Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included th-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
I love the dresser - beautiful color! I would center the dresser against that wall . To close to door frame.
I thought the same thing until I saw the door into the room. Moving it would have kept the door from opening.
I don't think that's wheat. Maybe yelloe tulip. But what do I know, I loved the malachite.

I don't know if y'all have a mortgage on your house (the one that you bought, not the rental, of course), but if you do, you may want to make sure that it doesn't require that you actually LIVE in the house. If so, and the lender finds out, they could call the loan in (meaning you have to immediately pay it off). Also, any homeowners policy that I've ever had with all the many homes I've ever owned require the house to be owner-occupied. if it's not, the policy could be null and void. In addition, when you get the vacation rental part of the house up and going, be sure you look into a commercial rental policy on that. Having had two vacation rentals (a mountaintop cabin and an oceanfront house), I would NEVER operate a rental of any kind without such a policy, especially because of potential liability. I know this is all new to y'all, so I wanted to offer advice based on experience.
Gee I am glad that in Australia we do not have to let our lender (bank) dominate whether we decide to tenant the home out !! The only issue we have, is if you don't live in the home yourself for a minimum of 12 months first, then when you sell you get hit with Capital Gains Tax....which is heafty.
@@marjiponsford-thompson1500 it is not that a lender “dominates” what you do with your property, it’s just that statistically people will walk away from what they owe on a mortgage if the house is destroyed by a renter. I supppse the thinking behind the owner is that it is worth it to have ruined credit for 7 years than pay a bunch of money on property that is not worth it. So, the rule is to be upfront with the lender and pay a higher interest rate. While I am not fond of big banks and I don’t like people who are too irresponsible to pay what they owe, I do understand the logic of both parties.
Why on earth would you even say that to somebody. Mind your own business and leave Lauren and her partner alone. You sound like a proper jobs worth and I bet you’re the super grass type. Live and let live.

I wasn't aware what you were doing. I thought it was just white. But I love the bright sunny color. I had chosen "wheat" way back when but didn't remember until the reveal. Great job. Beautiful dresser.
I love the stained top on this dresser. Yellow is not my color but it looks nice. Fyi...terra clay paint is water based. It is an artisan paint that you can build colors and textures with or even get a chippy look. Since it's clay and water based it reactivates with water to get those types of finishes. I enjoy watching all that you do, furniture flipping, updating your rental and your home!

Love to see how your skills and safety procedures have developed over time. Please label all drawers/pieces and return to original positions. It does matter.

The idea of a rotating dresser..fixing up new dressers and selling them, using your room as the stage…is a great idea!! I think it will help you sell a lot of dressers!
I do have a question…why do you not like oil based stains? That is my only area of concern. I think the wood grain looks much more rich and beautiful with an oil base stain, or at least it seems this way. Perhaps I just can’t see it as well on the videos.

I absolutely love the wheat! It was my choice too. I love how you hid the color 'til the end. I was trying to figure out what was going on. Lol! The knobs are perfect! You always do an amazing job on your projects. I love the stained top too. You can put a tinted wax on the paint to deepen the color if you aren't happy with your choice, but i really love the yellow wheat color. It's beautiful. Looking forward to your next video. :)
A tinted wax is a great idea to make the color more bold!
That dresser is beautiful! You should keep it. It’s definitely a mid mid color.
It doesn't 'kick me in the gut and shove me back' like your other amazing work. I may have sanded it all back and kept the wood patterns in another stain, but the outcome was certainly worth the effort.

Clay paint always drys lighter. Waxing it would deepen the color. The drawers are not lined up, it does matter where they go. Not my vibe with that color but to each his own!
The dresser came out beautiful....I'm a Dixie Belle girl and lillymoon....but not sure if I will be using the clay base one unless for a textured finish would definitely be a game changer.. hardware is beautiful 🥰👍

I have those knobs that you took off the dresser on our kitchen cabinets! I am not crazy about the color, but you did a great job! the brass knobs look great! I got the sense that you two aren't sold on the color either, but at least you can easily repaint it, or, as you said, sell this and try again! Have fun with it!

I love fixing old furniture. taking something broken, fixing it and giving it new life. I DONT love painting things actually. I do for cheap furniture or my own use but I love finding a beautiful old wood piece and repairing and refinishing so much.

I wasn't surprised at the "rough" texture, after all it's called Clay Paint and should feel like clay, right? I'd like it in my home! The wheat is nice as well as the stain. I especially liked the stain color!

Sounds like a Canadian brand called Blustone House. It's a nice paint and has good coverage, but still feels "gritty" or rough even after two coats of wax.
