I used to play that when I was 15 , in the 90s. It would have been great to have youtube at that time and listen great performers as you are, to improve technics and get inspired
for me the most exciting execution of preludes 1 & 2 ever, absolutely better than Bream, Williams, Segovia. Total control, tremendous sense of dynamics and expression. Really deep inside of this poetry. If I could, i'd play classical guitar like Petrou! Sommo Maestro.
For me Nicholas has the best execution of prelude 1, however for prelude 2 I think Marcin Dylla performs it a bit better. In my book Nicholas also holds the best execution of complete La Catedral (especially the third allegro movement). His interpretation of 2.nd bagatelle is also stunning. Maybe it's just the power of the magical fleta 😁 Nicholas is one of the most underrated classical guitarists!

Very well played! Just realised that after listening to 3 version of this amazing piece my guitar teacher is right. Basically no classical guitarists have much sense of the being perfect with the actual rhythm. Like with a metronome speed. THat why I am now learning this piece again with a metronome this time its already sounding better.
