The general public can not buy it at those prices. This deal was with a leasing company in NY for all the remaining vehicles (3231 vehicles) totaling about $46M.
If you read this comment Sam, please do a little more research before making your videos. Sure, it takes more time, but it's worth it in the long run - your videos will be more useful, and you will keep your viewers. Thanks.
If only that activist Delaware Judge had looked into the Fisker board of directors, a lot of investors may have been saved.
She was only against billionaires
Fisker 1.0 did the same thing
she's too greedy to care for others, only for her pocket
To bad some other company would not buy the company, They make some nice looking vehicles .
Alot of misinformation in this video. That price is not for the public. That's a package deal for one bulk buyer.
And misinformation on what the owners are in legal discussions about. Report responsibly instead of letting your innate dislike for something take you down a path of false information to suppport a jaded narrative. Credibility is key.
Well said. I am amazed at the amount of misinformation that passes on this channel…
I agree. But it doesn't change the fact that Fisker is baked. 😉
@@skylershank9309...so do your own channel...or are you afraid that people would flame your misinformations.
@ruisantos8291 I've pretty well given up on this guy. Errors/exaggerations on almost every video I've watched.
@@AlepooDutrea what misinformation are you referring to? I'm not afraid of facts. Are you if they don't align with your beliefs?
Wish they sold to the public at that price, we all would pick one up. Plus their inventory would be cleared out. One thing to note, if Fisker hands over the source code others could potentially hack the car .
That's not how it works...
$2500 for a 100kWh battery is a steal
If it were true sure
Someone needs to put together a kit to use the battery pack for solar storage and post a video of how to install it.
Geez. Imagine if you bought one for MSRP a few months ago.
You'd probably be happy driving it.
Sam, I live in Scotland. We have days when our solar doesn't generate a single bloody watt-hour.
Price in Ohio, USA Today: $34,999
Typical clickbait disinformation 😁
Those are top quality retail, not busted ones.
Combining the words fire and EVs in the same sentence is probably not the best way to market electric cars.
Following this channel saved me a bunch of money when I sold because of your reporting.
The drivetrain might be useful for an EV conversion
$2500 where I’m looking not finding for that price I will buy it right now
Typical clickbait disinformation 😁
Those are damaged ones. Who knows what condition.
There’s one in the auction in the UK new with 45 miles on the Clock. Been under the hammer twice with no bid. 😮
i didnt realize lawyers were that handy when it comes to repairing EVs. who woulda thought?!!
That's how we roll in the USA.
Buy a car but don’t drive it. Yes, that makes sense in the weird EV world of things.
Price in EU today 40.000,- Euro.

$33/kwhr or so.
@rockycata6078 how?

$2500 is cheaper than some sheds. I’ll get one to use for storage lol.
I mean for 2.500 I'd buy it just for the spare parts, to sell to others.

