foundation: lasted better than I thought it would! u
brows: stayed EXACTLY the same as when I applied - did not budge
essence contour stick - stasyed prety well where I placed it
eyeshadow - no creasing, wore nicely all day!
mascara - curl lasted all day, no flaking or smudging
colourpop blush/highlight stix - lasted okay, a little bit of wear on the blush
loreal lip: lasted all day - some wear in the center (I ate dinner, drank water etc.) - I would probably re-apply every 3 hours or so to keep it fresh looking!

Hi Jessica, I have to recommend the elf putty brush for creme blushes, My granddaughter got it and dipped it in a cream blush so I tried it as a blush brush and it is small enough to stipple and blend works beautifully. I love it, give it a try, a happy little accident from a 5 year old lol.

Since you brought up the mole on your eye, I am taking this opportunity to say this: my sis thought she was getting an early cataract or might have had floaters or something but the pandemic just started and the eye doc canceled her appointment more than once. She finally got in end of May. She had a freckle in her eye. That freckle turned out to be melanoma. She had her eye removed but it was aggressive and came back in her liver. I miss her so much. This is a p.s.a. that the ophthalmologist wants us to yell from the roof tops: if you have a freckle in your eye, have it checked yearly. Early detection is so important. Thanks for letting me leave this here.

Thank you for sharing that! I too, have a friend that had a freckle in her eye that was cancer. Luckily, she had the tiny spot removed. I have noticed that I now have one.

I totally agree about feeling grateful for good health after being unwell, I've just started to feel back to 'normal' after my anxiety meds stopped working after 20 years! I'm now really appreciative of a good nights sleep, having my appetite back and just being able to relax and watch you and all my other favourite youtubers.

As a person that is just now beginning to understand makeup, it would really help to know what are the basics and best products out there that I should buy!
Unpopular opinion: I like applying my blush with a large, thicker fan brush. I learned that trick from Wayne Goss. It helps me from going overboard with my blush 😂❤
This tint is awesome, definitely buildable not to thick and it doesn't break 💔 you out very comfortable love it will buy more !!!

Elf has their small stippling brush. It has a clear handle, I believe it's one of their cheap-cheap brushes. It's PERFECT for cream blush! It was the first brush I bought when I was dipping my toes in cream brushes 6-7 yeaars ago. I've purchased so many brushes since, affordable and high-end. I always go back to my $3 Elf brush.

I love the elf primer I use it under my eyes and find it doesn’t settle in my fine lines, sets so well with powder and last. Perfect fo lighter make up days xx
Just saw this at an Airbnb in Albuquerque. Hope I turn the next guest on to you. The new elf sunscreen primer gel formula is a great dupe for the supergoop. It has stood up to a week of intense sun and become my new favorite. I am just learning at 54 years old to take care of my skin and play with makeup. Thanks so much for all your recommendations and tips.
I think 25/8 is a play on 24/7 on the colour pop blush color.

I like using the Elf putty primer brush - it's small and dense - works well for cream blush!
I started using it after Taylor Wynn recommended it and I have 1 for cream bronzer and 1 for cream blush now. Love them!

I really like the Maybelline 24-hour skin tint. It feels like nothing is on. I pair it with the Physcians formula concealer. I used to be a high end makeup person exclusively but now am realizing there is a lot at the drugstore that is good in certain categories.

I feel like the Luxie brushes are so underrated! I use the LUXIE 550 Short Duo Fibre Brush for my cream blush products. It is small enough to contain the product just to my cheeks. I love it so much, I have a backup! They are running a great 4th sale right now also.

My favorite brush for cream blush is the Elf putty primer brush! It's the perfect size for a blush brush (in my opinion lol) and since it's meant for the putty primer, it's obviously great with creams and liquids. I've tried so many different brushes and I come back to that one every single time. So much so, that I have 3 of them just to make sure that one is always clean and ready to go haha
At Taylor’s recommendation, I use Elf’s Putty Primer Brush and Applicator. It’s like the Haley’s Brush you use for foundation but smaller. I love it!
I love using the IT Cosmetics heavenly skin smoothing complexion brush no 704 for my cream blushes! It's so perfectly densely packed that it gorgeously stamps on, and it's soft af. I think the bristles are infused with hyaluronic acid or something. Either way it blends cream blushes, bronzers etc. Like a dream!
There is a elf stipple brush that is on the smaller side that I love. It’s not as big of fluffy as some of the other elf brushes I’ve seen. I LOVE it bcuz it’s small enough to do your blush with and u don’t feel like it takes over your whole face. It’s skinny I guess u could say. It works so good. B on the look out for it if u r looking for a smaller brush to apply blush.
Taylor Wynn said to use the Elf Putty Primer brush for cream blush.. I now own three and LOVE IT!
Hello Jess it’s good to see you! I’ve been enjoying the Sephora "pro foundation brush 47" for cream cheek products especially blush. It says foundation brush but it’s actually so tiny for foundation.
My favorite liquid/cream blush brush is the Elf airbrush stipple but I think they discontinued it 😭 it’s perfect. It’s small and precise but blends so well. If it’s gone I hope they plan to replace it with something similar.
Hands down my fav for liquid/cream blush is the Real Techniques 200 expert face brush. I might use a sponge, but I never use a different brush.
I always enjoy your videos!! You always do a great job!! Your makeup looks really good!! Very glowy and dewy looking!! Going to have to try the maybelline foundation!! I normally don't go for droplets foundations but I would try this foundation for sure! I have the elf cosmetics color corrector and the putty liquid primer and I love it!! Very silky and buttery and vert light weight! I have the CoverGirl new mascara!! It's okay!! Nothing to write home about, but like you said in this video very natural looking!!

