Thank you; this is useful to know. No idea why h264 is no longer available. My previous PC practically died and I had to upgrade to an SSD, and the newer versions of AE don't have the codec. I made a 15 minute video and only one third of the way through rendering the file was already 3.5gb when using 'QuickTime' output on 'animation' setting. I ended up using Media Encoder which made the entire video 300mb.

This helped me so much, all I was wanting AE for was an up-and-coming psychedelic video I'm going to make and I needed the turbulence effect and it will be helpful for other lucid dreaming (dreamy scenes). Thanks a million! I eneded up using the media encoder and that seems to work fine, It would never render because of a logged one problem or something on AE. Also, do you know if there's a way on AE to superimpose 2 video clips together? Subscribed!
