Fantastic review of this tripod Charles. Definitely makes me want to invest in one of these. I think you have covered all areas of the tripod very well. I feel like you have answered any questions
Seen a few gear reviews and this was one of the best, informative, interesting and honest. I have different tripods and this really got me thinking! 👍🏻😃
Thanks Ian, I appreciate that! I spent a lot of time on this one doing extra b roll and editing and re recording, so I'm glad you enjoyed and found it informative 👍
This is the best video on this tripod where it's actually being used! I just got a new one from Ebay for $70 haha so pumped I have a vanguard Auctus 323ct that I've had for years and that thing is a beast!
Thanks for taking the time to create this video - love the location - I just bought a D500. the last of the Nikon old Guard so to speak. Now I'm in need of a tripod - Any thoughts on the Vanguard Alta GH-300T . Pistel Grip head. thanks - Jim Arkansas - USA 📸
Thanks for informative and honest review; I like the variety of heights and angles that this tripod has to offer. I’m really tempted to purchase this right now!
Fantastic review! I've been looking at new tripods to replace one of my older ones, definitely going to look into this one! Hope this video hits 100 views for you, really well done and thorough!
Cheers Jason, I filmed most of the b roll on my stills camera which is a z6 and used my daughter's d3300 for a couple where I needed my camera in shot 👍
Thanks for the review! I'm in two worlds about purchasing this tripod. For the price, a carbon fibre is within reach. The versatility of this one, though, is hard to get with teh carbon fiber tripods in the price range. Thanks. :)
I own this tripod and I sometimes shoot the stars, and for this purpose, it would be nice to point the main axe towards the celestial pole (it's possible to look and target the polaris through the main axe by removing the head base at the top) to keep constant frame while stars are moving in the sky, but it's not possible without shortening one leg : the angles are predefined (every 15° I think). Other than that, good tripod, it's even possible to make panoramic with seveal pictures by placing the main axe horizontaly and placing the objectif lens in the main axe to avoid parallax error. Cool stuf.
@@CraigNiesenPhotography none yet, I was slightly worried the sigma wouldn't autofocus but it's been flawless. I also use a f mount 24-70 f2.8 and a 70-200 f 2.8 for gigs And they have been flawless. The native z mount lenses are sharper though 👍
What tripod do you use, or do you prefer to hand hold? Let me know in the comments 👍

Thanks Kirsty! It's very versatile and suits me well, as you can see from my videos I like to try all different types of photography.

Thanks mark, took it out again today, great for macro.
Great first review Charles, nice work 👍
Cheers David! My first cut was 25 minutes long, so quite a lot had to go on the cutting room floor 😅
Thank you so much for an ACTUAL product review of a tripod with a camera on it. You sir, should be sent more gear to review.

Nice tripod. I really need to upgrade. I have a Vanguard but it’s years old. Must check this one out.
It's very versatile, and well built too 👍

Charles, very nice tripod review. Which Nikon Z camera are you shooting with, and is that Nikkor 105mm 2.8 Micro lens that I see?
Hey Craig, yep it's a Nikon z6 combined with a sigma 105mm using the ftz adapter.
@@CharlesPalmerPhotography nice. Have you had any issues adapting lenses?
