Generation in world of darkness is a meassure of how strong the vampire is its how far you are removed from the first vampire. If you get embraced by a 7th gen vamp you become 8th gen the blood getting weaker each generation. Thus the lower the generation the stronger the vampire. in modern times the generations have gone far enough from the first vampires that basically the last generation was reached (forgot the number) wich is so weak they cant create vampires themselves. This is a sign of vampire endtimes wich if i remember corectly has the 3rd gen vampires the founders of the original clans come back to drink the blood of their descendants Edit: got the generation of the clan founders wrong
As a 4th Gen, Maatkare is the childe of Set himself [unless you believe the Serpents that Set was either 2nd gen or even gave Caine his powers...], and the most powerful a Vampire can get in WoD and still have Stats. If you know Vampire: The Requiem better than Masquerade, Generation 4 = Blood Potency 10 [Maatkare would be a BP 10 Mekhet]

Their blood expenditures [except for waking up I think] were all doubled and they took Lethal instead of aggravated damage from sunlight. 14th Gen just had doubled Vitae costs. Both were flaws restricted to 13th generation characters.
Personally, I suggest maxing out the intrigue line. I played in vanilla CK3 as a HRE Emperor, had maxed out the intrigue line that makes it so my dread doesn’t decay, i executed a few people and got to 100 permanent dread, that emperor had no one dare to kill him, he had no one dare to fight against him. If you max out intrigue on a literally immortal character, you can easily just stay in power literally forever, seeing as you can stay at a permanent 100 dread and upset vassals are really the only way you could get killed.

Tremere is spoken as - Tre Meer Vampires are hyper Ambitious, just fyi being content just isnt really their way. Blood Bonds - You feed them your blood and it simply put ( Though there is more to it ) you make them love you becoming super loyal to you and allowing you to tell em almost anything and they will likely be happy to do it. Whats more is feeding your blood to a mortal turns them into a ghoul who serves you and they become immortal so long as you keep feeding them your blood regularly and gain some vampiric powers of their own. Finding mortals would be so you can feed from them. Sea of Shadows is a empire ruled by the Lasombra, led by Montano the first childe of the founder of the Lasombra Clan, so yes very big and powerful. As a 4th Generation you are the childe of a Clan Founder in translation your effectively an unliving god whos power is terrifying to behold. Any Childe you embrace would be of the 5th Generation. The best way to play anything Vampire the masquerade / World of Darkness related is Roleplay it. Feel free to ask me regarding any and all questions you got, especially regarding lore or if your interested in playing the actual Table Top.

Absolutely fantastic setting with very well established lore as you can see. Everything supernatural exists so if vampires aren't your thing you can easily find one of the others.
Find mortals is used to get some yummy blood bags so hunger decreases. And Summon is used to get specific non-landed people to join you (a different option to recruit/invite). Maybe mortals with great potential as a childer or ghoul, perhaps good vampires for your primogen or council
I might not be the a fan of the CK series, but a World of Darkness overhaul seems superb. If it seems good, I might even get the game and try it out myself.
Drinking other Vampires' blood is called Diablerie. Sethites are an independent clan, but they avoid it. Some clans are part of the Sabbath that do it all the time (either as an act of subordination/domination or pure brutality) and treat vampirism more like a blessing in disguise than a curse. Another side is Camarilla - clans looking for a kind of salvation and trying to keep their vampire nature in check and try to live their unending lives without making too many problems.
idk about the lore, but in the mod if you diablerize a vampire you have a chance to increase your powers, greater chance if the vampire was stronger than you. so coincidentally when I played Maatkare and unified Africa I ended up diablerizing something like 200 prisoners taken during my conquests :) it doesnt matter if everyone hates you if nobody can oppose you.
A generation is basiccally: how far removed from kain you are as vampire aka did kain make you a vampire , then you are first gen. if a first gen vampire made you vampire, you are 2nd gen the further removed from kain you are in lineage, the less powerful your vampire powers are there are ways around it and you can ascend to higher lineage levels, but as far as I remember, that involves killing a higher up and consuming his blood and some rituals, so likely a big : do not among vampires after all, that would lead to friction and wars, and that would violate the mascerade, aka keeping the fact that vampires rule under wraps) (that is what I got from enterelysium doing a bit of that mod back on CK2)
Didn’t one of Egypt’s Female pharaohs (Hatshepsut to be exact) also called/gave herself the name Maatkare? That just sparked into my mind when I saw it

Kainite is just the word for "vampire" used by vampires. Kain was cursed by God to be the first vampire. So all humans turned to vampires are kainites. That does not mean vampire are "related" as in brother sister. Just Sire and "offspring"
I love this mod but it was just too complicated to me. never quite understood all the parts of it. so I am a little hopeful Pravus will understand and explain it as he goes.

The clan founders are of 3rd generation. Now days the "thin blooded" are of 13th generation.
