recent videos you mentioned the CEO of RMS beauty. I just watched a really good podcast that she was on. She gave so many interesting tips and talked about the story behind her makeup. I would love to see you do a full face of RMS using some of the tips mentioned in that video. Also, RMS have this new set called the Clean and Bright set which looks so pretty! (The TH-cam channel the video was on was ‘Art Beauty Podcast’ and the name of the video was ‘RMS Beauty: Tips to Master Your Makeup Like a Pro Artist’. Love your videos, you’re my favourite TH-camr! ❤️
That revlon cream shadow quadd was something i owned 20 years ago. 😂 gosh i cant believe theyre still selling it. Gotta say tho, i really loved the ease of application of the shadows, as compared to the drugstore powder shadows we had back then. They were super chalky so these creams were just 👌🏻 for me.
I got the Revlon shadows specially for my junior prom (2004, so they have been around for a long time) and LOVED them. Looking back, they were not very good and creased like crazy, but I wore it all the time. I sometimes think about trying them again but I think I'd rather just have the good memories.
One thing to remember about CoverGirl is that it has the same parent company as Olay (thus all the crossover products). If this ends up being budget Olay… not a bad thing.
Totally unrelated to this video, but I hope that you’re enjoying your Bible study! I wanted to recommend something that I thought you’d enjoy. Jess, your fashion has been so sick lately! Where did you get that top from today? Same question for your video with the purple/multicolor sweater with the cutout at the neck. ❤
When I was little I’d sit on the bathroom counter and watch my mom do her makeup. She used a soft bristle toothbrush for her brows, and she’d lightly mist it with hairspray before setting her brows in place. She also used to separate her lashes with a safety pin! 😂😳
I did the safety pin and I also used to hold a lighter to my Maybelline eyeliner pencil to soften it to a gel like consistency. Im 63 and have been wearing make up since 1971 😮
I have almost no brows at all having been thru three thin eyebrow fads ( I'm old ) I still have to trim thie five eyebrow hairs I have left because they're too long 🤦♀️😂
Love a good Jess majeup review! My mom used those revlon cream shadows for years! I buy her eyeshadow, but she alwats goes back to her revlon cream shadows 😆. ~Emily 💗
I have the hydrating water cream covergirl moisturizer and I LOVE it. My skin feels so plump in the mornings after putting it on in the night. I will for sure repurchase!
It was only when I had my makeup done for my wedding, 6 years ago, that the makeup artist taught me to trim my brows. It absolutely blew my mind as well. And it's weird because, by tweezing you would get the shape you want but then your eyebrows would be thinner than you wanted. So it felt like you were sacrificing one fullness for the shape. Oh dear Jess! I’ve been home with a stomach bug the past two days and you have helped me get through it. I’ve had you playing on TH-cam all day! Let’s just say I’m ready for this year’s Vlogmas, as I’ve already celebrated the past few years with you over the last 48 hours!!🤣 I recently purchased Allie Glines makeup bag sets for my daughters this Christmas and am filling them with products you have recommended. I’m adding some Disney treasures as well! Sigma recently released a Beauty and the Beast collection. Girl! Those shades speak to me. Vibrant and warm tones that would look gorgeous this holiday season. One of my daughters loves Haus labs, so that concealer will be a must have! Did you ever do your drawing for gift cards? I may have missed it. I’m in the holiday spirit and have 1/2 my shopping complete! Determined to get it done early, as my cousin just started chemo and I am going to help with her shopping this year. 💗 I just told her about you today and suggested she watch your videos as a daily pick me up. She just turned 40 and has 4 children. They all LOVE Disney!!! I’ve ordered a bunch of Disney paraphernalia in hopes of bringing Disney to her. 💗 You have brought me such joy and helped me find myself and discover that I am important and it’s ok to do things for myself. I pray she can find that as well by watching you. You are such a gem, dear Jessie. How I’d love to meet you. Hugs to you and your precious family!! Love you! XOXO Susan in Maryland
I have been watching your videos for a long time and I always like to think about what makes someone so likeable and calming to me. Then I remembered you used to be a teacher. Something about hearing a teacher talk is very soothing to me! Were the same age but for some reason you give me big sister vibes. I don't have one so maybe that's why its comforting to watch!
