You know how much it would have cost Throne to resolve this situation with the customer and no one would have heard a thing about it? About $300. If it was truly an accident, just buy him a comparable Chronicles Witt 1/1 off ebay for $300-400 (there are multiple), ship it to him, and the whole situation is resolved. All I see is compounding mistakes. Customer doesn't get card (mistake 1), breaker response is awful (mistake 2), breaker attacks customer and does a horrible PR job to save reputation (mistake 3). Telling the customer to go through the bureaucracy of Whatnot's return/missing card process is an incredibly poor customer experience. "This is my mistake, but they'll fix it" might cut it when a $5 card goes missing, but when a $100+ card goes missing, you gotta make some common sense decisions with the end result of making the customer feel whole.

Scammer thief. Here is the simple psychology about being accused of theft. Someone who is NOT a thief will do everything in their power to go above and beyond to right the situation. This often results in over replacement. Thieves deflect. Their dishonesty runs so deep in their mind that stealing is rational behavior. That means lying is a natural effortless response. On a side note, teach your children to be honest, and they’ll never become thieves.
This is exactly what I think Jabs family is doing. If there's a card that he really likes he'll just refund the buyer their money back and he gets to keep the card. It's essentially a free buy-in. Get to see what you're getting before you decide the purchases. People buy your own wax.
Whatnot has some of the worst breakers. I bought into a random break from “hookedoncards” for $22 and got a couple base rated rookies and a rated rookie holo. The cards came with the top right corner wrecked because it was shipped in penny sleeves and a team bag. This was my first ever transaction on Whatnot so I didn’t know who to contact. I went on Hookedoncards live stream and asked “Who do I contact for damaged cards because it was shipped in a penny sleeve and bubble mailer?”. The breaker said to the chat, “Can somebody show this guy the door? I’m not going to top load your base cards. It costs me $0.20 per top loader. Go take it up with Whatnot”. I told him that it wasn’t only base cards and I paid $22 for the break + $4 shipping so that should cover the top loader. He said that Whatnot gets that $4 so go take it up with them and get a new hobby or break with someone else if I’m going to complain about base cards and blocked me. He could’ve just directed me to Whatnot without all the extra remarks. Trash
You can record by pushing the three dots closer to top on the left side of the screen. It will then give you the option to record. For how long I’m not sure, but probably as much storage space that is on your phone.
When Blez was on Whatnot, I pointed out their prices made absolutely no sense. Forgot specifics, but basically Pick 2, choose 1 was like $55. Pick 3, choose 2 was like $130. When I asked, why wouldn't you just choose pick 2, choose 1 twice for $10 cheaper than pick 3, choose 2? I got blocked for pointing out simple math. That's probably why they have a hard time understanding math.
I tried Whatnot one time. The breaker kept yelling hobby boxes and had 3 Prizm 2021 Hobby boxes he kept pointing at while he was getting people to bid on the teams. Once he started the break he removed the Prizm Hobby and proceeded to open other Hobby boxes of much cheaper sets. I deleted Whatnot immediately and complained to them, nothing was done.

I have found missing cards and been able to prove the card was pulled, but I have been wrong to, thinking I pulled a certain auto and I didn't.
I'm sure if Blez ordered an 8 Ball from his dealer but only got a gram he'd say still say 'I, the customer am in the wrong' for not getting what he was supposed to receive
Over $3K in breaks I bought from the backyard. Seemingly every unnumbered hit came with a flaw. NEVER I REPEAT NEVER break with the big guys. They have tons of defective cards on hand to swap with the one you pulled. NEVER AGAIN will I buy a break.
I might get shit for this but I don’t care. I’ve been watching Backyard Breaks for about 6 months damn near every day and from my own experience they’re awesome. They are some of the most generous,positive,and friendly guys. I know the whole story about the TLaw and it was mishandled by those guys but everyone screws up especially a couple of young guys who haven’t realized the impact that decision could have on their business. The business which has grown into an absolute Juggernaut in the hobby. That stupid decision almost shut the whole show down. They survived it though and now they’re booming. I was skeptical about them at first but after taking the time to give them a chance and looking into them myself I have no shame in supporting Backyard Breaks. Some of the coolest guys in the hobby. I feel like 80% of the people who hate on BB haven’t ever watched a show or joined a break and are only critical of them because of that TLaw situation and that’s bullshit. They made a poor decision and they got plenty of negative feedback. It’s amazing because that one bad decision is all you ever hear about but these guys give away boxes and free teams all day every day and pull cards daily that change lives and no one says anything about the positive influences. Nah,they just wanna drag that rain cloud around forever and shout from the rooftops about how bad these guys are when that’s just not true. If you’ve never spent any time watching the streams then I suggest breaking away from the other sheep and checking them out. There’s no way anyone who loves the hobby can give them a fair shot and not enjoy the content they provide. If you don’t like one breaker then wait and watch the next guy or gal. They’ve got so many different personalities over there that you’re gonna like at least one of them and they break the best boxes. No high dollar low reward retail breaks. The latest and greatest boxes ripped all day everyday. Get over the TLaw shit and give those guys a fair shake. Call me a fanboy if it makes you feel better. I’m ok with it. I’ve watched those guys enough to be able to form an honest unbiased opinion on them and I’d recommend them to anyone and I don’t give a damn what anyone thinks about that.