BEIJING (Reuters) - Several state-owned firms in China's financial hub of Shanghai have recently purchased Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA)'s best-selling Model Y as service cars, a local government statement said on Friday.
The purchase is an "active response" to the call for equal treatment of Chinese and foreign firms in government purchases, according to the investment promotion service centre of the Lingang Special Area, where Tesla's largest manufacturing hub is located.
A local media report on Thursday said Tesla cars had been made eligible for a Chinese local government purchase list.
It seems that the $2500 figure isn’t legit for the public but If it was why not have a punt at one. It’s a new EV with minimal wear. You’re not going to need parts for quite a long time. The issues with these were mainly software and I’m sure some computer geeks could improve that. Scrap it and sell the battery for solar in worst case scenario but try to use it first. After all there are Fisker Karma groups and specialists keeping a few of those on the road and it’s around 10 years ago they went bust the first time!
Challenge accepted... pretty sure I could empty those giant batteries with a 10 kw array in my old heat pump heated house in the middle of january... Solar production from a stationary array drops to some pretty low numbers for 5-10 weeks at my latitude. and this 135 year big ole house used to consume a small forest of wood to keep heated, back when it was built.
If there were enough sales, the suppliers (Magna, Foxconn, etc.) would make a tidy profit selling the parts.
Buy for the battery, configure it for energy storage haha
I’ve already seen this at a used car dealer in Costa Mesa, California, lots of Fisker vehicles in the front row. The name of the place is called. TESLOT
Who/where are these being sold at fire sale prices in the US?
@@hardi.howdy.983 Maybe you should watch it again. And pay attention this time.
Thanks for sharing, it is a good off grid battery
Fantastic successful story into investing into EV tech. Along with Hiphi and others
The tech was fine, the business plan sucked.
With that price it’s the only way you would get me in one of those disposable…things.😂
Do you prefer disposable ice vehicles?
@@chrisward5626 ICE cars by their engineering are not disposable…well…maybe except for Italian ones!🤣 Oh…I’m an engineer and I will never own an EV.
@@kallekas8551 that’s complete rubbish . All cars are disposable that’s why the junk yards are full of them . Not sure why you think there is any difference between a ev car and a ice car for being repaired or disposed of . You just sound like another anti ev hero . What’s next no soul or some crap 🤦♂️
@@kallekas8551 I'm an engineer from Detroit and I've been waiting years for EVs!
@@chrisward5626 My summer driver is 50 years old and hasn't lost any range. How's the 'Fisker' going to run at that age? The only EVs in 50 years will be in museums.
Fisher creditors can still move to block Fisker from giving away their cars for these crazy low prices.....
Someone could develop a taxi or transportation service based on these vehicles. With no parts available, it would be important to have someone who knows the car inside out and could rig up repairs from cannibalized cars or using parts from other EVs. Maybe this could become an "open source " software EV with contributors volunteering their time (yes, industry people will do this because they can take back what they learn and put it into their own cars).
Where can I buy one for that price?
Just get for the battery and use it for home backup.
Lowest I'm seeing in SoCal is in the $24k range.
this number if false. There is a deal to sell them to a company at this cost. No option for the public
He clickbaited with the title on this one. I thought he was above that.
@@K9Trixx
He's getting like that a lot lately, with clickbait thumbnails.
i wonder if Fisker has a stock of battery pacts that have not been installed and are available for purchase?
At least they can ride them until they hit problems. Some owners apparently don't have problems preventing them to ride and like their car.
Good luck transforming the Fisker car battery into a safe battery storage unit for your home. Permit? Unlikely. Connecting to the grid? Utility will not likely allow it. Fire? Good luck collecting on insurance when they figure out it was an unpermitted Fisker battery.
12,500 USD is about retail for 100 kWh of LiFePO4 battery cells, in the form of 74-280 Ah prismatic cells. Shipping of a Fisker car is probably on par with shipping for 1,000+ pounds of batteries. The parts value of the parts would be significant though I would just buy the cells I want and avoid making a big project out of what is really a modest project. A 13kWh battery bank, 280Ah cells x 48 volts IS a minor project. I suggest enlisting the help of someone with machine tools to make the cell clamping plates and a sheet steel enclosure for the system.
Current prices must reflect actual costs to build....
Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) stock rose 1.8% with several state-owned firms in China's financial hub of Shanghai having recently purchased the EV manufacturer's best-selling Model Y as service cars, following a local media report saying Tesla cars had been made eligible for a Chinese local government purchase list.
Can Fisker go open source?
They cost more like 26k used to the public
Fisker is my dream car .. he better try a third time I want one
This is exactly the risk of buying an EV that is not a Tesla or BYD, these are the only companies that the risk of not being here 10 years from now is very low.
Just Tesla or BYD?
To disregard the EVs from some of the others like BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, Toyota, Hyundai, etc shows your limited perspective.

@@hardi.howdy.983Like it or not, who is the pioneer on EV’s right now?
Yeah, you got it, see, you don’t have to be too smart to make the right decision to buy an EV with the least amount of risk of getting a lemon car.

