      Thank you! I appreciate the positive feedback! I love our Peloton Bike, but I also love road biking outside! However, Peloton really does have something to offer road cyclists. Please consider liking & subscribing if you haven't already. I am really trying to grow this channel to the critical 1,000 subscriber mark and beyond!

    The easiest way to use a peloton or for that matter any bike with Zwift is to put some pedals on that measure power. For example the Garmin Vector 3S. The advantage of that is you could use the pedals indoors and outdoors. Unfortunately the first generation Peloton bike power measurement is not very accurate. The new Bike+ has a much more accurate power meter.

      Great idea! I had thought that might be the way to go, but I hadn't done it yet. I would REALLY love to get Swift going on the Peloton Bike over the winter. Have you done it? I have version 2 of the peloton, do you know if it has the power meter from the 1st bike or is it better? Thank you!

    As a previous Spinning Instruction, the only issue I have with it is that you're spending between $2,500 and $3,000 for a stationary bike and then being charged $39 a month (almost $500 a year) for a membership, which is basically a gym membership, but none of the overhead and a far greater out reach. I honestly don't understand why this price is where it is, but is definitely the biggest "con" in my opinion. I get that it's basically just over $1 a day, but at the same time if you're paying 8-12x the amount of an average stationary bike, the $500 "fee" to ride it really stings.

      The bike has other classes. It's not just riding a bike. Is it expensive? Sure. For me personally I think it's worth it. My wife and I use it so it's really $20 a month for each of us. The equipment is expensive, but good quality. Constant updates, constant additions. Music, leaderboards, everything you do is tracked etc.

    what about the performance on the road, real question is did it get better after incorporating the peloton in your training?

      Great question! I should have addressed performance changes in the video. I did see performance improvements in my road cycling once I started doing the Peloton "Power Zone" rides.

    Peloton con! Everything you used to do outdoors but now sadly do it indoors! What’s even better is someone has removed a much better outdoor exercise and charged you for it! Lol!

      Well, I'm going to disagree with that. I rode about 1,300 miles outside in 2020, and only rode about 300 on the Peloton indoors. My wife and I use the Peloton to help us exercise on days that we would stay in, like today. It is very cold and snowy / rainy. We could exercise outdoors today, but that weather sure makes it easy to skip. I also like having indoor options when the days are short, or when it is heat stroke weather! Peloton is no con, we have had it for about 3 years total now, and love it now as much as ever.

      So go do it outside lol. Let other people enjoy this indoor exercise. Salty.

    So its expensive to buy the thing and then you have to pay to use it after? Wtf?

    • @HodgeHub
      @HodgeHub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. That pretty much sums up Peloton! :-) I like it, but I think that it is way too expensive.