I love those blush sticks! It’s exciting to see you try one. I have the shades Cool It which is a cool toned pink and Invite Only which is a summery/sun burnt red. It’s really pretty and maybe my favorite(???). I’m pretty fair too and it blends easily with my skin tone.

Jessie, I think you would really like the Revolution eyeshadow formula!! The shimmers are sooo pretty, my go to is their Re-Loaded palettes, especially Smoky Neutrals, love it and it costs nothing!

On the brow product you tried I noticed you went in right away to the front of your brows and applied a decent amount of product. I’ve noticed a lot of makeup artists will wipe the brush off a bit and start in the middle of the brows where you’d want the most pigment deposited, work towards the back, and then lastly lightly brush through the front of the brows. I think any brow product applied directly to the front of the brows is going to look really harsh and dark. Anyways, love your channel Jess!!
The elf putty brush with the scoop at the end that you’re supposed to use with the primer is my fav brush for cream/ liquid blush cause it’s so small
That’s a great tip about the contour imma have to try that! Right now I use the contour from sheglam and I loveee it but that essence one in that moon dust shade looks perfect for me if I want to try a stick as opposed to a liquid
Im there with you on the eyebrows, the color is always off for me, I usually mix two and powder them to take down the dark.

🎉🎉 The best cream blush brush is the Sephora PRO 99 brush !! 🎉🎉 It's more precise because of its slightly tapered shape and it's smaller size. Perfect for stippling without disturbing the makeup underneath! I find it also to be the perfect brush to do the sunburnt look across the nose, again because of its shape and size. I'm always going back to it ❤❤
I have come to love using the BK Beauty 109 smaller contoured foundation brush for creme blush - I can lightly pat it on, and then I can lightly buff it in as needed. It works perfectly for me.
That contour was a dirty disaster. Going to check out the Bobbi Brown concealer product you mentioned. 😘
Have you tried Arches and Halos brow pen? Just picked up neutral brown and the color is great if you don't want a warm toned brow
The maybeline age rewind concealer has a pinky peach shade, same as Bobbi Brown corrector or the Becca-turned-smash box one. I don’t find it has quite as much pigment, but if you truly didn’t want to splurge, it’s fine, too.

My favorite cream blush and bronzer brush is the real techniques solf sculpting makeup contour brush! Juicyjas turned me onto it and it's perfection. Also a dupe for the fenty shaping brush I think
I think the nxy blush that people used as contour was the shade taupe. It was the perfect color not too grey I loved it. Anywho I'm dying to try the Nxy Ultimate palette in Vintage Jeans its got some blues in it but its more cool toned. Im just growing tired of everything being so warm toned. I love the elf putty brush for cream blush and bronzer. They're small and they fit perfectly into their putty bronzer and blush, but they also work well with any cream products that you want in a specific area since they are so small and made for targeted application
Have you tried Covergirl true blend hydrating foundation? I think you would really like it! it has a serum foundation vibe
The Persona Cosmetics blush brush (dual sided) is the one I swear by for creams!!
My favorite lipstick is from Lelo Beauty. The color is beautiful and it is very long lasting

I live about 2.5 hours east of y'all & we just had that wild storm come through early afternoon. It got really sketchy. Hoping it missed you. I know at least 45 minutes in each direction of me lost power. Luckily it passed quickly, but you'll get that with 90+mph winds.

Re: blush brush question: My favorite cream blush brush is the Real Techniques foundation brush. It's a nice, compact size and has dense bristles so you can place it exactly where you want. 😊 I actually really love their blush brush, too, (for powder blush). Thanks for another great video!

Just wanted to tell you I have been using the ulta beauty three and one cheek palette ( in Santorini sun) and I’ve even got my mother to fall in love with it too! It’s amazing and so effortless!!!!! I’ve also got St Tropez Sky the highlight is amazing in that one!

My favorite brush for cream blush is from the makeup by Ariel X morphe brush set! The medium taper brush is the perfect size and you can apply blush targeted but also blend it out, those are the best brushes!
There are very few high end products that I consider to be holy grail ride or dies, and the Bobbi brown corrector is one of them. I’ve tried SOOOO many at so many price points and I’ve come to the conclusion that it truly is undupeable. I usually repurchase it during the Sephora sale and it lasts a long time.