I did a break with blez back in 2017 and they shipped my card to a wrong customer. It was a John collins auto cracked ice. They’re excuse was they thought it was Zach collins and shipped to blazers team break

Most importantly the 1/1. If we know the serial number on the cards of the other customers, it will prevent this clown from ever circulating the cards he is stealing.
These Influencers are so cringe. They have absolutely no longevity when it comes to the hobby and once the next big thing comes along they will all be gone. There has aways been scamming when it comes to cards but now these bozos have bigger platforms to do so, and hide behind.
Blez is a strange dude, agree with some others in the comments that the dude may be a bit slow. Possible traumatic brain injury early childhood, drug induced cognitive impairment (we have been seeing a lot of this lately with teens who now have easy access to powerful edibles and opioid. Good news is this is reversible to some extent), or cognitive issues stemming Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
I've had an enjoyable time using Whatnot and so far have not been shorted or scammed (lucky?). But I've been selective about who I bought from too. And mostly buy singles and slabs. Little easier to keep track of.....plus the product lately has been garbage (imo). Keep up the great detective work.
Before I ever buy with anyone on ebay I make sure to read thru they're feedback, If I see any red flags, I dont buy. So many shady sellers out there...
These scammer clowns never want to go on your show. But your channel is growing is becoming more and more a legitimate source for truth so pretty soon these scammers will have no choice but to either do right or explain themselves on your channel.
Question for everyone: since whatnot handles the payments, is it required or encouraged to go through whatnot for the refund? It may be needed for documentation purposes for the buyer to initiate the refund with whatnot, in which case that's not something to hold against the breaker.
What you hold against the breaker is the fact that the buyer got his shipment, except for the 1/1. If I get a notification of a shipment in the mail and it never shows up, blame to the USPS, or whoever was handling it, but none on the breaker. But, when I get what was in the break except for the most expensive/valuable card, blame falls on the breaker.

