    Ahh the game we didn’t know how to play but we’d still dump a small fortune of quarters on each time we died just so we could see the next animation sequence. Anyone else remember this the same way I do? lol

    The level of detail blows me away! So glad there are people out there that love this kind of stuff and recreate it for us. If there was a technology collapse and I had to recreate any of this myself I'd be SO SCREWED! What an awesome replica, thanks for sharing!

    • @NERDmNERDf
      @NERDmNERDf 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To be fair, if there was a technology collapse, to where all our phones and computers were destroyed in some freak accident, and it was up to the public to create technology themselves, then I would think it would be a good 2 decades before we saw computers being somehow reversed engineered and recreated again from scratch for manufacturing. At most I think we would see game consoles like the super Nintendo being developed within 5 years of the crash.

    The art work in Dragon’s Lair always reminded me of the art work in the animated film Heavy Metal and it’s Magazine.

    The attention to deal on those mini machines is insane. I regret not buying their Street fighter 2 champion edition cab before it got sold out.

      That would be a cool little cabinet but I bet it would be hard to pull off combos on that little cab.

      @@IndieArcadeWave It had 2 USB ports in the back of it so you could use controllers.

    Holy crap. I'm not in to collecting anymore but that is awesome!!!!!! I'll never forget seeing that game in the arcade when it came out. I might be buying this one.

    The HDMI out is exactly what the Street Fighter 2 replica needed. I passed on that for this reason alone. If they make a TMNT one and more with theses features ; I may start collecting these.

      I feel like Street Fighter would be so hard on a little cab like that. HDMI would be a must on that. Good call.

    I loved this game back in the day! This one and Space Ace. Thanks for putting out this video as it brings back memories of when I would visit the local Arcade in 1983 as a 15 year old. And like you said, most games in the arcade were only 25 cents to play and this was 50 cents to play..ouch.

    I preordered mine back in September. Can't wait to get my mini cab. Great review. They have asteroids now. And are working on a 1942 cab.

    I would stand around and watch the older kids play this and Space Ace every trip to the arcade (after my 4 quarters were sunk on Galaga and Moon Patrol). This is truly an amazing passion piece. Would love to get it for my office desk.

    I absolutely love these guys. I have backed every project they've put on KS since I fell in love with their mini Tempest cabinet. I have Tempest, Centipede and Street Fighter 2 mini-cabs and never once has any of them ever crashed or frozen. I can't wait to get my hands on this preorder and man! Asteroids is out now too! Get it!
