As we wait for Zero Time Dilemma, please enjoy some more Castlevania (appropriate for the month?). This installment seems pretty minor in the overall timeline, but the devil forging mechanic was pretty robust and deep. I can't say I recommend this title overall, as I do prefer the Belmont ones, so please enjoy this recap. Next RECAPitation will be: Zero Time Dilemma
Thank you, Oni. I'm not really into the Castlevania games, but it's always so nice to hear you recap them in a way that someone like me unversed in the lore can understand. Keep up the great work and have a good October my friend.
Abandoned Castle is lowkey one of the best Michiru Yamane tracks in the Castlevania series. It's just so fucking punchy, and that Fugue-style guitar riff breakdown after the 2nd verse, HOLY SHIT
@@joadore2479 ngl super lame that Hector's one single victory as a character was in service of giving Isaac an even bigger one. Isaac already had tons of cool and great moments in previous seasons, Hector didn't get even a single one just for himself. And Isaac was gonna win either way, Hector's intervention just made it easier.
@@rogerarteaga2665 I'd say the best 3d one when it comes down to strategy, a lot of foes can either kill you in 1-2 hits or stun/poison you. This is the first castlevania games where you actually need the help of the companions(for an example, castlevania symphony of the night has a sword,devil/imp,fairy,pixie, ghost. Which you can most definitely beat the game without them) to help you get through some parts of the game. The way you get weapons in this game has to be the best in the series , letting you make the weapons from materials you get from defeating enemies and also the steal system.
Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness seem to get a bad rap as 3D PS2 Castlevania games, but I always liked them. Also, they both had a sweet soundtrack. I'm proud to say I own a copy of each game.
In the prologue we find out that Isaac had Rosalie accused as a witch and killed. Doing this either intentionally or inadvertently protected Julia. When he sees Julia halfway through the game I wonder if he feels a bit of remorse for what he did?
Having watched Castlevania season 3 on netflix, then watching this, it's hard to see how that bitch Hector could be the hero of any game. He gets mounted and bitch-slapped by female vampires all day, as they tell him what a good boy he is.
Well the game came first.... so reading this, it just pisses me off. Like the Netflix writer's just wanted a laugh at his expense cuz they didn't like the game.
My brother liked this one much more than I did. I think I still have it in my collection, but I doubt I'll ever rectify the fact that I never completed this game. Nevertheless, great job on this RECAP like always. The alliteration wasn't quite as noticeable as before (As this was the intent, I won't point out which ones I noticed), but I kept smiling every time I hear them within your storytelling voice. :D I love this RECAP, even though I don't love the game, and thank you for keeping this up. Zero Time Dilemma promises to be more awesome. I'll meet you on the next battlefield.
So your telling me that we could had met with St Jermaine in the battle of 1999? Ugh...thanks Konami.😒 I had always wondered where he went or if we would ever see him again.
@@mintrue4838 It basically decided to reinterpret these events entirely. Which Castlevania is being covered next
Awesome!! Always enjoy these!

Mmmmm, ...
Julia !
I know this is off topic of castlevania, however could you maybe do a recap on the Onimusha series?
I will never get over how the best fairy in this game is literally a middle-aged japanese man. Tingle permiated into Castlevania.
This is the first Castlevania game I played, and it's what got me interested in the series as a whole. I still play it every now and then.
Sora-Rex Kairi-Pyra Naminé-Mythra Wow same :0
Hector playing video games and taking a dump before he fights Isaac. Truly a pogger
Hector needed to master the true ultimate power of dark magic.
Moonwalking 🌜
One of my favorite Castlevania games alongside Aria of Sorrow
Best OST of the entire franchise
Abandoned Castle is lowkey one of the best Michiru Yamane tracks in the Castlevania series.

I’m actually shocked this game got bad reviews, this came out when I was a kid and I was just amazed, flawless game.
I can’t wait to see Hector go full on badass mode as he does in this game in Season 4 of the Netflix show!
2 more weeks
He just pulls a fast one on lenore and carmilla. No badass shit like in CoD.
well he did somethin for sure
@@joadore2479 yep
He set everything for Isaac and even aided for the revival of dracula

Hector looks just like in the series, but Isaac... Damn never before I've seen someone change so drastically on adaptation.
That's an easy one. The greatest Castlevania game ever created. I still play it to this day
I don't know about greatest but it is one of the best 3d ones

Both soundtracks are outstanding! For me, they have some of the best tracks into the whole series.
this game is the bomb, i loved it when it came out. No idea why its not famous
There are Soo many unique things about this game that are worth a deeper analysis and appreciation from the Castlevania community
In the prologue we find out that Isaac had Rosalie accused as a witch and killed. Doing this either intentionally or inadvertently protected Julia. When he sees Julia halfway through the game I wonder if he feels a bit of remorse for what he did?
This whole time I thought you played as Alucard... I obviously never paid attention.

Please cover Tales of Vesperia at some point. I love your videos it would be amazing if you made this one day! :D
What a shame not even a million copies sold for such an amazing game.
I know that your channel will slowly but surely grow , great content keep the great work

I dont know if its just me but I love all this alliteration
Recap ideas:
FF: Mystic Quest (SNES)
The Phantasy Star series
The Shining series
So your telling me that we could had met with St Jermaine in the battle of 1999?
Ugh...thanks Konami.😒
I had always wondered where he went or if we would ever see him again.
Yep, he went to 1999
I thought most of the characters from the anime were original but I see they got a few from this game
You should do a recap of the Legacy of Kain Series.
Oh Oni I just got done with gamerthumbTV's part 3 of the true Castlevania timeline and then this pops up. Sleep is for the weak
Cant wait for your recap of SOTN!
Please cover Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis
Go further, cover everything Tactics Ogre. ;)
One of my all time favorite games!
I know I'm not a patreon, but I'll leave a request here anyway: could you do Rule of Rose or Haunting Ground?
We gonna get to SOTN or nah?
Excellent video thank you!
I swear these videos are just excercises in alliteration
To be fair, this one seemed better. The two or three word groups seem less cringe than the longer ones.
I wonder how Netflix could possibly rework this with their series (potentially)
Underrated.
Can't wait for 4 years when the Netflix series covers this
already skipped all the way to Richter lol

Hey, got any plans on doing the BlazBlue series?
Hi, have you ever looked in to the Shin megami tensei series?
Oh the dam pochinko machine that is pretty ironic lol geeze
So the Netflix Castlevania took most of the designs from this huh. Interesting.
Not really...
This is the only Castlevania game that gives me JoJo's bizarre adventure vibes
Please do Tales of zestiria and berseria
Loved this one
Oh cod just imagine a fnaf recapitation
I played Castlevania 1234 maybe 5 but I never got the story!
I like your channel name
I'm sorry but doesn anyone else see the parallels between Curse Of Darkness and Devil May Cry?
Yes
Now the real question: Netflix, when are you adapting this?
Probably near Halloween as always.
March 2020! Though looking at the trailer and season 2 ending, it probably won't be the same plot with Hector
god I hope the series reaches order of ecclasia arc or at least add shanoa as a character
Luck same here, order of ecclesia is one of my favorite games in the series
I been waiting to reply this game for years.
Season 3?
MGS!!!!!
we need to crack the code and make rom hacks for curse of darkness!!!
Its funny how Issac in Curse of Darkness has the look of Diavolo, but in the Netflix series, he's Enrico Pucci.
trevor belmont got jobbed out? what bull shit is this
Saint Germain is just an obnoxious Netflix executive.
Is Issac gay?
Probably...?
