I just wanna tell you, this is probably the BEST tripod review I've watched and I have been researching them for a week now. IDK Why so many people review the tripod without SHOWING GEAR ON IT!! Like I wanna see how it works with a camera set up, I wanna see it in use. So many people just sit down and hold it or wobble it with their hands to show "sturdiness" and it's mind boggling. This is SO thorough and practical. Thank you!!!

I recently purchased this tripod. My last tripod was a Gitzo (not sure of model, but it had the horizontal arm like the VEO3t), it was expensive, heavier and not as well executed as this Vanguard. I’m really impressed with this tripod. The rotating center column is very well designed and engineered. The whole thing is solid too. It’s not light enough for long hikes and vacations - but it is portable and packable for short hikes and perfect for macro work. Superb concept. Thoroughly recommended.

Thanks for commenting! I am actually super impressed with this tripod do you have a recommendation for a more video focused head for it?

Nice review. I am looking at this particular tripod and it is in my wish list of items to purchase. I liked the thorough demonstration of it, particularly using the two cameras on it after articulating it out.

What is the min height? I don't understand why it never interests people. The min height with the center column down and legs spread as much so as the center column does not hit the floor.

I like the teaser for today's video in the Instagram page and I really like that this travel tripod can hold 2 cameras!

I am actually super impressed with this series! Both tripods were well thought out and have a really high quality feel to them. Its one of the better tripods I have but I think the newer tripod heads they just released are a better option than the the head the shipped with.

Why does everybody quote the extended height? What most photographers want to know is the height of the legs *without* the extension of the centre column.

Great point I will keep that in mind. This particular model though with the folding center column doesn’t allow you to remove the center column and replace it with a head. They do sell the legs with a different head system but this one seems attached.
      Again thanks for the advice!
