Welcome everyone to this new CK3 campaign, where I am using a mod called The Once and Future King to play Arthur Pendragon. Trust me, this is a really cool introduction and I'm really into this! As a side note, please understand that I will read all comments as you'll be members of the round table. I may not get the pronunciation perfectly, so please provide phonetic guides down below for me to read. Also do note that language was quite different from any modern forms in the 800, so be forgiving in general! The mod list is in my video description.

Hey Surreal, I'm the author of the OAFK mod. Thanks for playing it! Even though I'm from Colombia, you don't know the joy it gives me that someone does the story of King Arthur (my favorite character and story and that I faithfully believe that if he existed, whatever the version) or recreate his story through this game and that in a certain way you can or do what he did or what he could not because of how he ended at the end, so I would take this series as a different timeline (from the famous saying if it were different from what happened in the story that we all know and that we still carry in our souls and hearts to remember him), or even better if your character was the reincarnation of King Arthur as his legend designed it to be that he will return to help his country when he needs it most. My Liege, long have there been Tales about my Ancestor, who is said to have once served the Legendary King Arthur in Camelot as a Knight of the Round Table. While he never achieved the fame and Glory of the likes of Sir Bedivere, Sir Lancelot or Sir Gawain, he remained ever steadfast and loyal to the one true King of Albion, even throughout the Rebellion of the treacherous Mordred and the Battle of Camlann. I firmly believe that your Claims of Connection to the Great King Arthur of Legend are true. I may not be one of the Legendary Knights of Old, but nonetheless, my Blade and Skills are yours and all your Descendants to command. I swear that I will always faithfully serve your Family with Honor, until my dying breath.
Thanks for the work you do to entertain. It’s unfortunate you lost your save on the other play through but the way you dealt with it was really classy. Keep up the good work my guy!
I recently started reding some Arthurian legends, and I found out that Mordred is the child of Arthur and Morgan la Fay but Arthur and Morgan are brother and sister...
In fate series, mordred was arthur's clone, a homunculus created by morgana la fay. But he will cause the downfall of king Arthur after his final battle at the battle of Camlann and his departure to Albion. I hope in this timeline, Mordred will become the new king and Arthur will die peacefully surrounded by his knights and queen.
Yeah in the myth Morgana basically casted a spell on Arthur so she could have a son with his paternal blood so she could use him as a royal pretender to seize the kingdom, because she couldn't challenge for the realm herself due her only sharing maternal blood with him, being his half sister.
My lord, you should see to it that your retinues have a sizeable contingent of longbows, the quality of these fine men will make a great edition to your army’s my lord.
My Liege and rightful king of Britannia, as your knight I will help you with unite the clans and reclaim your throne. Once you take your place, I hope you will grant my request. The writings speaks of an old divine artifact which received the blood of our lord Jesus, I propose a quest to find it, to find the Holy Grail!
During his time federating the Welsh tribes, Sir Athur met a low-born want-to-be knight. Despite his lack of wit, Percival had a noble heart and seemed enlightened by the grace. As Arthur intended the Round Table to gather any galant man who was deemed worthy for the quest of the Grail, wether from aristrocratic or popular extraction, he could not refuse Percival to pronounce his vows and becoming a true knight of Camelot. Percival's undoubtful dedication to his lord made him one of Arthur's most trusty councelor and friend.
To the surreal Arthur Pendragon, time and time again we hear of the internal power struggle the Catholics deal with every waking moment. Landed rulers always trying to exert control over bishoprics in their realm while the Pope demands obedience and suzerainty over his clergymen no matter where they are. Let our Insular Britons never fall into this trap. We have a chance to correct this mistake, while being the head of a religion and the head of all Britons is far too much task for any one man, perhaps a great compromise would be to make the clerical gender Women, and then appoint your wife(s) as the head of the religion and as bishops. I am certain this paradigm will give us great cohesion between Church and Realm.
Hail King Arthur, the once and future king. Fun fact he actually existed around 570 A.D, Arturus meaning Bear Pendragon, he was a Celtic King in what is now Wales and his tomb remains undiscovered to this day.

Perhaps it would be best to expand your power by pushing into Mercia and perhaps even south into Cornwall. Delaying in challenging your liege may prove advantageous as his son and heir would appear to a be a poor successor, thus giving you the opportunity and "proper" justification to claim what is rightfully yours.