Yes! Jess! When I was a teen, before brow gels existed, I would put hairspray on an old toothbrush and tame my brows. Sometimes. I'd use clear mascara! Now, if I'm in a pinch, I still reach for my Rave 4 Hairspray! 😆 🤣 😂
OMG the revlon cream shadow palette was one of my very first makeup products back in high school! Had the exact color way you used too. I used to love them! Agreed they’re not great for oily lids though. ❤
I use the cover girl yellow one in the pump. I think it’s the gel one u were talking about. I have dry skin so I use my regular moisturizer and then use that over my sunscreen. I love the combo and it gives me a really pretty glow. It brightens and glows.
Im shocked to hear how old the eyeshadow quad is!? I just bought it a few months ago and assumed it was new, and i love it!!!! I apply it with a very tiny brush and its amazing!! I use ELF matte primer first.
I had those creams in the pallet in college- (2005!) my baby cousin went into my stuff and dug them all out with his fingers 😂 Such a mess- but a fun memory to unlock.
when i first got my falsies surreal mascara i was hella disappointed as it wasn’t ✨giving✨ but after a couple of weeks i’m seeing it improve immensely. super long, wispy, separated, pretty lashes. not my all-time fav maybelline mascara but definitely a good one. also for strong-hold brow gels i’d recommends the essence fix it like a boss clear brow gel and the schwartzkopf got2b glued.
I remember those cream Revlon palettes from my jr. High school days! They are great for finger painting and giving nice shimmery impact, but they crease pretty badly. That's the tradeoff with old-school drugstore makeup. But fun to play with!
I absolutely remember that eyeshadow! I worked at Walgreens from 2005-2008 in the cosmetics department and I’m shocked by how many products are still being sold.
OMG I used to use that revlon eyeshadow everyday when I was in college which was like over 10 years ago! I need to pick it up again the next time I’m in Walmart.
Jess, I always love your International Sign for Mascara That Curls . . adorable. Never fails to make me smile -- as soon as you start talking about mascara, I wait for the Hand Sign for decent mascara. :). XOXO!
I tried the Covergirl Water Gel Moisturizer ( Dupe to Neturogena Water Gel ) it has too too much perfume in it. It broke me out. I wish they made it with no scent it be be 🔥🔥 2:12 I’m 2 hours from you. I moved back towards Crown Point. It’s dry here feels like Summer ☺️ The Hard Candy Lip Oil has poor packaging. The oil leaks in my purse on my night stand when it’s on the side. In years, from the brand it’s the worst product I brought! The Haus Lab Foundation and concealer 🔥🔥 7:35 💩💩💨 🍑🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Jess I did thought that was you! Omg!! You made my day
Yes, I remember the Revlon color lights eyeshadow cremes. I had the neutral brown/ beige tone one and the pink/mauves tone one. They were very nice and shimmery going on and for about two hours, then they really creased and got cakey. But honestly, I still really liked them. It still looked nice on my eyelids. But I was about ten years younger then. I bought mine back then at Big Lots. I actually might still have one in my makeup drawer. I had one in the purple/lilac/gray shades too. It's nice to see them back on the market. A blast from the past !!! 😁😳🌞
I'd really like that concealer brush but Anissa charges $US68 (nearly $AU100) for shipping, at least to Australia. For 2 small brushes. It's the only option they make available too. Your companies rip off on shipping pretty badly already but this is well over double of anything I've seen. I find this unacceptable. Australian friends, be warned.
I definitely think that the powder darkened your face and under eye a bit. I LOVE my Milani make it last setting spray. I have a lot of make up, and honestly I don’t do it often (I work virtually from home) but when I do my makeup, you better believe I don’t go without my milani setting spray! It makes such a difference in making my makeup up last allll day. The lip looks so good! I don’t often wear a red lipstick tbh, I think I only own two. Most days it’s just a little too bold for me
I loved that Maybelline mascara at first. It made my lashes look soo good all day long. However, it burns my eyes REALLY bad, to the point where I had tears streaming down my face. So sad it didn't work for me
The may elli will Surreal mascara was HORRIBLE for me!!!! I tried it in August and after using it…I took it off with my normal eye makeup remover (Lancôme)…and it literally pulled out half of my lashes!!! It was very drying and flaky. I have very full and long natural lashes…and they have just gotten back to almost normal…now 2 months later. It went in the trash…and I will never repurchase again!!!
