Thanks for the amazing tutorial, IT WAS STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. Out of all the the vids I have watched for some reason this one has helped me the most on my 73 caprice rear quarter. Salute
Very nice work. I did some work on a Ford Focus myself using Pick-A-Part and a thin layer of Bondo to help get the hood line to match the other side and it came out decent but the biggest problem was the paint. Without a professional paint booth and the professional paint and the skill I was left hanging the parts off a tree and buying 30 cans of color and clear coat. Even though it was the factory color code it's still didn't match but from a distance it looked pretty decent. For a salvage job I was able to keep the car and get 4500 I had to spend about 1,500.
was like the day my teacher wrote on my ro, great job professional grade with the timing of how long it took vs the job estimated time. some people have it, others dont its a skill.
There is guy on TH-cam who built a similar tool from scratch. It’s actually a pretty simple tool to make and works great. You can look him up, his channel name is Fix206
Hey Kyle, I’m 17 at the moment and really want to learn how to do autobody work as a career. I am a hard worker, but know next to nothing about working on cars. Do you know any steps I can take to learn, and maybe get an apprenticeship?
What helps me gain experience is to actually Work on the vehicle. Wether its yours or a customers, (who is okay with your current skill level) an juss WRENCH !. There are schools like Universal Technical Institute (U.T.I. in AZ) out there that you can attend. but hands on experience.. consistency, with a buncha patience! goes a long way. And obviously doing research B4 ! the repair/install on the current vehicle. So many jobs I've referenced videos here on the TUBE, prior to working on it. You get to see what tools the technician used & determine..if you have to eat Ramen to get that hub grappler, or 1000ftlb torque impact gun lol. Def invest in TOOLS tho. Repair videos are awesome, you can see exactly what tools the tech used and what parts you may need also.
That would be much more invasive. It would have to be spliced in two places and would have body filler in each splice anyway. This is a better repair overall.
The magic block of wood works every time
I like how you leave the little notes to say what sand paper you're using etc. Great video
