- iOS 18 is just a couple months away from being revealed by Apple. But there have been reliable rumors suggesting what features are likely to be included.
Starting with a new and improved Siri. Which will use generative AI to understand more complex questions and respond with more accurate and helpful answers.
This AI technology will also be used for auto-complete. So the device can finish your sentences more accurately and perhaps even learn your personal texting style.
Apple Music could create auto-generated playlists based on your own parameters. For example, making a playlist for a relaxing Sunday spring morning, or an energizing playlist for a fast-paced kickboxing class.
And these capabilities are likely to appear in iWork also. So you could tell Keynote to make a slide layout for three photos with a text caption beneath each. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี

Ok that’s nice, all that AI stuff .But also.. .set a MEMORY on the calculator app! Technicians like me need that! Also, make the NUMBERS ROW available on the keyboard. Also something CNC Technicians need!
I think they wouldn’t want to make the keyboard take up any more space which is why there’s a tab for numbers and symbols.

@@realquadmooThe thing is i deactivated all word recommendatios but i still cant have a fixed numer row. Apple keyboard just sucks when you come from android, its the biggest downside to iPhone imo. Also, all other keyboard apps i tested suck. Gboard for iPhone is trash compared to the stock android Gboard.
@@realquadmoo Ok I get the numbers row, it’s still annoying not to have the option of turning it on and off. And the memory thing, when I calculate something and then 10 min in my work I have to continue from that specific point, I can’t start there. I must write the answer down and then type it in and start from there, or, I have to do the whole thing all over again plus the new stuff I want to calculate. With programming thats very annoying.

I enjoy the standard reviewers for this sort of content, but having a simple and understandable narration makes it a whole lot more breathable. As someone who has switched from Android to iOS, I would like to see on a future update:
- Improved optimization for one-handed phone usage (opening the Control Center with one hand).
- Enhanced gestures (such as a universal back gesture on both sides of the screen).
- An improved keyboard + with a number row (similar to iPadOS).
- An improved Notification Center and management.
- More control on app display scalling
- More customization options (more apps on the home screen, adjustable app sizes and shapes).
- The ability to run shortcuts without it always opening the app itself.
- Transparent widget options.
- A flexible home screen (allowing placement of apps wherever you want).
- A better camera app with a well-organized UI without having to enter the Settings app or a separate Pro mode.
- Sideloading capabilities (similar to MacOS).
Shortcuts already don’t open the shortcuts app, they can run in the background.
@@Tr4ns1st0r Sorry, I wasn't specific enough. Unfortunately, the Shortcuts app still opens when the task was triggered by a third-party app such as Widgy.

I need them to add a damn clipboard, it was one of the weirdest things that I found to be missing especially since I own an iMac and a clipboard is there already.

I’m actually pretty excited for the Vision Pro inspired design. I remember when iOS 7 released, I didn’t like how they redesigned so many of the interfaces, but I think this is a big improvement. Combined with the new features, such as more options for the home screen and better messaging with Android users, I’m actually looking forward to this.
i miss 2000-2010 technology. nothing was too advanced but advanced enough for things to still be enjoyable. this world crumbling with everything

Finally getting a universal back gesture, a customizable keyboard or seperare volume controls. I'm not even asking for more.
All I want is to have the keyboard stay opened in chat apps. I cant understand why they keyboard is always i click away inside a chat app. You open a chat and always press the text box for the keyboard to pop up.

They should do something for the notches too in coming updates. Do not give every functionality of dynamic island but atleast give some basic features to it since apple should also care for its already customers

If the UI changes design, it'll be the first time in a long time that we actually get a design change in iOS. Hyped for it.
I really hope Siri will be better. Right now, it can't do more than listen to a question and if she understands gives an answer. A follow up is too complex apparently. Or opening one of the 3 links she is showing me.

Would really like to see a DEX-like mode when the iPhone is connected to an external monitor
my pet peeve is how the status bar once docked only shows time and date when fully slid down
in AM lyrics once the controls are docked I have to unsync lyrics to swipe them back up to show.
all i want is more audio options. like my bf’s android lets you adjust the audio for media and calls separately. if we’re on facetime (on snapchat ofc) he for example would be able to listen to music or watch a video while still being able to hear me. but on apple you either go deaf cuz you want to hear a video and have to turn your phone volume all the way up and then if he talks it’s at max volume, or you’re able to hear the call but not the video. very annoying

As a long time (all time actually) i switched to the iphone 14 just to try it out. I like that every app is optimized and works like a charm and the ui always feels smooth .However a few things are still bugging me… the keyboard feels slow for some reason, after almost 2 years i would’ve expect me to get used to it but i just can’t.😅 other thing is backgrounds. there is no nice background in my opinion and it just feels boring to choose a color.(im aware of custom backgrounds but i like stock backgrounds usually). And one other minor thing is when i end a phone call at the same time as the other person i accidentally call someone else because it just instantly goes away. On my samsung, oppo ,nokia and LG there would be a slight delay. Then i would like to see the settings sorted , little chaotic app that is. Overal i like it and i will stay at apple. also Since nokia isn’t making “high end” phones anymore and samsung shoves me the exynos chip instead of the advertised snapdragon.
Last year, after having first used a Windows Phone and then Android, I was convinced and decided to try an iPhone. All those explanatory videos, all the reviews, the marketing had convinced me. I got an iPhone 14, set everything up, got the hang of it, and considering I'm quite skilled in IT, the only thing I've realized from last year to now is that iOS is an outdated operating system, buggy, full of flaws, very slow, and things haven't changed for 10 years. The system apps are terrible, they force you to use the apps they want. I expected that the operating system, being made by Apple, would be better, but no, dear Lord, it's terribly buggy.
So, the only thing I hope for iOS 18 is a damn major bug fix.

I very much hope that Apple will add the iPhone XR and XS to iOS due to its overpopulation in 2018 when brand-new introduceced
They won’t add support for iPhones over 7 years, that has always been their policy. That ship has sailed.

Imagine if Apple raised the update policy like other manufacturers are doing with their Android devices.
I doubt this affects in sells for them since people already upgrade (some) even tho they offer 6/5 years of support for OS updates.

My favorite features of iOS 18 are the ones with the more accurate autocompletions, AI generations, and customizable routes on Apple Maps.