How about right to repair. Make sourcecode public. Maybe Fisker could be a good donor car for building an E
hot rod.
How do you buy one?
If it does have fsd capabilities I don’t want it!!!!
The $2500 ones are probably don't work, besides that they are spending over $$14,000 average and $46,000,000 total for cars that can't be serviced
American Lease loans out cars to drivers for taxis, limos and ride share programs in NYC.
Put the battery on the Model Y.
Oh dear Electric Viking your recherche usually is better then that. Fisker's subcontracted the engineering, development and manufacturing to Magna's Austrian engineering and manufacturing organisation leaving Fiskers with styling ,marketing and sales. In the Fisker/Magna contrat terms and conditions would have been agreed amongst others on the handling of manufacturing defect claims, spare part availability and pricing and also software updates. So Fisker owners need to be around the table at the liquidation hearing to ensure that Magna for fills those parts of the agreement them.
It's a great pity as they are great looking cars. Agreed they should be worth a lot by 2060.
Another one gone. Good stuff. Eat the rich, there is no cake.
Right, A $2,5K EV that will surely turn into driveway paperweight in a few years!.....😅😅
Get one to drive, get a second one for spare parts.
Without parts you have a very expensive paperweight.
Sam.
Where are these electricians and or components in Australia? I bought your old Chinese EV but have not been able to find anyone that has any knowledge about connecting it to a house or the grid or to another EV
I buy one but where can i buy one for 3k-5k?
Minimum Liability only insurance might not be expensive but a huge risk for owners
I never buy collision, seldom comprehensive. Always used cars. So far I'm WAY ahead.
There are v8 swaps for the Karma
Businesses are in business to make money. Therefore and with the current trend of discounts on EVs everywhere, I wonder about the sustainability of manufacturing EVs. Fisker may not be the only EV manufacturer to go bankrupt, others will just scale-down their EV manufacturing.
34k at texas
Isn't this OVERCAPACITY of their cars, anti-dumping ?? lol
Good plan Sam

Just demonstrates what a rip-off home batteries are.
a 10kw home battery should only cost around $3k
$2500! That is a very expensive yard ornament. Pay back from when Fisker worked for Tesla. Left them with a rubbish design and stole all their trade secrets.
yea tough one mate
If I recall correctly This guy has pulled this scam at least twice before starting a big $$$ company and then bankrupting it while draining huge money for himself
House battery on wheela
Where do we go to buy these? Ev tech is not rocket science.
Fisker has bowed out and I expect other EV manufacturers will follow in their path. It’s a rough game. Once the blood has dried the only survivors will probably be just Tesla and BYD. Not much choice if you’re hunting around for an EV that’s a bit different from the current mundane line up.
The year 2650...😂😂
I said it and I say it again. The cars look cool. And their product roadmap is not bad. Wish someone would pick up those designs and release them.
Yeah, you are not just buying a car, you are buying into a company, dealerships, standards, parts, services, documentation, knowledge... very brave whoever buys a new model from new manufacturer and pays that kind of money. If you are that brave, you should just building a EV kit car from scratch on a dead ICE donor.
Stellantis should pick up Fisker off bankruptcy. They can adapt their software that they use on their small number of electric cars and they will get a car factory that specializes in manufacturing EVs. With a minimal cost they can have all of Fisker and then they can figure out how to reduce its costs. Stellantis will be able to get in the game for nearly nothing. Like Tesla did with the Toyota/GM factory in Fremont, only with all the EV stuff already in it.
Fisker doesn't have ANY manufacturing equipment. They contracted with magna steir (misspelled) for the manufacturing of the car.
Pretty much the only asset of fisker is intellectual 🎉property... which is pretty much worthless.
Buy and be left with a unrepairable hunk of junk!
Move on. Thanks for watching!!!😂😂😂
a cautionary tale for anyone buying an EV from any new manufacturer

The reason Fisker going bankrupt because they Manufacture the EV in USA where the salary cost very high and the energy price is very expensive. Even Tesla decided to build Giga Factory in Shanghai just to compete against Chinese EV makers.