Hey, I'm learning to play the game and I have a question. Why were you able to declare war to your King's son when your chaplian did not fabricate a claim? What was the casus belli and how did you get it? Thanks!
I know this is jumping the gun a bit but I think it would be pretty cool if for once Mordred was not depicted as a Pure Evil psychopath monster and depicted as someone more inherently human with real Ambitions and dreams for Britain's future. Just a thought for the roleplay campaigns potential future
My dear king, I come from the northern kingdom of Strathclyde to lay my blade before you. Only you can rebuild what once was, and bring peace to a land ravaged by war. While the christian faith brings many allies, they falter in their understanding of the greater powers that those of our land are gifted with. Magick runs in our veins, and while you may lack a Merlin in these times now, we must search for such a person of his power to gain a great advantage over those who wish us in ruin. your chosen wife holds this power in her veins, and we must foster this power however we can.. You are the once and future king, and we must fight for that future at all costs. Yours, Kierian Letourneau (Key-ree-in Leh-Turn-Oh)
"Go ye therefore and teach all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." Matthew 28:19 KJV That is I think the perfect versr for this campaign.
Well at least it's historically-ish accurate due to how arthur would have been alive during the norse invasion of the British Isles although if you DO have an artifact for the Character like the sword Excalibur it would be instead be called caliburn
to the great future king Arthur, I am but a humble captain within the rank an file of your gallant and brave soldiers but i pray that my liege will heed my words. Great and noble lord of the pendragon house you are surrounded on all sides by enemies on the mainland of England and as such allies abroad may be the only insurance for a prosperous wales! I beg the my lord seek closer ties with the Irish and together you may yet weather the coming storm.
See what I did was make Arthur a Welsh Pagan. And used what I *think* is the older version of his name 'Artos'. I have so far taken over all of Wales in my way to be take over all of Britannia. To make this Artos I used the Ruler creator of course - 100 in all traits and evey beneficial trait. So far I'm 108 years old and still leading armies and leading wars, and wrestling matches! I have formed a divergent culture from Welsh called Cymry, the original Welsh name. And once I take over another Holy Site I'm going to reform paganism to make it more aligned with the myth.

My name is Gwyrlon, a traveling knight in seek of a court to call my home. I have only recently earned my spurs, but I am eager and willing to serve and prove myself an asset. If you will have me, my sword and my life will be yours to command.
If I may offer some advice, the lands across the sea to the west are divided and ripe for the taking. While not a vital part of your Kingdom, they may offer a solid staging ground for further campaigns on the isle of Albion itself.
Yours truly,
Gwyrlon
Im hype af for this series but the music is a bit too loud when declaring or ending a war.
Once I get CK3, I'll probably start with this run. Arthurian Legends all the way. The Lord be with House Pendragon.
Greetings my lord i maybe a Lowborn in Devon but many of us here wish to be one day a knight of houes Pendragon
This is a big table, my lord.
My Future King
With all respect I believe after reconquering England and Ireland and recreating Brittania for absolute control over Briton Channel You or Your descendans should conquer Brattany Normady and Flanders .
And also invest in your country after it became Kingdom
Your humble subject Alexander
Great video as always love from Thailand ❤️
The king Arthur of old was a wise and just ruler.
'Tis an honor to join your table, my True and Future King. While I have my reservations towards your taking a witch to bride, it is overdone by your fellow faith. Under your pious leadership there is yet hope for a unified Kingdom of Gymru!
Excuse me, but so who could go play as Roman Leaders, all in all, within Imperator Rome Version 2.0 onto their own TH-cam Channels asap, please?
Arthur was actually from Cornwall
I've been running an Arthorius save at the moment. Nearly retaken the Isles and have been hanging on to Jerusalem for a few generations now. Arrhorius for Kingdom of heaven role-play
My lord, I believe it is time to proclaim your independence from your liege, if you are able to fight your way out, you may be able to form the Great Kingdom of Wales
0:41 Welp i hope you bought a Huge Huge Huge Table.
Cause it has to fit like 200 people Minimum per vid.
As a knight thats my first request !
From: Paulo Andrade Newly promoted Squire into knighthood
The descendent of King Arthur is married to the descendent of Merlin
Would like to point out that Scots are not descended from Anglo Saxons, we’re descended from Picts and Gaels
Surreal when he has not been at war for five seconds aggressive sweating
NICE!!!
Lead Camelot To Victory!!!
How didn't I not think of playing as King Arthur.... disappointed
After this King Arthur u could if it possible to do a 2020 version with a mod ( Don’t know if this is possible)
SEIBAAA!!! Dinner’s ready!!!
so can you change the laws which allow daughters to inherit, like in CK2?
You should have started in Cornwall, Tintagel down there is where King Arthur was suposedly born.
This is where the mod maker had him start. It wasn't my choice.
love how he said bretonia
Are we going to see Merlin and the lady of the lake
Time to become Bretwalda, King of Kings, of the lands of Bretonni.......... Britain!
Most of those who you are fighting have footmen... it would be nice to have some archers! :D
What mod are you using for the minor titles? Could you recommend didn't see it anywhere listed.
"Go ye therefore and teach all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." Matthew 28:19 KJV
That is I think the perfect versr for this campaign.
love your roleplay my dude its great never stop i swear my sword to the lord!
Well at least it's historically-ish accurate due to how arthur would have been alive during the norse invasion of the British Isles although if you DO have an artifact for the Character like the sword Excalibur it would be instead be called caliburn
How did he get King Arthur in Ferlyx? I have the mod but not the character.
Mighty Albion shall rise!
to the great future king Arthur,
I am but a humble captain within the rank an file of your gallant and brave soldiers but i pray that my liege will heed my words.
