These wheels come into this market space very competitively, and I think it will give a lot of the other 6 spoke carbon brand wheels a run for there money because of how affordable these wheels are compared to the other brands out there. There is no one else out there that I know of that is close in this price for a name brand for this style of wheels.
At the end of the video I show the wheels installed on bike and also give a freehub sound check on bike and they sound MEAN!!!!!
I ride Elite wheels, basic ones, and they are fantastic! a little on the heavy side but lightened them up with TPUs. Great, affordable brand
Out of stock. Thanks for the convenience.
@@hoyhoy42They were not available for purchase until 11/24. I got mine right after midnight. The live rep told me there are 20 sets in stock and I'm the first to order. They're doing $209 off for Black Friday.
Your code can’t be use at all could you please let us know why?

I'm 200 plus lbs and still ride a SPIN tri spoke MTB that's 23 plus years old and still sings, still true, has never been serviced, ridden on rocky hard root trails, this design lasts, crazy durable.
Again, just cop the rear if you're a climber or extra weight conscious, a beautiful upgrade.
I had two sets of SPIN wheels in the 90s... The aluminum rim pulled away on one and I cracked a spoke on another. They're chunky AF, but they do sound awesome riding fast with those spokes making "womp" noises.
Being cheaper, I suspect the extra weight came from using more epoxy and the gloss finish could have contributed as well
Check out Yishun / LightCarbon 5spoke wheel though. 1300g 1100USD…just sayin‘
have their 5 spoke Version, honestly i can not feel the different compare with normal 24spoke wheel. but the sound when it going fast very satisfied me it like ride a windmill
Love the gloss on those wheels
I’m with you….I absolutely love love the look of the wheels….there sick bro….I might end up picking up a set…I actually don’t mind the little extra weight…lol
they ride so nice to, they feel so stiff under you and really respond well to putting down power and tasking off
I was under the impressing mag wheels like this are worse in crosswinds than spoked wheels. Looks sweet though. And I don’t mind weight on a tri bike. It’s all about aero and if the heavier wheels make them more durable, all the better.
I'm sure they are in cross wind scenarios.
I have the Black Inc 5 mag wheel and you can feel them in the crosswinds, more than my 55mm standard wheels.
Don't tell everyone about my new TPU tubes man. My secret weapon. 😎
Love them.
it is honestly aa game changer
Haha I still recall black inc selling these for 3k +
I wouldn't ride carbon spoked wheels on a road bike, but at 1k it's a steal.
I wonder if we'll see someone try to build Spinergy Rev-X wheels again.
Great looking wheel set!! Especially on the bike. I would like those on the TeamMachine Race R
I just want to know how much do they flex in climbs. I hope they are as stiff as they look, I hate to mess with my spokes.
Too good for a BMC!!! You can put them on a Dura Ace Canyon for $8k!
I'm about 3000km on ride now inner tubes no complaints.
yea it is weird, I have 3 sets of wheels no issues riding about twice a week putting in 80 miles a week, and no issues but then Ihave some people who run through 3 of them
Where would you put your speed sensor ???Love the sound of the freehub and they look great on the bike.
You don't need one. Modern GPS computers can determine speed quite accurately.
yea I just realized that today when I wanted to put mine on, I guess for right now just computer only
@@GCPerformance18 might be ok with strong double-sided tape. I have the wahoo BT speed sensor that wraps around the hub.
@@_MrSnrubgps is good enough for avg speed, but if you want to know your exact max or accurate speed on a segment, or at least avoid “300 km/h” bits after tunnels, no way around a separate speed sensor
Elite offers a three year warranty on their wheels. If the wheels go out of true, you should be good.
Thanks for the review! I noticed they are very flimsy laterally.....I mean, the spoke ls meet the hub at a 90-degree angle. Does your front wheel speed wobble if you take your hands off the bars?
it does not speed wobble but yes I know what ytou are talking about, with the wheel just sitting there and you put pressure on the wheel left to right there is a good amount of movement almost to where you can see it touch the frame
Another great review!! Thank you!!
Glad you liked it!
i was saving up for bi turbo areas but might get this instead, thanks!
not very interested in the wheels but I clicked on notheless because of that sweet sweet looking frame (it's the exact same on I have 😎)
Hi sir Can you lock more mile on climbs also, how this thing climb compare to big brands deeper wheels like 60mm or 65mm.
I do not have climbs in my area but i have been riding the bike on the flats and they are meant ot be an aero wheel with a 50mm depth and they do just that they hold speed very well
At the end during the sound check was it even true or just unbalanced?
My Pirelli tires are insanely out of balance. Likely the problem there.
If these are "road" wheels, then why are they so shallow depth? I have a trispoke like this that is 69mm deep, with 6 spokes you could double that and get 138mm depth rim
I mean at that point why not just run a disc wheel. Your already going to be getting blown around in a cross wind.
Very smart wheels, great price!
I was so hyped first seeing them on facebook. But having ridden some 13xxg chinese wheels at 50mms, this at 1650 is just unbearable.
DAYUM, Fred!! Amazing wheels.
