This guy is a flat-out hero. Literally saving video games/consoles, so that people can appreciate them forever more.
I think the coolest thing about this guy, is that even though he stated he has an addiction of buying things; it seems like his real addiction/ passion, is to fix up old gaming consoles/PCs, and he has the goal of getting them in the hands of local gamers/ collectors in the community. Awesome stuff!! 😎🤘🎮
I know where that "antique pavilion" is, its in Edmonds WA, on the southern border close to shoreline WA. I've been there a fee times acouple years back, actually bought a HUGE Cleaver there (about 20 lbs) for $30, th thinks in great condition but about 80-100 years old easy.
Can't wait to go back now that I know about this booth 😬👍

Finds like this are part of the reason why the recent WATA/Heritage Auctions scandal are making vg collectors so upset. We KNOW there are many more copies of proclaimed "rare" titles. Finds like this will probably happen more and more in the future. Great vid MJR!

This is so cool. Who knows just how many guys like Jesse are out there with massive collections of stuff sitting around in storage units, basements, garages or outbuildings? I didn't even know some of that stuff even existed. The PC game boxes from Japan are really interesting.
I don’t think anything on the internet has ever made me this happy. My girlfriend asked me “what’s wrong?” multiple times in the past 20 minutes because of how loud she heard me exclaim from the next room. Great video, super fun channel!

WOW! This is one of the most insane collections I've ever seen! The box of Game and Watches, the multiple PVM monitors, all kinds of sealed products older than I am, one of the few times my jaw has dropped watching something.
I honestly love seeing people have these retro games and systems tucked away and slowly introducing them back into the wild! Keeps balance to the force.
I love that there’s still these hidden places and storage lots you can find all this amazing gear despite the age of it
Nice to see some MSX-stuff. The sound cartridge is indeed a wavetable sound chip. The same chip, more or less, can be found in several MSX Konami game cartridges.
Love to see him clean, repair and mod all these consoles, would be so cool

I loved all of the vintage towers and monitors. Whenever I've been lucky enough to find boxes of things like that, it's just hours of enjoyment looking through everything. I just loved watching this video and seeing everything so well loved but super clean and perfect, and carefully looked after!
Awesome video! Always cool to see rare games hidden away like this. I like what Jesse does with the Antique mall and repairing and testing everything. Would be cool to live in that area to actually see and buy stuff in person.
I understand the kid in candy store yesterday I went to one of the few retro game stores in my area and went to one I haven’t been to yet and they had everything I could imagine from new gen to stuff my dad had when he was a kid thank you for helping getting me into this and start my own collection
Ditto. I finally quit the COD scene. Found out thanks to this channel that the PS3 is awesome to collect for. I now have a nice collection going and am enjoying myself without stress nor over the top expenses.

@@chaospoet Hahhaha! God I love Sick Sad World. That would have been an amazing spin off of an already amazing spin off. I recently picked up the Daria complete series and have been rewatching it after several years. Still holds up very well.

Really great video and super cool that he personally repairs and make sure every system and game is in working order and condition. And that he sells his consoles with a bundled game. You can tell he isn't in it to make a quick buck but that he's passionate and truly cares. Awesome to see :)

This is why us older games prefer our games physical. You will never have the pride and joy like this with digital games and services nowadays
On steam, u can back up your game and store them for later use. I did that for my games on multiple USB drives. If anything happen, at least I have access to them.

@Drunk Squirrel I see where you coming from, but since not everybody is a Collector and/or Retro Gamer this is not right for every older gamer. I play games since the end of the 80s myself, but I dont care about most older games anymore. Also I dont collect.
At least I dont care about owning them, but I surely still love them old Mario Games and some other classics.
So it has been a few years since I prefer mostly digital games. But again, I understand where you come from.

my dad was a airline pilot and I got to buy lots of video games and hardware while traveling abroad with him 30 + years of collecting has gotten us lots of goodies

That's pretty neat. Seeing those commodore CRTs takes me back. I remember picking one up for $10 at a garage sale and using it from 2000-2009 for every console I picked up right until I got my first lcd tv

I never considered that buyers on ebay would try something like swapping out parts. Sellers beware.
A big problem is sellers selling blatantly bootleg games. My nephew made the mistake of buying three N64 games, and one of them he couldn't get working. He brought it to me, and I opened it up and discovered a very sloppily-soldered bootleg board inside. Lesson learned O_O (he did let me keep it though, in case I ever need the cover to place a real board into :))

I honestly could listen to Jessie talk for hours. Would love an unedited version of this. Hearing him speak about his travels and pickups.
I would feel conflicted about promoting the business of a professional reseller. Its guys like him who are making it harder and harder to find a deal.
I understand the sentiment, but honestly, there’s another way to look at it.
You and I aren’t likely to ever stumble across a sealed NIB Voodoo 2 or a NeoGeo CD console. It’s a numbers game, and the only time you’re going to win it is if you go out there regularly and come up empty 95% of the time. If we tried that a few times a year, chances are we wouldn’t find whatever it is we’re looking for. So what you want isn’t available - at any price.
At least here, the guy’s pounded the pavement and aggregated all the things he’s found. He’s not going to garage sales looking for _something,_ he’s looking for _anything._ Sometimes you come back with a golden N64 controller. Sometimes with a box full of Japanese Wii consoles.
And then there’s a little more value added by making sure it works, or tapping into reserves to fix up the ones in better condition with parts from ones that aren’t.
Yes, it raises the average price. And yes, you’re probably going to miss the $5 CIB GameBoy Advance carts. But you were probably going to miss it anyway. At least now you have a shot at it, if you want it, curated and verified, albeit at a fair-market price.
Honestly? I’ll take that option.
As a collector in Japan I can't help but to feel uncomfortable due to importers like this. It's cool to see it all in one place and I'm glad he repairs everything, but for us collectors in Japan the prices for some of this stuff has been climbing due to importers and exporters.

@@juanrounds couldn't the same be said for collectors in the west who complain about game prices rising to extremes over there? In this case prices are increasing over time because of a decrease in supply in the domestic market with increase in demand as the hobby remains somewhat popular and many people come back to it due to nostalgia. The criticism is due to the fact that I don't like people doing that, especially since many of the games that get exported can't even be played unless you speak Japanese. Games like Pokemon Green, Chrono Trigger, and the Mother series for example are popular to import and then throw on a shelf to collect dust as a display piece. It would be much better off in the collection of someone who could actually play it. You know how you're mad at scalpers for increasing the cost of games in your country? That's exactly what this is. There's a lot of flippers and it's making prices go up up up. I remember a few years back you could get Pokemon on Gameboy boxed for under $10, now those days are gone because the game isn't so common anymore.

Back in the day in Texas I used to work at Computer City and CompUSA after the buyout and everyone working there was a gamer. I remember all the software that came in big huge boxes and it was fun. One of my favorites was the big DOOM boxes from id software and Duke Nukem, Dark Forces etc. and of course all the classics. Publishers back then didn't fuck around when it came to details on looks, design and gameplay. I wished I kept all those boxes and PC's just so I can play with them today. I'd love to have a old PC just to play Doom and the classics with a mouse and keyboard. Great video! A++++++

All that PC Engine and PCE CD stuff! Ive imported a couple things including a PCE but holy crap lol. One of those boxes even in disrepair is thousands of dollars.. Some of my favorite stuff was more in Japan! PCE and Saturn especially. AND THE X86 PC PARTS AND GAMES!
