Di KO6BTM takes Ara N6ARA, myself, and Ormoo the SOTA Cat for a sunny activation hike on Cahuenga Peak. Di finally got to use an Elecraft KH1 - and they get along well!

Was the coil added to the whip to get the KH-1 into 40 meter? Do you set the switch to 20 and let it ride?
Coil plus correct counterpoise, and the internal tuner did the rest. Super easy! Glad Ara brought it to play with; so compact.
@@SOTA-plusah ok. That’s the ax-1 coil for 40, so that makes sense. I might have to try that.