‼️Dupe alert: I’ve found a pretty good dupe for the MAC paint pot in Painterly-> ‘Ulta Matte eyeshadow primer’ gives the same look. If you choose to wear and eyeshadow over it, the ulta one gives it an extended wear time because it’s a primer.
Fun haul that REVLON guad underwhelming . Now that blouse you look wonderful in color lights up your face and fits your energy …what color on your nails.?
That red lip looks so incredible on you! It’s perfect for Christmas time. How did the powder wear throughout the day? Do you think it would accentuate any fine lines? It looks so beautiful and flawless on camera. Thank you ! ❤
Omg! I remember those cream eyeshadows from Revlon. I had the one with the purple shades and they were so bad and creased lol. They looked kinda pretty though for what I liked in middle school..gothy/grunge vibes. I look at the photos from middle school dances and go omg..yikes! lol
I live in Central Il, 2 hours away your neighbor! I know Meijer, we have 2! And mine just did a major remodel.. So I'm a follower who knows the store well.
Hi Jessica!! Have u tried the Make up Forever HD skin foundation? I just got the concealer from that line and its the most natural beautiful concealer I have tried in a while, even after 8 it does not look creepy, is light to medium cover but.. im wanting to buy the foundation but im worried about the coverage since i do have some dark spots. Pls review it so i can see performance and ur thoughts on it!!
I’m not sure if this is relevant on this video but the products that is mostly popular in the makeup channels, the maybelline tint foundation I cannot get into. I might be the unpopular opinion on it but it is awful. It dries out my combo skin. I’m 37 light skin and my skin is changing so I’m always looking for a great tint product, but that one doesn’t work for me. 😅 anyone else?

Jess, where did you get your hair clips??
I think a whole video of “they still sell this!!?!?!?” Would be fun 😂
Totally!
Yes!
Great idea
Fun!
That’s a great idea!
Hi Jess. Have you consider doing a make up video out of your comfort zone? Like maybe Smokey eye shadow look? Something different. Just an idea :) )
I used to use that cream Revlon palette some years ago for work. I would look like I deepened it too much so this palette was almost like I had nothing on but it definitely looked better than not having anything on. She did something a few months ago and didn’t do a Smokey look but she did use a purple eyeshadow which was out of her comfort zone
Yes!!!! This

For DRY skin, try: Cerave skin renewing night cream. It's the only thing I use during winter months. It's a thicker moisturizer.
Yes, I agree!
I am on my 3rd little tub of it, and I really love it! It is really hydrating without feeling greasy.
I got the Revlon shadows specially for my junior prom (2004, so they have been around for a long time) and LOVED them. Looking back, they were not very good and creased like crazy, but I wore it all the time. I sometimes think about trying them again but I think I'd rather just have the good memories.
Jess, wait until you're older. Your brows will go bald in spots while some brow hair grows faster and longer than what's on your head! Enjoy!
Don't forget the random grey hair in your eyebrow...like where the heck did you come from???
And they go gray and very stiff
One thing to remember about CoverGirl is that it has the same parent company as Olay (thus all the crossover products). If this ends up being budget Olay… not a bad thing.

Ok, the makeup is great, but where can we get that top that you're wearing?!?! It's gorgeous and looks fabulous on you!! 🩷
Omg....the Revlon cream quads!! I used these every day for like 6 or 7 years. I repurchased recently and they're my go-to if I am pressed for time and need to look presentable at warp speed. They wear away gracefully on me.
Notification squad 🎉
Jess, your fashion has been so sick lately! Where did you get that top from today? Same question for your video with the purple/multicolor sweater with the cutout at the neck. ❤
Heyy Jessica & Fellow Y’all Squad ☺️😜
Hiiiii!!!! Where is that shirt from?!?!
