Ever since I built my high-band QMX, it's been unusable for CW due to a strong 'thunk' at the end of every CW dit and dah. Frustrating, but I had faith that Hans of QRP Labs would figure out a clever firmware fix. Well, I'm happy to report... he's done it! Version 18 of the QMX firmware works like a champ, and bans the 'thunk'.
Audio in this video is recorded straight out of the QMX using a Y-splitter, so what you hear is what I was hearing in my 'cans'.

It is maybe the best QRP rig on the market right now. You will love it I am sure… Ultra compact 5-bander with capability to operate from 8-13.8V, SWR meter included. The price is still very reasonable and radio looks professional. Congrats to Hans!
Fantastic news on the QMX firmware fix!!! QMX is a great QRP RIG.
That QMX sounds great
Mine is in the quay now expect mid july? I think it should be this Revision can't wait.73 jim KB1PFL
Sounds good. Would you be willing to post your AGC settings in the description? Your QMX sounds a bit better than mine does.
I'm using the settings shared by Steve K1RF on March 3rd, 2024, to the QRP Labs mailing list. His settings are:
AGC - ON
Threshold S - 7
Slope dB per dB - 60
Noise filter - 5
Hang time - 30
Smooth samples - 50
Recovery dB/s - 50
Sample blocks - 4
S9 sounds like S - 9
AGC display - ON
AGC dB per bar - 3

Great news,
Thank you.
Are clicks during transmit in this video related to antenna?
I mean that your antenna too close to rig and your headphones and power cable can receive your signal during transmition and as a result you hear interference as clicks.
Working antenna like this (very close to headphones) I bourn out FST in my QCX. Hopefully this was an easy to replace.
I've checked against a dummy load, and that's just kinda what it sounds like - no relation to RF messing with the electronics from a poor match.
