laura mercier concealer - I just felt like my eyes didn’t look great with this concealer at any point. didn’t cover enough, but still looked makeup-y
essence mascara - no flaking but didn’t hold the curl as long as I’d hoped. just ~fine~
smashbox blush - looked better on a different foundation another day. looked fine at end of day, lasted ok
PF contour wand - definitely wore off by the end of the day

For difficult to remove mascara, try the ELF makeup melting cleansing balm in the blue jar. It always comes thru for me even with my tenacious waterproof mascaras. Doesn’t sting the eyes either.

Pond’s cold cream is the all time best for removing makeup and waterproof mascara and foundation! To this day ….. I’m still removing “stage/ performance “ makeup 💄 for 55yrs!

Please keep the makeup videos coming, they are my absolute favorite to watch 💖 I am such a big fan of BB creams, love how hydrating they are and how natural they look on the skin. Not super impressed by the Kosas one, especially for the price. The Joah BB cream and the Purrito BB cream are two of my faves and both are so affordable!
Jess, I bought the L’Oreal True Match blush in Baby Blossom (C1-2). It really made me think of you. Super natural flush like I just took a long walk outside. Perfect for pale/light skin.

Love your makeup videos! As a sensitive skinned girl, I want the trend of adding skincare to foundation to end. So many companies are adding ingredients that my skin does not get along with, like niacinamide and bakuchiol. It makes it so frustrating to try new products!

I would definitely exchange that concealer. When the concealer or foundation is too light it never looks as good as if it matches better. It will make me look like I have dry patches I don't have and everything! It's so weird because you wouldn't think it would make a huge difference but it definitely does!

I LOVE the PF contour wand! I love the Butter formula. It blends so easily.
It's interesting how products work so differently on everyone. I've never had luck with any of the Essence mascaras. On the other hand I love the Loreal Panorama because it looks great and is so easy to remove, even with just warm water. Bummer about the concealer....the foundation is so good!
The Essence mascaras never work for me either, you're not alone!

I love the new background setup! But I do think there needs another lamp on the right side to balance with the right side; otherwise it’s a little darker on the right. Or maybe light the candle while filming? that might help too I guess❤
Hmm.. interesting take. I was finding it distracting throughout the video. The background have a lot going on in the middle of the video frame and nothing on the corners of the frame. It visually cut the screen size for me. Also the prints and the lamp, though beautiful, clashed with our gorgeous Jessie in the front. I don't normally nit pick but it was distracting enough for me to mention it. I hope she keep tinkering with it until its just right.

The new Essence Lash Without Limits mascara is awesome & the brown is a true brown!
I just bought that one! I love it!!! It is definitely a true brown. I was super excited to find it. Been looking for an affordable one forever lol
Save your money and get the Physicians formula liquid butter flow bronzing in the larger dropper bottle… it’s gorgeous, blends seamlessly, doesn’t get caught in the hair line like so many bronzers do and can even be added over powder and still blend out beautifully. Unless you prefer the tiny, messy, squeeze tubes these brands are coming out with for size convenience, making it more travel friendly. Even so, the formula for the glow bronzer is far superior and you get way more product than those tiny sponge tip tubes. It is a great alternative to the Kat Von D gel liquid bronzer too, which is a holy grail for so many of us. PF obviously just doesn’t have as many options for shades, but I will say it’s one that will work for Light to Medium skin tones. Emily Noel recommended it and I’ve since been LOVING it.
if you're looking for a good brown mascara that is fluffy and natural looking -- the Undone Beauty mascara in brown and burgundy are both excellent! I usually get brown and accidentally bought burgundy last time but ended up loving it because it looked chocolate brown! It's $7 at Ulta!

My skin has been crazy dry lately that even my new Laura mercies flawless lightweight foundation was being patchy, so I got a sample of new MUFE foundation and tried it, my skin loves it! It blended so well and looks fresh on me! 😊
Maybe the blush was blotchy because you didn’t powder your cheeks after using a very moisturising foundation.

The PM under eye brightening powder although been around for a while has always been on my to buy list. Seeing how much it brightened your under eye just solidified me buying it! It’s an expensive product for what it’s for but, it will last for ages! So there’s that! ❤

The first time I tried the Kosas BB burst I thought I would return it, since it wasn’t anything special. But then everyone commented on how beautiful my skin looked. It is lovely for dry skin. I usually put it on with my fingers than tap over it with a damp sponge.

Jessica, my skin tone is just about the same as yours. I love to see you try on foundations for that reason. Selfish, I know. 😬😍I bought the Missha BB Cream #23 way back when you recommended it, and it is so cool toned and almost grey. I mix it into other foundations if I need to neutralize the yellow or “cool” it down. I think it works!

And you can see all your pigment all your spots or whatever they are it doesn’t cover at all. Yes, the blush looks blushing.
Black-brown usually looks like a tad softer black. You need to get true “brown” mascara. There are several out there right now.
Try the Pat McGrath with a puff or sponge. That’s how I was taught to use it and it works great.

I’m blonde and pale and I find black mascara just looks too harsh for most daytime wear, but black/brown looks just a little more subtle so it’s what I prefer for work days, etc.
Also I thought your skin looked really nice when you put on the Kosas bb cream. Maybe it’s the camera vs real life, but it looked blurring and like it has coverage!
I love the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Concealer, but I was not a fan at all of the Real Flawless Concealer. I found it to be more drying. I do love the Pat McGrath undereye powder, though. I've been using it forever.
Those Maybelline single shadows are so good though!
You mentioned Panorama being difficult to remove….I just use water and it removes fairly easily. You do meet to hold a warn wet cloth to you eyes for a but, but then it comes off with ease. Similar to a tubing mascara, but not in tubes.

It might be nice if you got more lighting on your left side to balance out the brightness from the window on your right. Kinda hard to see detail on that side of your face.
With the smashbox palette, I was really excited about it because I genuinely like having face palettes like it - I do get why people get tired of them as it's hard to get those palettes to be good for multiple skin tones and not everybody is going to want the shades chosen for them, but I love them for travel so I don't have to pack an individual Bronzer blush and highlight and I am glad to see a brand coming out with them again and it being talked about because I hope they'll come back because I have nearly emptied the very old one I have and I'd like to have a decent amount of options. Clearly won't be purchasing the Smashbox one though..I was excited because it has the Becca formula for highlighters in it, but if the blush isn't good then it's not worth it.

You definitely WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED with the Pat McGrath powder !!! It does what it claims AND MORE !!! I’ve repurchased several times (in light😊) over the years and it’s PHENOMENAL ,especially for 55+ mature under eyes ❣️👍👏🤩!!!

I think that foundation was messing with the blush/bronzer patchiness. I heard good things about the makeup forever hope you try soon. I love the fat oil sticks because of the longevity of the moisture, I have very dry lips. Pat McGrath powder looked great and really helped the concealer. The tower 28 lips looked pretty. Thanks for trying these products and giving your first impressions.
Can you do a review of natural/organic/clean products? I know sometimes "clean" is a scam.. but I'd love to see some cleaner options tested by you