If I wanted max aero I'd rather go for a 3 spoke with deeper profiles. Reducing crosswind instability... I call cap. And these kinds of designs will never be lighter than regular carbon spokes. Just not how it works
It looks cool as fuck tho
Great price, great wheels if you're looking for extra boost plus stiffness, obviously aero, possibly just cop the rear if you're mostly into climbing, companies serious about moving some innovative product, 🫡 salute!
Nice review. But, it sounds horrible...like a bloody siren! Is it possible to grease the pawls in order to quite them down?
I love this sound
That piece of bubblegum from 1977 rotten on the table is a nice touch to illustrate the point that those wheels with a loose piece of whatever it is inside is absolutely a DEATH TRAP!
How do these compare to a set of Skyways? 🤣
Are these supposed to be more aero than normal spokes?, I know trispoke wheels are but I'm not so sure about these, they look cool though. Those pink tpu tubes look like weiner casings or something.
Yes they are suppose to be more aero
They must be illegal for road racing? For TT's & Tri's the rear makes less sense over a disc unless they bring out a deeper rear for Kona & other disc illegal events. Even the front depth may be better with 60mm plus rim option for most TTing days. For a non racing wheel they must be on the stiffer side comfort wise for longer rides etc. These kind of wheels are OK mtb wise as you have the Suspension but non racing road riding may be one to look look or shorter coffee shop rides. They do look cool though.
yes I think they are, I think these are not uci
The gravel version is lighter and has a more modern specification. These should be minimum 30mm outer and a 23mm inner. Weight is disappointing too. Pity as I would’ve ordered a set.
They are more aero than anything. They have 50mm the internal width is more then enough for road. They are extremely stiff wheels and feel amazing for riding on the road
A little heavy, if only they could compare the black inc fives down to 1300-1400 grams
Are 6 spoke wheels faster than normal wire spoked wheels?
It’s not said for that. But they claim to be more aero because of less drag of so many spokes
SRAM Force on this bike would look so good!
Can I ride gravel on these? Would look sweet on my Vitus Venon
hahahhaha
scream Fred!
How can anyone put "only" in-front of a bike product over $1000. Some people on this planet are obviously immune to the cost of living.
This price applies to the relevance of what it’s priced at. When every other wheel out there is way over $1000 then relatively speaking they are cheap
Will u be reviewing it after riding?
I have been riding them for a while, they are super nice and aero I am going to log more miles before I say anything about them but for right now I am enjoying them
@@GCPerformance18 Did you follow-up on these? I'd be super interested to know about the lateral stiffness and performance in climbs
very nice
can you try putting it on the new Teammachine R?
I dont have the bike yett
Damn. No Campagnolo freehub option.
In the video it is mentioned that the hubs use the now-generic DT Swiss design - chances are the original DT freehub would fit
they just updated the campag freehub version on their website
Still no review on this?
I have been riding them but no, no follow up, they are greatttt wheels but very very stiff
Nice!
Rim width? People want too know
It's not accurate to characterize weight and stiffness as "min-max" problems. Minimum weight and maximum stiffness are not the right answers. Both are "optimization" problems.
That BMC with those wheels 🤤 🤤🤤
It will cost $10k with ULTEGRA lol 😂😂😂
Me: I broke a spoke
Elite wheels: that'll be $1300
hahahha how the hell yo break a spoke
Wagon wheels
@peaktorque should test these.
Love how the Chinese brand’s price point are crashing the market with affordable price point. Straight up telling consumers that its all about branding and overprice marketing
13:57 holy shi-
Hot price
But they need balancing.
As someone who loves riding fast downhills - what’s the practical point of balancing? Esp considering it must be done everytime after installing tyres, as they change the balance anyway
F TPU, go latex. Latex is a much better experience
😏
Thats a straight up copy paste job of the Bike Ahead Biturbo Aero wheelset. These chinese carbon companies are absolutely shameless
Hire a lawyer and sue them. 😂 I have two pairs of Chinese carbon wheels. Am I going to win any races with them? Nope!! Does my bike look amazing on the Saturday bike ride... Oh!! Yeah!!!
Don’t see any issue there when you can get it cheaper and not over priced wheelset.
This has a higher weight limit than bikr ahead and this is heavier
A wheel is a wheel, there are only a certain amount of designs you can make.
@@lcisso8584the issue is that copycats disincentivise original design manufacturers from innovating further. The “overprice” is partly due to the product development cost - which comes for free to those who merely copy and then put competing product on the market for cheaper. At the expense of the originator. But as a consumer you shouldn’t be bothered :)
Mount them up if you want to completely destroy your back what's left of it and when they rattle all your teeth out it might improve your looks. LOL Just kidding...not really. Good Luck!!
did a ride yesterday on them, they are stiff but nothing a 28 tire cant fix
@@GCPerformance18with 21 int / 28 ext rim width you’d be pushing your aerodynamic luck with 28 mm tyres though - breaking the 105 % rule. Considering that aero is supposed to be the main selling point, apart from the looks...
Too noisy!
When i see the bad quality of the lacquer and carbon fitting , i hope users haven't take rendez-vous with neurosurgeon. Take a good insurance in your oriental country.🤭
Clean this table! It looks disgusting!😂😂😂😂
What a fu………. Those wheels have visible voids all over and he dares to show the voids and still recommends them!!!!! WAF!!!!!!!! This is murder!