When I was little I’d sit on the bathroom counter and watch my mom do her makeup. She used a soft bristle toothbrush for her brows, and she’d lightly mist it with hairspray before setting her brows in place. She also used to separate her lashes with a safety pin! 😂😳
My mom did both of those things too!!
I did the safety pin and I also used to hold a lighter to my Maybelline eyeliner pencil to soften it to a gel like consistency. Im 63 and have been wearing make up since 1971 😮
I have almost no brows at all having been thru three thin eyebrow fads ( I'm old ) I still have to trim thie five eyebrow hairs I have left because they're too long 🤦♀️😂
My mom did that too!
I had a relative that used a safety pin on her lashes too! It always scared me😅
Love a good Jess majeup review!

I could use a tutorial on this myself honestly 😂 has never occurred to me to do that!

Are you feeling better today?
@@angelablack7946 you are too sweet. Quite a bit better. Plan on going back to teaching tomorrow, as long as I sleep well tonight. Thank you!
@@angelablack7946 thank you for asking! Not completely myself, but much better. Was able to go back teaching. Now I’m worn out!
I have been watching old Vlogmas videos, too! They really lift my spirits. Hope you are feeling much better since your original post. ❤
Relvon has individual cream shadows i have a few Carmel is my favorite!
Hairspray on a toothbrush is actually such a good little hack! 😄
OMG the revlon cream shadow palette was one of my very first makeup products back in high school! Had the exact color way you used too. I used to love them! Agreed they’re not great for oily lids though. ❤
This is the first time I have heard of trimming your eyebrows! Who would’ve thought!
SAME!!
Love your shirt. Can you tell me where you got it. Thank you
That revlon quad was my first eyeshadow about 15 years ago! 😂 also used hairspray to hold my brows then 😂😂
I use the cover girl yellow one in the pump. I think it’s the gel one u were talking about. I have dry skin so I use my regular moisturizer and then use that over my sunscreen. I love the combo and it gives me a really pretty glow. It brightens and glows.
I loved the idea of Revlon cream shadows but they weren't deep enough for my tan skin
I wore that eye palette on my wedding day 😂
Im shocked to hear how old the eyeshadow quad is!? I just bought it a few months ago and assumed it was new, and i love it!!!! I apply it with a very tiny brush and its amazing!! I use ELF matte primer first.
I had those creams in the pallet in college- (2005!) my baby cousin went into my stuff and dug them all out with his fingers 😂 Such a mess- but a fun memory to unlock.
Not me rewinding the video because I missed the noise and wanted to hear it 😂 don't lie Jessica, we know that was you that made the noise 😉😂 x
I’m been scanning the comments and caption for info on your top. I’m so sorry if I missed it but really want to know ! It’s lovely
when i first got my falsies surreal mascara i was hella disappointed as it wasn’t ✨giving✨ but after a couple of weeks i’m seeing it improve immensely. super long, wispy, separated, pretty lashes. not my all-time fav maybelline mascara but definitely a good one. also for strong-hold brow gels i’d recommends the essence fix it like a boss clear brow gel and the schwartzkopf got2b glued.
A suggestion - If you're going to test new drugstore makeup, why not use a drug store foundation and concealer?
I always called it "Bonnie Bell" is that what you're saying bonna bell?😅
I remember those cream Revlon palettes from my jr. High school days! They are great for finger painting and giving nice shimmery impact, but they crease pretty badly. That's the tradeoff with old-school drugstore makeup. But fun to play with!
I got a casetify case, last night, with your code! Thanks for the savings! 😘
Hey Jesse, do a fall makeup drugstore look please. Love your look, and need true spiced look.
I absolutely remember that eyeshadow! I worked at Walgreens from 2005-2008 in the cosmetics department and I’m shocked by how many products are still being sold.
I love your top, do you maybe have a link for where you got it from?
Oh but your top! It’s so beautiful and I need it 😌
Where is your blouse from? Love the colors!
I would love do a review a brand called “bdb” known for “billion dollar beauty”… I see them all the time at marshals and am intrigued
OMG I used to use that revlon eyeshadow everyday when I was in college which was like over 10 years ago! I need to pick it up again the next time I’m in Walmart.
I would love to see a shoe collection or declutter! Anything fashion related i would love to see from you. A closet declutter would be amazing!