Everyone keeps saying that it'll be impossible for the card to be sold now that this has been made public. Shouldn't be too hard since A. the card itself hasn't been shown (so just knowing that it's a rookie year 1/1 isn't enough to go on). B. And then furthermore, many people will never hear about this (either because they just missed the story which has about a week's shelf life or they just don't follow Twitter/SCR, etc.
Doing breaks is a gamble and if you hit a gem like 1/1 of one of the hottest players at the moment getting 200 bucks from the app isn’t really helpful. The card was worth more than that. It seams like the cards in question are some of the better ones it’s suspicious to say the least that those didn’t make it. I’ve been a part of a bunch of breaks and have always been very selective of who I break with.
Good work bringing this to attention. I work in the sport card scene, but I’m only purchasing Pokémon through whatnot, and even in the Pokémon world there are whatnot sellers who scam.
People should already know that whatnot is designed to rip the customer if and WHEN a big hit comes through they have duplicates on standby which are lesser variant from the one that was pulled pack fresh. Only Pristine candidates are swapped or never shipped.
Not once in Blez’ interview did the breaker saw that he actually looked for the card. He just had the customer go through WhatNot. Maybe he did but you probably want to lead out with “I looked everywhere for it and can’t find it so here’s what we have to do” I think if he started off that way the customer wouldn’t have went to the levels he did. Makes you sound like you don’t care and have no intention of getting this guys card back. Have had my own experience with CBlez at a card show. Guy is an entitled jerkoff. I respect his brothers because they have actually put in the work to get where they are. He is just riding their coattails.
If I had a card missing, I would be upset! But 4 hours after finding out I was missing a card, I would not demand $1500 cash and threaten to file a police report. I would also not use the newfound publicity to try to start my own breaking company. I would wait a day to let the other party figure it out. That’s where this seems to be a little off
You can take the seller, LLC to claims court. If you do decide to buy from what not just record the buy on your phone so you can file a claims case with the court. In my opinion DONT BUY FROM WHAT NOT.
My card was stolen giveaway item on Whatnot in the Pokémon section. WhatNot actually took up for the vendor that stole my card and said it wasn't mine. This company takes up for shady players.
I don't ever have to worry about this because I open my own boxes. It cracks me up when these breakers yell and scream when they pull a high dollar card that they can't keep. It's like going to a strip club. Hey boobs, but I can't touch them.
I am a Breaker on WhatNot (same name) and have pulled cards valued over 5 k raw multiple times. Wemby redemptions!! What not is an amazing community and there are good channels that never have issues. Check the reviews and happy ripping!!! ☮️
The experiences I’ve ever had with our throne have been good and can’t complain. I’m surprised to hear that he may have done this, so I don’t know if I buy it if it’s just an accusation. But all I’m saying is I always got good vibes and never had an issue with him and how do we know the buyer never received the card? I’ve had a couple buyers on eBay trying to scam me and say they didn’t get a card.
Yo SCR go check out a YT short by Blez where he’s bragging about finally getting his dream card and it shows the actual conversation him and the seller had. Dude should be embarrassed to have posted the interaction because he basically tells the guy he has to sell it to him and he can’t walk around and find a better deal because then he would be using him and all this bullshit that a scammer would say and he actually in my opinion guilt tripped dude into selling that card. The buyer reached out to him about the issue late in the day, then followed up with a post on a major Facebook group within hours of first communication to Throne. Everyone took off with the story from there. I have no idea if the Tatis shipment was resolved because in this video the chat is cutoff after Thrones response and I don’t know any details on the J Walker auto aside from the random TH-cam comment you clipped in this video. Deeper dive into those and I would have an opinion. From the information I have heard about the Bobby Witt, I question the buyers intentions.
This right here 👆🏽, if we had a screenshot the hobby would be ultra aware of the exact 1/1 card in question and can help find it when it makes its way around. Where it pops up will be a huge indicator of whether this card was mishipped, the customer lied, or the breaker held the card.
Problem I see is over 90% of adult sports card collectors face prices of $250 for a hobby box, and have to decide on things like....what's the adult decision, 4 full tanks of gas, or a box of cosmic chrome. IMO prices and greedy Co. producing 10 million rc logos per player ruined this whole generation of cards. Imagine the mess in 10 years looking to buy a 2022 Julio Rodriguez. Imagine the tens of millions of Julio's to pick from. Definitely *worse* than the junk was era. IMO

Missing 1/1 in the shipment stands out as shady breaker move. Not the reverse. Habit of missing valuable few hundred to thousand here and there really sounds to me that the breaker wasn't happy a newbie got a monster hit and decides to keep the card as a self bonus or give it to a high dollar valued whale 🐳. Either way I'd stay away from this breaker forever.
Blez have been reliable Breakers for 6 years. I have had 1 card that was lost in that time and they sent full eBay value within 8 hours. You may not like their style but their legitimacy and honesty should not be flung around in a backhanded comment in my opinion.

I did a break with blez back in 2017 and they shipped my card to a wrong customer. It was a John collins auto cracked ice. They’re excuse was they thought it was Zach collins and shipped to blazers team break
Thank you so much for all you do. Can we get a picture posted of each of these cards that Throne “lost” so that they can’t ever just magically appear for sale somewhere else? Most importantly the 1/1. If we know the serial number on the cards of the other customers, it will prevent this clown from ever circulating the cards he is stealing.

Just give the buyer the option of paying an extra $5 with shipping with tracking so there will be no questions. Pretty simple solution.

Blez is a strange dude, agree with some others in the comments that the dude may be a bit slow. Possible traumatic brain injury early childhood, drug induced cognitive impairment (we have been seeing a lot of this lately with teens who now have easy access to powerful edibles and opioid. Good news is this is reversible to some extent), or cognitive issues stemming Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.

I've had an enjoyable time using Whatnot and so far have not been shorted or scammed (lucky?). But I've been selective about who I bought from too. And mostly buy singles and slabs. Little easier to keep track of.....plus the product lately has been garbage (imo).

Question for everyone: since whatnot handles the payments, is it required or encouraged to go through whatnot for the refund? It may be needed for documentation purposes for the buyer to initiate the refund with whatnot, in which case that's not something to hold against the breaker.
So what I break on whatnot and if I hit a banger I just get to refund the customer and keep the card?
What you hold against the breaker is the fact that the buyer got his shipment, except for the 1/1. If I get a notification of a shipment in the mail and it never shows up, blame to the USPS, or whoever was handling it, but none on the breaker. But, when I get what was in the break except for the most expensive/valuable card, blame falls on the breaker.

