Max man, love your videos. We can't travel to the motherland right now so it's wonderful watching you guys go around eating all our favourite foods in Vietnam. Your Viet is getting good, keep it up. And you blew my mind with your Japanese as well. A man of many talents. And Akari is adorable. Her Vietnamese is incredible for someone who has only lived there for a few years. She definitely needs to make more appearances in your videos.

I am wondering the district 11 turned to busy city with many restaurants. When I was kid I went here for summer vacation this place were rural and many Vietnamese and ethnic Chinese have houses near each others, the peddlers carried hot foods but he spoke only Cantonese, I had to learned to know what he sold and I could order. With time going I spoke mixed Vietnamese and Cantonese. All summer under hot sun we played with Cantonese kids many games from soccer, swimming or catching fishes or insects in the lake. Now all houses are erected and populated but there are many good places for foods. I wish I am here to eat. I love the beauty of District 11.
Akari is beautiful, elegant, and graceful. :) Banh cuon is one of my most favorite things to eat. I would have asked for 3 servings since those are not enough for me. Hahaha! And that second place you went to, that kinda blew my mind because we always ate canh chua with rice, but they made it into a noodle dish with all the normal Vietnamese veggies and herbs accompaniment and it looked delicious! Canh chua is already a favorite for us Vietnamese folks, but that was new to me. I would LOVE to go eat oysters 24 different ways - minus the strawberry and peanut butter one (it might have been okay if it wasn't so sweet and they spiced it up). But wow, just wow!
Max, I recently discovered you and I have been watching most of your videos. I want to say "thank you" so much for sharing your love and experiences in Vietnam. You have made it soooo good. How can u taste the flavors when u put so much hot chills on everything. My nose is running just watching u eat❤️you r so brave, jelly on oyster yucky . Once I thought the green stuff by my sushi was avocado so I put the whole mound on my spoon and put it in my mouth, I thought I was going to die.😩😂 please keep doing ur videos because I for one just truly enjoy them. thank you😍
Actually, slurping in Vietnam is considered rude. We were taught to eat quietly and elegantly, not making too much sound. This is totally different from Chinese, Japanese and Korean cultures.
Max, I just started to watch your vlogs(all the treats and eats in vietnam)... your vlogs are so so good! I have been wanting to go Vietnam and just eat, ship, coffee, and relax and eat more. Your vlogs are so helpful because you also give the information on where the spots you've eat at. THANKS!!! BTW, the moment when you ate that Wasabi oyster was the Best !!!!!!!! You were so cool! You mentioned that it brought you back to your childhood sushi buffet with your dad! That expression/moment(after you popped that Wasabi oyster in your mouth), that was the KODAK MOMENT! It brought back sweet past memories, but at same time, it gave you present joy and tears from that very Wasabi oyster. I can almost feel what you felt and tasted! Good job. Max, once this COVID pandemic is over, I will 100% plan to go vietnam for , at least, 1-2months. I wonder if you will be in VN at that time. I love to hang out with you. I planned to bring my wife and 2 kids with me too. We are in north California(Bay area).