So happy for a new Jessica video!!!
I need to know where your top is from!
Those revlon shadows must be 20+ years old because that was my childhood play makeup! I think Cindy Crawford was still the face of Revlon then.
That red lip is a lovely colour, however it really accentuates lines on the lips 🤔
I looooove your top! 😍 another fab video 😍
Ok the Revlon eye shadow took me BACK. I remember my sister buying that to wear to her senior prom and she graduated in 2003 🤯
I LOVE the new Revlon line!!! It’s SUPERB!!!!
‘Did we need this from you?’ Hahaha love that! How accurate too, c’mon cover girl stay in your lane lol 😝
Yay!!! New Jessie video!!! 🥰♥️😍
I am OBSESSED with that mascara. My favorite for sure right now. It builds so well and lasts all day without flaking or smudging.
Yep! It's definitely a current fave of mine too!
Jess, I always love your International Sign for Mascara That Curls . . adorable. Never fails to make me smile -- as soon as you start talking about mascara, I wait for the Hand Sign for decent mascara. :). XOXO!

It's nice to see them back on the market. A blast from the past !!! 😁😳🌞
finally a makeup video!
I’ve had the mascara for about a month. I feel like it just gets better with time 😊😊
I definitely think that the powder darkened your face and under eye a bit. Most days it’s just a little too bold for me
I use the Milani setting spray, as well! My makeup doesn’t budge all day.
Love the shirt! Have a link?
Girl, believe it or not, that eye shadow looks really good on you.
I loved that Maybelline mascara at first. It made my lashes look soo good all day long. However, it burns my eyes REALLY bad, to the point where I had tears streaming down my face. So sad it didn't work for me
I really liked the lip oil. It totally smoothed out your lips and seemed to give some color. Very flattering!!
I first bought those Revlon shadow quad in 1999. Maaaaybe it was y2k.
Meijer is my fave grocery store!! Midwest girls get it 🎉 I’m pretty sure that Revlon quad was my first eyeshadow palette! Mine was purple. So bad!
Hairspray for brows…like 25 years ago I had an old kids toothbrush & would spray hairspray on it to smooth my brows. It worked
Not me scouring your video comments and description for deets on that BEAUTIFUL shirt! Love it, you look gorgeous ❤
That red lip looks so incredible on you! It’s perfect for Christmas time. How did the powder wear throughout the day? Do you think it would accentuate any fine lines? It looks so beautiful and flawless on camera. Thank you ! ❤
i don’t know why but the description of the brow top coat being “universally transparent” made me laugh. like…. yes
Omg! I remember those cream eyeshadows from Revlon. I had the one with the purple shades and they were so bad and creased lol. They looked kinda pretty though for what I liked in middle school..gothy/grunge vibes. I look at the photos from middle school dances and go omg..yikes! lol
Ah, makes me want to declutter some more! 🌟🌟🌟 I've been thinking about the vitamin, maybe need to look into! Thank you for taking us along Jess! ❤
I live in Central Il, 2 hours away your neighbor! I know Meijer, we have 2! And mine just did a major remodel.. So I'm a follower who knows the store well.
You mean to tell me you don't want greasy, creasy cream revlon eyeshadows from circa 2004-2006?? 😂
Always love watching your vids. Thanks for the make up review but how about that beautiful shirt☺️
It is SO hard to finf moisturizers as i age. Every few months my skin changes and of course im in menopause so YEAH! Not... 😂
In the 80’s we would spray hair spray on a toothbrush and run it through our brows as a final touch. Lol
Lock it is my favorite setting spray. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts. I’ve not really compared it to others much.
When you pulled out that Revlon cream quad I was instantly taken back to first year university!
That Revlon eye palette has been around since before 2000. It is good for people new to eye shadow. Hard to overdo it. Thanks for this helpful video.
Hey Jess I loved the video!! I bought that falsies mascara last week and I love it. You described it perfectly. Keep the awesome content coming!!❤
Revlon Colorstay liquid eyeliner is my fav eyeliner in black/brown and the pencil 🤍🤍 🤍
Do you have any suggestions for a blue red bullet lipstick from the drugstore with decent staying power?