Everyone keeps saying that it'll be impossible for the card to be sold now that this has been made public. Shouldn't be too hard since A. the card itself hasn't been shown (so just knowing that it's a rookie year 1/1 isn't enough to go on). B. And then furthermore, many people will never hear about this (either because they just missed the story which has about a week's shelf life or they just don't follow Twitter/SCR, etc.
Doing breaks is a gamble and if you hit a gem like 1/1 of one of the hottest players at the moment getting 200 bucks from the app isn’t really helpful. The card was worth more than that. It seams like the cards in question are some of the better ones it’s suspicious to say the least that those didn’t make it. I’ve been a part of a bunch of breaks and have always been very selective of who I break with.
Good work bringing this to attention. I work in the sport card scene, but I’m only purchasing Pokémon through whatnot, and even in the Pokémon world there are whatnot sellers who scam.
This has happened to me 3 times. Pay for the break get a auto hit and they dont send the shit you pull.
People should already know that whatnot is designed to rip the customer if and WHEN a big hit comes through they have duplicates on standby which are lesser variant from the one that was pulled pack fresh. Only Pristine candidates are swapped or never shipped.

Not once in Blez’ interview did the breaker saw that he actually looked for the card. He just had the customer go through WhatNot. Maybe he did but you probably want to lead out with “I looked everywhere for it and can’t find it so here’s what we have to do” I think if he started off that way the customer wouldn’t have went to the levels he did. Makes you sound like you don’t care and have no intention of getting this guys card back.
Have had my own experience with CBlez at a card show. Guy is an entitled jerkoff. I respect his brothers because they have actually put in the work to get where they are. He is just riding their coattails.

If I had a card missing, I would be upset! But 4 hours after finding out I was missing a card, I would not demand $1500 cash and threaten to file a police report. I would also not use the newfound publicity to try to start my own breaking company. I would wait a day to let the other party figure it out. That’s where this seems to be a little off
You can take the seller, LLC to claims court. If you do decide to buy from what not just record the buy on your phone so you can file a claims case with the court. In my opinion DONT BUY FROM WHAT NOT.

I am a Breaker on WhatNot (same name) and have pulled cards valued over 5 k raw multiple times. Wemby redemptions!! What not is an amazing community and there are good channels that never have issues. Check the reviews and happy ripping!!! ☮️

The experiences I’ve ever had with our throne have been good and can’t complain. I’m surprised to hear that he may have done this, so I don’t know if I buy it if it’s just an accusation. But all I’m saying is I always got good vibes and never had an issue with him and how do we know the buyer never received the card? I’ve had a couple buyers on eBay trying to scam me and say they didn’t get a card.
Yo SCR go check out a YT short by Blez where he’s bragging about finally getting his dream card and it shows the actual conversation him and the seller had. Dude should be embarrassed to have posted the interaction because he basically tells the guy he has to sell it to him and he can’t walk around and find a better deal because then he would be using him and all this bullshit that a scammer would say and he actually in my opinion guilt tripped dude into selling that card. The buyer reached out to him about the issue late in the day, then followed up with a post on a major Facebook group within hours of first communication to Throne. Everyone took off with the story from there. I have no idea if the Tatis shipment was resolved because in this video the chat is cutoff after Thrones response and I don’t know any details on the J Walker auto aside from the random TH-cam comment you clipped in this video. Deeper dive into those and I would have an opinion. From the information I have heard about the Bobby Witt, I question the buyers intentions.

I screen record when buying off whatnot. At bare minimum screen shot your wins for proof.
This right here 👆🏽, if we had a screenshot the hobby would be ultra aware of the exact 1/1 card in question and can help find it when it makes its way around. Where it pops up will be a huge indicator of whether this card was mishipped, the customer lied, or the breaker held the card.

Problem I see is over 90% of adult sports card collectors face prices of $250 for a hobby box, and have to decide on things like....what's the adult decision, 4 full tanks of gas, or a box of cosmic chrome. IMO prices and greedy Co. producing 10 million rc logos per player ruined this whole generation of cards. Imagine the mess in 10 years looking to buy a 2022 Julio Rodriguez. Imagine the tens of millions of Julio's to pick from. Definitely *worse* than the junk was era. IMO

Missing 1/1 in the shipment stands out as shady breaker move. Not the reverse. Habit of missing valuable few hundred to thousand here and there really sounds to me that the breaker wasn't happy a newbie got a monster hit and decides to keep the card as a self bonus or give it to a high dollar valued whale 🐳. Either way I'd stay away from this breaker forever.

Blez have been reliable Breakers for 6 years. I have had 1 card that was lost in that time and they sent full eBay value within 8 hours. You may not like their style but their legitimacy and honesty should not be flung around in a backhanded comment in my opinion.
